I really liked this place a lot! Service was great, food was delicious and drinks were tasty! I will totally go back there next time Im there!

I have yet to try the pub itself. It was chaotic the time I visited the pub which is to be expected because it was St. Patricks day. The biggest celebration of the year, and also hosted by the pub, which explains the place being crowded. A second visit is in the works so I can marvel at this historic pub shipped all the way from Ireland when its more quiet and calm Take 2: So, we went back for dinner on a Friday night and it was relatively full so there was a bit of a wait. I had the Bourbon beef Medallion which was huge thick round slabs of beef meat. The sauce was good. However, the beef was too thick for my liking. I did enjoy the green beans and mashed potatoes. Their Vegetable Ratatouille was ok. It was a pleasant first time experience. However, it may not be the best place if you prefer a quiet dining setting sans loud, blaring music. On the plus side, its a historical pub so that adds appeal to the place.

Love the atmosphere. Great food and drinks. I ordered 3 different mixed drinks and they were all deciduous and all the food we ordered was spot on. Well definitely be going back.

Absolutely AMAZING place! Irish pub that was brought over piece by piece from Ireland! The owner greeted me and introduced his staff, never felt so welcome to a new place! Food is excellent, ambiance perfect and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have bands at times inside and outside venues. Truly amazed by this place!

Great place to drink and enjoy time with family. Very unique setting hidden in Lake Norman. Great menu with traditional Irish food or specials from a great Kitchen staff. Live music and events make this place a go to. Especially on St. Patrick’s Day. Highly recommend.

Amber was great to work with! So kind and accommodating while helping our small group of family and friends to gather safely under COVID restrictions for a Celebration of Life. We had the best experience using the event space upstairs, Waterford Hall, for my sister’s baby shower. Amber, the event coordinator, was so helpful, kind and organized. Throughout the process, she was prompt at responding back to us, helping us coordinate food, setup, and everything in between. They let us in bright and early, helped in every way possible, and the food was amazing. We looked at many events spaces, and this one is the best in the area by a landslide. Absolutely would recommend this space for any event. Thank you so much for the amazing experience! Our guests are still raving about how beautiful the baby shower was.

Thursday is our favorite day of the week to stop by! Half off apps and pints, no better combo. We were stuffed after the Dublin loaded fries with sausage bangers (10/10), and went on to try the spiciest wings they have, ye old 62 (which are not for the faint of heart). Staff was friendly as always!

I went here yesterday and had the shepard’s pie. The food was amazing, the portions were good, and it was reasonably priced. Great atmosphere too. I left satisfied and I will definitely be back again.

This place is beyond amazing! Everything was cooked fresh in the kitchen. The service was phenomenal.. bars and restaurants need to take after here. Once I was done with a plate someone would walk by and grab it immediately!! Great drink specials.. i was looking at other peoples plates and it all looked delish! The chef was also going around asking for peoples input! Will definitely be back asap to try other items on the menu!! Ps sheppards pie was the best ive ever had in the states! Well done

Probably one of the best meals Ive had in a long time.Their cabbage was delicious and the desserts were just on another level. I also had a chance to talk with the owner and chef and they are just fantastic people with a passion for food.

The best Reuben I have had!! This sandwich is overflowing with the most tender corned beef. The sweet potato fries are so good. The staff is always friendly.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered the Reuben sandwich worst reuban I have ever had in my life. First there was way too much meat, then the meat itself did not taste good. I think they forgot the thousand island. I tried kitchen up, ranch, salt and pepper...nothing coud save this sandwich. The fries were also nasty. Just remove this item off the menu because if it could go wrong it did

I cant say anything bad about this place. It is nicely laid out and the outdoor dining is reminiscent of a vine garden with unique seating. The staff is much nicer than they were when frequented this place years ago.

My favorite Irish pub in the state. We even had our rehearsal dinner here! Pub bar was actually constructed in Ireland and moved to NC! Definitely try the bangers and mash, or get the Belfast breakfast for brunch!

Wife and I went here with high hopes as we love good pub food. Unfortunately for us this place doesnt seem to have any. Meatloaf was hands down the worst Ive ever had. Mashed potatoes were runny and they overcooked my wifes bourbon medallions.Worse was the service. Asked the waitress for opinions on meatloaf vs bangers and mash. Claimed the meatloaf really was better than her grandmothers. Later after I ordered the thing confessed shed never actually tried it. Thanks a lot.We left after a single beer dinners largely untouched. Will not be returning and do not recommend. First $0 tip Ive given in over a decade.

We had a soccer dinner there. They did a wonderful job. This place is from Ireland which makes it so nice and authentic.

Consistently very good food, particularly the Irish food. My wife and I have been coming on and off for over ten years. We loved the fish and chips and Sheppards pie and of course the bread pudding which we shared. The fries were very good too. My son liked them and his sandwich. The portions are big but though not cheap, its not particularly expensive either. A wee bit noisy but it is a pub after all. The draft beer was cheap!

Sat at the bar. The bartenders are very energetic, extremely friendly and great at their job. Tried the Bavarian pretzel with mustard and cheese sauce (served separately). It was heavenly!

We just visited their Easter Brunch buffet and it was amazing! Everything was well cooked, there was tons of food, our waitress was wonderful and all the staff was very friendly and helpful. We love visiting this Irish pub, it gives us the authentic Ireland feel and the food is always on point. We especially love the breakfast shots with their homemade peppered bacon. Its also nice that we can being our 3 kids with us and feel like we are at a nice family restaurant and they always take care of us. We will certainly continue to enjoy our favorite Irish pub in the area!

Awesome place to eat and drink. Its a fun and festive spirit of Ireland. Fun time environment. Galway Hooker makes sure you are enjoying yourself and throws a great Saint Patricks day party festival. Everyone around enjoyed their selves.

So far the last three visits have been 5 star between the service, food, and cleanliness. Also, odd, but - extra points for using quality hand soap that actually lathers.

Love coming here after work! Great beer selection and the food is delicious. I recently took my dad here when he came into town and he said it was the best corned beef and cabbage he’s ever had which is very high praise. He’s like Ron Swanson, his endorsement means something.

Birthday celebration on a Saturday night. We had a 30 min wait that turned into over am hour. Thankfully theres a place to sit and drink and visit w your friends. So, we were there to have fun so an hour wait wasnt super annoying. Once we got seated our waitress was excellent. She had a great personality, made great recommendations, and was attentive. The beer selection is decent. The spinach artichoke dip was devoured in mind utes it was so good. Our waitress recommended fish and chips. Our group of 4 all got fish and chips and we all felt like it was an amazing meal. Definitely going back. Hopefully when not as busy.

This is the second St. Patrick’s day at Galway and oh how they have lost their Irish minds when it comes to customer service. OMG.Last year we had a wonderful time. This year not so much. We waited in line for a first come first serve choose your own table. Three couples in our party, we found a table outside on the patio, with only 3 chairs. So I thought I would find some chairs for the 3 remaining people without a place to sit and order dinner. I attempted to go inside the restaurant and was stopped by a security guard who informed me that I could not enter this door and must go back to the front entrance and rejoin the line.I spoke with the security person at this door and he challenged me on where I was sitting and with whom. He then accompanied me to the patio to view my party and discuss with the previously mentioned security person as to if I was indeed sitting on the patio. After discussing this I was allowed to find a chair, take it outside to our table and then back to the front door and repeat this for 2 additional times.We finally have enough chairs and one of ladies in our group need to visit the ladies room. She is told to go to the end of the line at the front door and wait until she gets back in.The waitress comes to our table at some point and we want to order dinner and are informed that they will not take our order without first securing a credit card from each couple.You know what. I don’t need to be treated like this nor do I believe anyone does.We have choices that we make and I will choose not to be here ever again on St. Patrick’s day!Have a great week everyone!

Good good. Good service. On busy nights or events it can be near impossible to get in. But it’s a perfect place to go to on st Patrick’s day.Fish and chips are the best.

Wonderful Experience from the time we walked in until the time we left. Our two waiters were wonderful, with suggestions from the menu as well as other good places to eat around the area.We sat out on the patio and had a great view of the village and people walking by. The Decour is rustic, like a pub you would find in Europe. Our service was prompt, attentive and fun. We ordered whiskey and wine before our meal. The pours were ample.We split the Shepards Pie, from the Irish Fare section of the menu. It comes with a side, and we chose steamed broccoli. The shepherds pie was absolutely delicious! The potatoes were creamy and buttery, and the meat had a rich gravy that tasted like it may have had a hint of Guinness in it. The broccoli with steamed perfectly, with butter and Parmesan cheese.I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning to this little gym the next time Im in Huntersville.

The food was great but the service was even better. There was an elderly couple that came in and sat near me. They were very picky about everything and even asked to have the music turned down and changed. The staff responded very nicely and made the changes. My friend and I shared the garlic shrimp and nachos. Very tasty!

I also visited the Galway on Saturday, August 10 for dinner and the dueling piano. When we arrived, we were told that the show wouldnt start til 10pm although all the advertising stated 9pm. First of many disappointments. It was unbearably hot and we complained many times about the A/C. At no point did anyone let us know that the A/C was not working in the front of the house and no one did anything to alleviate the heat. We had to open the doors to get some air in the building. The service was far from perfect. My food arrived cold, i sent it back and when I recd it back again, it was till cold. Table was cleared, waters werent filled and at no time did the waiter ever come back to ask if we wanted anything or how our food was. Very disappointing. VERY!

One of the only things I miss about living in Cornelius! Love the Guinness and atmosphere ️
