Great place for walking but not the best place for kids. Playground is not suitable for toddlers at all and monkey bars and slide are extremely tall even for adults. Also Google Maps brings you to the wrong location, the entrance is on NW 40th Street.

Very peaceful. There is never a lot of people there so you can easily find peace and quiet there except for the sounds of nature. Nice place to bird watch also. I think I spotted at least 8 to 10 different species of birds today. I had never bird watched before today; it was kind of cool. God is amazing.

Proof that there are trees somewhere, still, in Coral Springs. I wish the grass was better kept. The grass here looks like it is all weeds.Restroom was well-kept with nice size purse hooks. Great sanctuary.

The park has a beautiful playground, however I would not recommend it for toddlers as the playground is really tall.

Beautiful relaxing park environment. Well kept shady walking trails for day time. Kind of secluded so walk on groups with some pepper spray, ladies!

I came here to explore and get some exercise but all I found was a locked fence. I have visited many nature areas lately in several towns, Coconut Creek, Deerfield beach, and Boca Raton and none of them lock the paths in the natural area. I dont get it. Maybe it has to do with the fact that there are gopher turtles back there? I will have to come back for a tour on a first Saturday of the month to see what is going on. Since I was looking for a walking trail in nature there was nothing for me here. There is however a lovely looking playground. This brings me to the second reason I didnt like this sanctuary. While I was trying to see if there was some kind of nature path someone who was way too old to be using the playground came and sat on the swings and them proceeded to openly stare at me. As I was the only other person in the park it gave me the creeps. I promptly left in search of happier trails.

What is the reason to have a public restroom if it is closed and smell in the nearby bushes is telling people have to solve it somehow?
