I joined the Conroe Yacht Club last fall and love it. I am getting to know more people and find everyone so far really enjoyable. Like most places, there is a core of people who show up and help but they are always up beat and happy for any help . They also like to sail. There are a lot of clubs around where people have boats but never take them out. Most of the sails on the lake are from this club, So if you want some real fellow sailors, this is a great place to be. Several other things I like. There are woman sailors here. I dont feel alone in my love for sailing. Even better, people bring food and share on weekends so it is always fun to socialize after a good sail. When it is hot or they are through sailing, they swim and fish. They encourage the Aggies from A&M to keep their boats there. They also give space for the Sea Scouts to sail out of there. That means there are always young people around from children and grandchildren to young adults which keeps the club young and vibrant. Over all I give this 2 thumbs up. If you are a sailor and enjoy people, want a true family club, come see us.
