This is an amazing local theatre. The talent level is very high caliber with many theatre students from CCU and local talent. A TOR production is always a delight, especially the musicals. Stage designs are creative. Housed in a cozy, charming, refurbished movie theatre. Highly recommend TOR!!

Our first time since moving from Ohio. We loved the Christmas show. Great level of talent in a high quality setting.

First visit. My wife wanted to hear the musical. Musical are not really fit me but I went. It was an outstanding production. Very well done. Definitely a 5 star theater

I was invited to see the Bodyguard this evening (Sat Aug 17) this evening show was outstanding beyond my expectations. The characters and their musical abilities were incredible . I am new to area and enjoyed the evening out with a talented cast.Great Performance !!!

We just saw Footloose at this theater today. In December we saw Elf-The Musical. We are snowbirds in the area from Massachusetts and this intimate theater is all you could want to see a play or a musical. Every seat is good. The concession prices are very reasonable. We love leaving the theater and finding the cast standing outside to greet everyone. Parking is easy. If we lived in this area we would get season tickets.

Oh go ahead and support community theater! The Bodyguard was well done, with both singing and high energy dancers. It isnt easy to replicate Whitney Houstons pipes but both the lead and supporting character (Nicki) did a great job.

Saw my first show today at TOTR-Kinky Boots-and am just blown away. What an outstanding production! Thrilled beyond measure to have a local theatre of this caliber in our backyard. Kinky Boots was phenomenal-it will be a while before I can get the story of Lola and Charlie out of my mind. Just incredible. Also a wee bit starstruck to walk outside at the end of the show and see the cast on the sidewalk. Highly, highly recommend Theatre of the Republic, and if you can catch Kinky Boots, you wont regret it. We will be back!!!

The productions put on at this place are spectacular! Everyone that works there is a volunteer! The fact that they can put on Broadway-caliber productions every single time is just a testament to how great they are! Love seeing their plays

I love Theater of the Republic. Highlighting the talents of the community, TOR performs musicals and, more recently, dramatic plays. The venue is one of the historic buildings in Conway and, because it is small, there’s not a bad seat in the theater. Last night I viewed the musical, Brooklyn. I wasn’t familiar with this musical, which is one of the reasons I like TOR. Tim brings to the audience a mix of standard, well known musicals and lesser known shows. Every show I’ve seen has been expertly performed. If you’re a fan of community theatre, you’ll be pleased with everything TOR offers.

If you want professional theater in a small town, come to Conways Theater of the Republic. Ive only been to 2 productions here in SC but both were amazing comedies. Give it a try. Pretty inexpensive nite out. A great first date nite. Beats bowling, bar, movies. Try something different you wont regret. THE BODYGUARD Opens the new season.

I saw the play The Library, directed by Jason Adams. Jason did an amazing job as the director. As a director, he thinks about every detail. Also, the actors were fantastic. They were very believeable. The play was about the aftermath of a school shooting. It was intense, entertaining, and suspenseful. I did not want to miss a single second. This is a play you will want to see. The only drawback is that it has a minimum amount of strong language. Excellent job!

A small and cozy theatre. We went to see Bring Down the House. While it was a good show with very, very talented performers, I dont feel like they advertised the more adult nature of the show very well.

Our daughter had her first “big break” outside of her public schools. TOR helped her a lot in her passion and aspirations for Théatre. Quaint small town stage with a very full and active calendar

Scrooge the musical Theater of the Republic Conway, SCAttended this show last night with my wife and a neighbor. The quality of this show was consistent with those that appear on Broadway. The costumes were spot on with the era of the show. The singing, dancing, and staging were amazing. The show followed the path of the original Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the show. This performance by unpaid performers was stellar. We will certainly return for future shows. What a great treat for Horry County residents.

Watching Hunchback of Notre Dame and it is fabulous. Best production ever seen on the Grand Strand. Wonderful actors and music. Felt as if I was at a Broadway musical. Bravo.

Just saw Bringing Down the House Variety Show. It was fantastic! The cast was exceptional. I couldnt have spent my money in any better venue.

We purchased the very back row in the balcony. Which is where I like to sit in most theaters. However, Im not sure what they were thinking? These seats are perfect for children, no leg room at all for adults. If someone needed to get up during the performance to use the restroom, the entire row had to get up and step down from their seats and stand out in the middle of the aisle to let someone out. Too many distractions. If I can make a suggestion, please list this issue on your website to warn people before they purchase back row balcony seats.

My family attended the performance Red last evening.Fair price, comfortable accommodations professional actors. NOT family friendly, took Gods name in vain multiply times. The actors were drinking and smoking thru the whole play.

This a community theatre that produces show that are professional in quality. The technical staff is creative and talented. Dancers and singers are wonderful to watch and hear and theres a variety of show types, both musicals and plays.

Just came from seeing Hunchback of Notre Dame. Words cannot express how wonderful this was. Bradley did the most amazing job as Quasimoto. The whole cast was great. Never disappointed.
