Ive been here a few times and the pools are clean and relaxing. Its been a few years since I was here last but the fun part for me was the mud bath. You get to rub mud all over yourself or your partner and lay in the sun until it dries and there are showers to wash it off.I hope they still have that. Its great for your skin. You can also get a message or just float around in the pool.

I love Glen Ivy, the amount of pools and atmosphere is just wonderful. I was planning on getting a gift card as a gift for 2 people, and then saw its $300 a person. Prices were already pretty expensive before COVID. Ive recommended this place to so many people and I know not one of them would pay $300. I understand that it must of been a difficult adjustment, but theres other solutions. Can you please bring back your general admission price? Even if you only allowed 1 day a week for limited general admission, it means a lot to your loyal visitors and to the new ones that want to experience a nice spa day.

Glen Ivy Hot Springs is a place not today be missed. Ive been here in Los Angeles for seventeen years and finally got to see and feel what this place is all about which is self care and love! With your choices of seventeen different pools, freezing cold, hot, saline, minerals, etc. Each with its own beneficial properties! The ground are well taken cared for and the service and staff here are amazing. What a great way to spend a day pampering yourself mentally, physically and emotionally!

If you are looking for great day of relaxation, conversation with great friends and family this is it. I have been here more than a number of occasions and each time I left relaxed and glad I came. I get a massage, then soak in their saline pool for about an hour. You must try the hot/cold pool, what an exhilarating experience that it. If you can stand the heat the mineral springs pools are great and leave your skin feeling soft. I enjoy putting on the mud, soaking up the sun until its dry and then take a soak in the mud pool. The food is delicious and it’s nice that they have service poolside. We rented our lounge chairs and were set up in private balcony overlooking the resort. What a great way to spend your day.

Pricey splurge. Lovely location. Away from the bustle and noise of SoCal. Lovely facilities. Great landscaping and layout. Some of the best lockers Ive seen. Just the right amount of shaded and sunny areas. I wish they could expand their highlighted mineral pools. On a busy day you may not get a chance to dip here. The main reason I couldnt give a 5 is the high price and the fact that you cant go back to your car to get something. Once you step off--thats it. The only way to get back in is to pay full price again.

Im was not a spa guy but Glen Ivy has changed my mind. From the moment you arrive there is a sense of peacefulness. Staff are friendly and attentive, the amenities are super refreshing. From the hot cold plunge pools to the mineral springs, each area has something new to offer. Club mud is a wonderful experience where you can apply cleansing clay to your body and hang in the sun. Then head over to the grotto for a lavish moisturizing experience. What a relaxing day. We will definitely be back.

I have been here three times before always a great experience. This time it was not. They did not let me know ahead of time that you cannot have floats in the float pool. The grotto was closed. The sauna was closed. The salt water hot tub was down for repairs. We asked the kitchen if they had ice cream, they said we could get it at the Goco cafe. So we went there. The guy there said no we could get it from the kitchen. While we waited he left and a girl came and said they just had enough frozen yogurt for one. But they might be able to make the other one but she wasnt sure. She then said they could refund me for the one that they could not make. I told her I wanted refunded for both because I was not going to eat mine in front of my husband if they could not make his. She also told me she did not know when they would be able to refund me. And the managers were too busy to talk to me. The only thing that saved the day is that we got an amazing massage.

This is my second time going and it really is remarkable. Excellent service, beautiful grounds, very serene, great amenities and incredible value for the Taking the Waters Admission. It is a great self-care treat, day date, or group getaway. Your skin feels amazing and you feel rejuvenated after a day there. Both times we have gotten massages and overall they were great. This time we had our massages in the North End, which i found more relaxing as the offices are more secluded, it was quieter, and the landscaping it gorgeous; highly recommend requesting this area. The massage area at the top of the grounds is closer to the pools and it was noisy and distracting. The Grotto was a fantastic experience. The cooling showers were excellent. My only wish is that the seating area in the sauna after you are lathered with the moisturizing treatment were slightly lower to the ground as you easily slide off because of the slipperiness of the treatment. It can get very crowded and noisy at times, so if you want less crowds consider going during the week and slightly off season. They have great package deals on treatments that also include the admission to the Taking the Waters.Ivy Kitchen offers delicious food with a decent variety from healthy to not as healthy.I cant wait to return.

7/3/20- the website, phone system and online chat is a complete joke. The worst when trying to book ANYTHING. (Thank you to Emily with concierge she was the best). Our grotto got cancelled and out of the 7 people that booked only 1 person got notified that it was cancelled. The rest of us never got emails or were contacted. I had to reach out to Emily to find out and get refunded. The website states what to expect when you get to glen ivy (they assign chairs, sanitizer stations, kiosk to order food, 2 towels per person, you have to eat your food at your assigned chairs) non of that was true on the day of!When we got there there was a lady checking to see if we signed the waiver (I never got the text, they provide you with the number to text and sign) then you go to the bag check lady. Then you get in line to check it. I assumed at check in that they were going to assign our chairs but they didn’t and it was first come first serve. Once we got our chairs for our group of 6 the section we were in had 8 chairs and because of social distance the last 2 chairs were to close to our group for anyone to use. After multiple people trying to sit in those to chairs I finally hunted a worker down to properly social distance those chairs from us.You can no longer order alcohol you have to purchase an entree in order to get 2 alcoholic beverages. That means if you want anymore drinks you have to purchase another entree. (This got expensive). There was no kiosk to order and the text message system to order food did not work. You have to go to the kitchen area to order and someone delivers it. The outside eating area is open to people to eat at the tables. You can eat at your chair but bees will be ALL OVER YOU! This was miserable especially since we spent so much money on food we couldn’t eat.The only time we seen people clean was at club mud. We never seen anyone clean the pool handles. There was also a sign that masks must be worn at all times in the locker room but NO one was wearing masks besides the workers. The one great thing about the day was the lack of p

Left after 45 minutes. Way too many people. Every pool and spa was completely full. There were hundreds of people here by 10am. No way to social distance except possibly at your lounge chairs, but only if you got a good spot. They say they reserve the chairs for you but you have to claim one when you arrive. Waited over 45 minutes in line to get in WITH a reservation. People were cutting in line and the staff just allowed it. The people who cut did not go through the health screening. When asked about this the staff said it was all just one line and they were still figuring things out. If this is 50% capacity I cannot even imagine how this place is normally. One of the main pools is only 1.5 feet deep too, like a childrens pool?!? I was expecting a resort spa experience and this place is more like a Cabo spring break beach party atmosphere. My apartment pool is more relaxing and safer than this place. SOOO disappointed that I paid for this place on my anniversary.

Awesome day for relaxing. The restaurant is always good and the portions are substantial, a good value there but Glen Ivy had made a lot of changes; they raised their prices and now only guarantee entry if you book a service. In my opinion, their services are not that great and are double the price of most other places! Do come for a relaxing day; do pay $35 for the Grotto experience, it too cost more than it used to but its still worth it. If they continue to raise their prices though I wont be going back.

I enjoyed every moment at Glen Ivy Hot Springs. It was so relaxing and rejuvenating experience. There are many different pools (hot, cold, mineral etc), sauna and float pool. After a busy holiday week, this retreat is definitely a must. The club mud is really unique from other spa places I have been to. It dries out so fast that you need to either reapply another thin layer on your skin or so rinse it off before it dries your skin. The Grotto treatment is a whole body mask treatment with additional $25. It adds the perfect ending to our experience. The staffs by the pool sides are very polite and friendly. I see them constantly folding new towels for customers and taking away used one. I had not encountered any staffs that was rude or impolite. However, the kitchen staff who was tall and works as the one who takes orders that was a bit of inpatient when we requested vegan food. His facial expression was subtle and walked away when we requested changing lettuce wraps to slices of toast. The food was okay but not so much vegan/allergy friendly. I guess better than nothing to choose from. They also have juice bar and Starbucks for you to choose from. There are some classes throughout the day such as Tai-chi, yoga, aqua fitness. These are few of charge. You can definitely make the best out of it.The only thing I don’t really appreciate is people don’t respect the rules of being quiet. They talk out loud when there is a sign saying talk in whisper volume. And the staff don’t really try to discourage this behavior. If you prefer tranquil experience, the one in NorCal called Refuge has better quiet policy.

Glen Ivy Hot Springs is in my opinion The One Above All when it comes to spas in ALL of California. California has many wonderful spas for sure, California is considered the Youth seeking pioneers in all U.S.A, and Glen Ivy Hot Springs is rightfully the King of Anti-Aging and whole body healing from aches & pains to arthritis to back problems to sore muscles and anything thats causing discomfort within your temple (body). All thanks to a miraculous natural Hot Springs system within the mountains of Glen Ivy, this water has everything the human body needs to regenerate. It contains all trace minerals and all kinds of sciencey stuff I highly recommend googling. They have many different treatments that you would find in your local spa along with a couple unique ones like the revitalizing clay mud body masks along with (which is my favorite) the hot and cold water treatment also know as Contrast Hydrotherapy.Alternating hot and cold (contrast hydrotherapy) is a common hydrotherapy treatment. The hot application expands blood vessels, filling them with blood, and the cold application constricts the blood vessels, forcing the blood to move on to other parts of the body. Now for the best part, PRICES!! Monday - Friday is 50.00$$ Saturday-Sunday raises up to 70.00$$ . Now if you live local and would love to go more than once a month, I would definitely recommend the YEARLY PASS which currently sits at a cool 1000.00$$ which is 110% worth it! Theres no payment plans but just put it on a credit card and youll be fine. In conclusion, if youre trying to heal, stay young, regenerate, and love your body as much as the universe loves you, I recommend Glen Ivy to you, for a day or for the year pass, best spa in California and I dare say even all U.S.A ! Blessing and happiness to you all, mahalos! ️

Best experience of my life! This is truly a hidden gem here in SoCal. Like, you would never expect something this nice to be 1,way out in the middle of nothing and 2 the weather to be this awesome. I went here for a spa day with my friend from work ;we each had facials and enjoyed the amenities. We got in the mineral springs and the saline pool. We lounged on the poolside chairs and read our novels, and periodically, a server would come and ask if we needed another drink (the mojitos and mimosas are delicious). Overall, I was surprised by 1 all of the workers were positive and friendly, 2 the grounds are larger than they initially seemed, 3 admission alone gives you access to ALOT,, 4 the wide variety of patrons (both diverse in age and demographics) and 5, by not allowing in anyone under 14, the noise level was perfect (Im a mom and I didnt anticipate how peaceful it was to not hear kids all day). We stayed from 10:30 am to 5pm (if you come after 2pm, admission is almost halt off). Its a historical place, which was really interesting to read about in the welcome center and the cafe serves Starbucks! I enjoyed myself immensely and came back feeling so refreshed and rejuvenated, people were asking me if something was wrong, because I was so calm! Definitely coming back and Im considering getting the membership. Drinks are roughly around $10 and food is kinda pricey too. Towels, water, and your lockers in the bath house are free. Most of the other patrons were friendly, while not being intrusive, which was really nice. Two thumbs up!

I have been to many hot springs around North and South America. I would call this particular one overpriced and restrictive.Pros: beautiful facility, variety of pools, fun mud bath section, delicious on site restaurant (and cafe?), free water all around, tons of space.Cons: TONS of people, needed reservations in advance, massage treatments were also fully booked so don’t plan on walking in in peak season for that. No ins and outs plus no outside food allowed in means you are forced to eat at the expensive onsite restaurant if you want to stay there all day.Basically, this place was very nice but in terms of value received for the price, there are other gems / better deals to be found not too far from here.

I wish they where on groupon that would be great. But services where amazing very clean location. Every bathroom was clean and stocked. I enjoyed the grotto it was A-One a must try. Im still very relaxed 3 hours later.

This place was heaven on earth! Im from Dallas. I was on California to help my best friend finish packing. What a way to end the week! We were there from opening to close. I think we partook in just about everything. Our plan is to do this every other year.

Ive known about this place for 20 years and finally went. Took my wife and daughter for a holiday spa day just days before Christmas. It was a little cold and rainy yet absolutely unbeatable conditions. The cold mist actually felt great hitting you while in the hot baths. The crowd was minimal. The grounds were perfectly kept. Staff was pleasant. 6/5 stars!

This place was SO CROWDED that it was just awful. We went for the Twilight special, so we arrived at 4:00. It was terribly hot on a July day, of course. But the cold pools were filled with people shoulder to shoulder, and the water in them was kind of white. These were not mineral water pools. So they just looked unclean to me, like they were just over used and had WAY too many people in them all summer long. I kept encountering hair in the water and saw gunk on the bottom of the pool that looked suspicious. EEEEEWWWW!!!!I was just so GROSSED OUT!!! I was with a group of friends, and not all of us were as revolted as I was, but all I kept thinking was that clean water should look CLEAN, and feel clean. There were probably people that were coming out of the mud baths and getting into the regular pools. That probably contributed to the mess.I won’t be back. Just disgusting.

I love it here!! This is a great place to go to relax and pamper yourself. Sulphur baths, saunas, steam rooms and you cant forget the mud baths. Who doesnt like putting mud (clay) all over their bodies and baking in the sun till it dries and then showering off! The skin feels so soft, if like me you have a sun tan then DONT rub it off. There is a nice restaurant on site, we had wraps and prosecco.

Full service day spa....... Paradise in the desert. Dont have time or money for a tropical vacation here is a beautiful fun choice. So many things to see or do. Every shape and size person feels welcome. I have been coming for 40 years most recently with a large work group. We rented out the citrus cabana and recieved impeccable service. But you need not rent for great service. Every staff member is helpful and takes the extra step. Towels, toiletries and water provided thru out the property. Numerous places to drink and eat. But fair warning no outside food or liquids. You will be given the option to return it to your car or throw it away.Go early, and/or get a reservation. Very affordable fun.
