This place is a delight. Good value for family fun and recreation. The concessions are not *that* expensive but there are plenty of places to tailgate or have a picnic nearby in the grounds which is the cheapest option. Its best to come on weekdays and when it is *really* hot, 85° plus. But. Like I said, its great anytime.

The water park was lovely but the wave pool is extremely dangerous and my brother and I both almost drowned in it, and it was so crowded in there that none of the lifeguards noticed either time.

Great place to bring the family. Tons of lifeguards, huge wave pool. There are multiple good sized water slides. There is also a lazy river and huge kitty pool area with water guns and waterfalls. Lockers to rent and restaurant on site. Easy place to spend 4-5 hours. Kids always have a blast here. Come early as the chairs full up quick!

This is a nice place to bring the kids for a fun day in the water. We came here on a Friday and the level of occupancy wasnt too bad. About $60 for a family of 4 after admission and parking. (You have to pay to park as well as enter as its a water park inside a state park)They have a wave pool, water slides, a lazy river and more. Plus they have concessions. Tube rental is extra so be aware.

Absolutely loved it! It wasnt so hot so it was just fine. I didnt go on the slides just on the pool and the river. One thing i didnt like was one of the lifeguards wasnt paying attention to a group of young kids. He kept watching them but nver told them to stop. Another lifeguard got up and talked to the kids.

What waterparks are the reviewers going to that claim this place is overpriced? For the money, this is a great day in the sun. The food isnt expensive for a place like this. They have rules that arent posted anywhere. Not online, not on the rules boards at the park. You dont find out about these rules until you are in the water being yelled at. So thats super cool. Management needs to fix some stuff and have ALL rules available to public.

The water park part is good but the food court scammed me of 3 dollars when I ordered french frys and Skittles which are 3 dollars each so it should have been 6 dollars. They charged me 9 dollars. On top of that I lost ANOTHER 3 dollars to the vending machine which took my money and didnt give me anything.

I was so disappointed with our experience today at Bunker Beach. I was super excited to try this place as we usually go to the St. Louis Park Rec Center, Maple Grove or Edina.Bunker Beach was much more expensive, $15 a person plus $6 for parking. The water was absolutely freezing and one of the main water play areas was closed. We will not be going back.

Just took a group of 3 adults and 6 children to this waterpark for the first time. Got there a little after 11:30am and stayed until 4pm. Kids were entertained the entire time. We were able to grab a few chairs in the sun because everything in the shade was taken. We order 2 pizza meals and a tender meal to snack on. That came to $40. Pizza was small and the frozen kind which wasnt all that. I didnt notice any stares because of our race. Then again I dont really care or pay attention. Some seemed freindly and smiled. Overall would return again.

Its a little spendy but we always have a good time. It is worth the price if you are able to make a day of it. I love all the different options of things to do. Kids area, water slides both with and without tubes, lazy river, wave pool and more! The water in the wave pool could be a little warmer. The ice cream is great but the food could be better.

Wave pool, lazy river, water slides and young childrens play area. Plenty of chairs in the sun or shade. A lot of unsupervised children:/ hence the multiple safety breaks where very few people are listening to the unprofessional (giggling) announcement of rules. Picnic area just outside to bring a healthy food option.

One of the best water parks I Have seen in a long time they had really nice staff a very fun wavepool with affordable tubes to go with it. loved the fun lazy river if you want to relax or play in it. I dont really care for beaches and water parks myself, but I can see why people who do like these things might really enjoy this place! I did appreciate all of the lifeguards everywhere. However even my kid, who likes this stuff, was over it after about an hour and a half, so its not somewhere wed get a season pass to or anything. But well still like go once a year maybe.

For how much you pay you think it should be bigger. Way over crowded and everyone is shoving everyone and the lazy river is not lazy when you have kids racing and pushing adults and life guards dont say nothing. Plus family restrooms have showers but dont work and they have no other private showers. My family will never go here again. It is awful and for how much you pay to get in you would think they would be better. Not happy at all.

Wave pool is weak and some life guards are rude. Theyre so scared someone else will die in the wave pool now they even have a lifeguard in the water at all times. The tube slides are good but the half pipe slides suck. The lazy river would be better if it didnt have pressurized water spraying you like a firehose at that one spot. It would be nice to they had adult nights for 21+ folks. All the kids get in the way and are rude since thier parents arent supervising them.

Review №51

Celebrated a 6th birthday party here on Saturday. It was the first time weve ever visited. You have to pay for parking. Rented cabana was spacious and we liked having a spot for all our stuff and a reserved meet-up space. Food took too long - we got it after our reserved time - but they let us stay long enough to eat and it tasted good. Options were hamburgers, hot dogs, or corn dogs along with personal bag of chips and glass of pop. The cake was delicious. Concession stands sell food; no outside food allowed but you can bring food to eat in the outside picnic areas - just get a hand stamp to come back in. After our cabana time people either moved their things to lockers (paid) or to some of the grassy areas or available beach chairs. Despite the perfect weather it wasnt over crowded. The wave pool was amazing (and quite a workout on the arms) but its annoying that you have to rent tubes for that one pool (or get it with cabana rental). The childrens play area held the little ones interest for a long time - it was hard to drag them away so we took advantage of the regular safety breaks - when everyone has to get out of the pools - to get them to leave. The lazy river was relaxing. We didnt try the larger slides because the kids were too short but they look like a lot of fun. Everyone had a wonderful time!

We tried going a couple days ago, but decided it was probably overcrowded due to no parking available and 2 or 3 buses. If you plan to go, be advised Google has no idea how to get there. All you need to do is take County Road 14 (also called Main St.) from either Hwy 65 (head west) or Hwy 10 (head east). Look for the signs for Bunker Hills. Enter the park (be advised, you will need to pay a fee to enter, which is usually $5) and follow the signs to Bunker Beach. Google does not see this as a good route and will lead you straight to closed roads during construction. Now for my review. We went last year for both of my sons birthdays. We reserved a cabana for their party. It was a bit on the expensive side, but well worth it for everyone in our party. We had tubes included, as well as food. Everyone had a great time, and we will be going there in a couple days for their birthdays again. We will not be reserving a cabana this time, however, due to the increase of the prices this year. Hence the missing star. I would have gladly given 5 stars if they hadnt replaced greed with quality, as I have read in the recent reviews. I will update my review as soon as we get back from it a couple days from now.

This is an awesome water park experience that has something fun for every age to enjoy. Aside from its zero depth entry wave pool, this water park also features: 6 water slides, Lazy Loop, Rocky Bay, Adventure Pool, and sandbox area with small playground. The park also has hot and cold stocked concession and ice cream stands. My reason for the lowering the rating by one star is the highly expensive nature that one trip costs. Aside from the parking and entry fees, I always try to bring extra money for food and hourly tube rentals. If you have little ones, a limited number of toddler and youth life jackets are also available for first come, first serve rental. To spite the high cost, Bunker Beach is always very crowded. If you are driving from afar, its important to calculate time delays caused by entry and concession lines into your trip planning.Similar to last year, the upcoming 2019 season rates are as follows for regular daily guest admission:Over 48 inches: $15Under 48 inches: $12Senior Citizens (over 62): $12Under 1 years-old: FreeDaily Parking Pass: $6The upcoming Bunker Beach summer season opens on June 7th, and ends September 2, 2019

It was really fun and much larger than I expected! Lots of fun things to do! I was bummed to find out that you had to pay for parking and for admission however, that seemed to be overkill. ($15 for admission and $6 for parking is a lot for a water park). The park itself was great. Many fantastic attractions. It was very clean and the life guards were friendly. Everyone behaved respectfully too, which is rare these days. I liked that there was an abundance of chairs available (in some parks, its a challenge to find some)The wave pool was pretty intense much bigger and stronger waves than Id ever experienced, having been to lots of wave pools in my life. Was fun for a strong swimmer like me, but if your kids are not strong swimmers, Id avoid that. The only real complaint I have is the food line. I wanted to buy water (at a dollar, I thought that was a good deal) but I had to wait in line for nearly 40 minutes. The crazy thing was, there were only 5 people ahead of me. One cashier was working, but when I looked into the window, I counted at least 4 people working in back. I decided to also order a chicken wrap, and while I was waiting it was clear that they waited until someone ordered before even putting the item in to be cooked. I heard a guy tell someone it would take 30 minutes to get their corn dog. It was pretty busy in the park and so one would think they would have some popular items prepared ahead of time to make things go faster ... Next time Im bringing my own food and water!Over all I believe I will be coming back to visit again!

When you have group of 6 (2adults and 4 kids) it gets really spendy to get it, otherwise definitely recommend everyone to go there at list ones. I like how this park is build for all ages kids. Great place to bring the family. Its expensive. You have to pay a state park entry to reach the water park and then pay entry fee to get into the water park. Best plan to get there early and spend the whole day to make the cost worth it.
