The park has trials that wraps around with a pond. The geese are friendly for the most part. FYI Watch your step, my kids leave soccer practice full of stuff on their shoes and the odor is pretty strong. Family friendly. Majority of people are wearing their mask.

I have (or used to have) soccer practice here and it is really good. Its 4 stars and not 5 bc the ground is sometimes too mushy, and there is goose poop. Otherwise its all good.L

Too many geese that completely ruin this otherwise pretty park. You literally cannot take a step without a good chance of stepping on something that these invasive species (geese in the hundreds) have left behind. And this fact is unfortunately true for most of the park where you want either walk or sit. The staff at the park obviously is overwhelmed with the amount of dropping that they just dont do anything about it. A pretty landmine Park.

After lot of training we got a sunny day on this amazing park. My son was driving a speed control car. This place is perfect for that. Lot of space and different grounds. And my little one enjoy chasing ducks... there are lots of them.

I love taking my Granddaughter to Newhall Community Park...She enjoys playing at the children Jungle-Jim...And we also enjoy walking through the park to visit the Ducks and Gooses at the pond...

I walk here during the morning hours. The scenery is wonderful and wildlife abounds. I enjoy seeing and greeting other regulars getting our morning dose of beauty, exercise and community. Just a gem of a local park, great for family outings, well maintained. Job well done

Be careful walking your dogs or have little children....I keep seeing needles in the parking lot and sometimes no cap!!!

Newhall Community Park has a lot to offer to its visitor. A great place to do your morning jog, walking your dog, appreciate nature by hiking and having a picnic with friends. I love to go here in the morning and stay at Galindo creek to feed and watch the ducks. A recommended park for the family just to spend time and chill during the weekend.

A good place to walk with your dog

New Homeless people living in park under over grown trees on memorial hill under the Flagg pole, if you look under the trees branches you will see on the needle/trash and outside homeless tree bunk beds.When I walk by the new Christmas tree antennas I get a headache and ringing in ears, these big antennas cant be good for the environment. Plus all the posted warnings regarding wi fi antennas?Use caution when walking trails!

Kids play area is fenced in, there is a dog park, bocce ball courts, & access to multiple walking/running paths. Plus the pond which attracts some wildlife is really fun for the kids to watch.

One of the best kept secrets of Turtle Creek.

Ive brought my dog Nova here since she was a pup. Shes a purebred Siberian Husky. Never had too many issues here, other than she played and broke her toe when running around with another dog. This time I took her on June 23rd on a Sunday afternoon, and there was a rottweiler mix dog waiting to play (my assumption). The owner was excited, and as soon as Nova nudged me to open the gate the dog pounced towards and tried biting her neck. I ripped her away from the dog while the owner went ahead and started bashing his dogs head with the bucket for water. I was highly upset and cursed the man for allowing his AGGRESSIVE dog into a park ready to attack my dog! This place and many other dog parks need stricter laws and regulations on aggressive breeds because clearly the sign isnt helping. I will take this further up if nothing is done. Unbelievable!

This park is one of the best Parks in the Concord, Calif. area. It has two ponds with ducks and geese. There are some fish and fishing is aloud. There are two very large areas for soccer, football, baseball fields and any other field sports you want to play. I believe you do have to contact the parks department to have an organized sports that needs a large amount of area to be played.( soccer, football, baseball, etc.). Newhall has an excellent dog park that is separated for large dogs (30 lbs. & Over) and small dogs under 30 lbs. The dog park has grass and is well maintained. It is closed on Wednesdays for maintenance. They close the dog park when it rains and becomes to wet. The dog park will be closing for yearly maintenance March 26 until April 23 (I believe that these dates are right). Check with the park department or visit Newhall Park they have signs telling you the dates. There is a hill in the park and on top of that hill is the Vet Nam memorial with the names those who gave their all for others in the service of our country. You might not agree with those who gave their all for someone else, but please respect them for the people they were.

The dog park is great, but closed Wenedsnday. Great views of the mountain.

Beautiful except for the criminal element. Drugs & thieves roam freely & actually camp in public restrooms. Late night isnt good time to be around there.

Newhall has always been a great all around park. Its a gem for all who live in Concord because its 1 of only 2 parks where you can go and truly get away from the city.

The secret jewel is the hill in the back if you enjoy a good view or are the tai chi type this is the location to align your qi . I only walk off the trail the scenery is better, but bring good shoes.

This is a lovely, well maintained community park. I go here almost everyday for a good walk and playtime with the puppies. A favorite place for the whole family. Great picnic areas, amazing dog park w lush grass, water, waste bags and one area for smaller dogs, one for the big dogs. Great playground, beautiful trails, ponds, birds and wildlife, many places to sit and all over there is waste bins making it easy for all of us to keep it nice and clean. Also has public restrooms, water fountains and a bocce ball court. Highly recommended!

Love the dog park at Newhall. It is spacious and well-kept. My dog has an issue with the parking area. He gets very excited and has to drag me a bit farther than he would like. I would like to see the area close by opened up for parking.

Lots of space & wild life to see. Tons of different natural structures in the different parts of the park you stroll through.Every part of the park seems different than the other side of it. Lots of little flowing ponds along trail. Their also is a small new play ground near ONE of the entrances.Lot of different entrances to approach this park, its a decent size.

Great park for walking dogs, nature walk

Great park to take a walk or take the kids to play on the play structures. Dog park is closed on Wednesdays. There are ponds, but theyre kind of gross and a lot of the birds are diseased, and theres tons of big bird poop all around the water.

One of the more adult friendly parks for central county.By that I mean if youre an adult and want to go to a park and just hang out and you dont have kids, here you will have the least amount of stares AMD gawkers
