Chris and Jordan are amazing! Hands down, the best hunt of our lifetime. My wife and I had so much fun. The guys were very Proffesional and know their business very well. Chris put us on some hogs pretty quick and we laid the hammer down!! Highly recommend and will be booking again for next year!!

Just left Skyhunter Outfitters after an incredible helicopter hunt. We stayed at the lodge the night before and did a night hog hunt with the thermal scopes. The lodge was accommodating and clean. Johnny the cook made a great dinner and breakfast before we went up in the chopper the next morning. The night hunt was great and the thermal scopes we used were incredible. The next morning the pilot, Chris, took us on a 2 hour hog hunt. It was the coolest thing I have ever done, hanging out of the side of a chopper while busting hugs as they ran. Adrenaline rush like nothing else! Great company and the coolest thing you will ever do! We will definitely be going back for round 2!

I cannot express how amazing this experience was. Chris, the pilot, was excellent. The man could maneuver all over the dang place and once you located some pigs he could expertly swing around and herd them into the open so you could light them up. The rifles were perfectly zero’d and fired without issue.I could go on, but the simple fact is that if you have even slightly considered doing something as epic as SHOOTING HOGS FROM A HELICOPTER then this is the company that you need to hire.10,000 / 10 - would do again. I’ve give this company more stars if I could.

Chris is a very conscientious pilot. Dont do what I did! I shot before he gave permission and the hunt ended immediately. I got too excited and shot before we were over leased land. It was my fault so I dont hold any animosity. Just too many years waiting to clear this type hunt from my bucket list and should have waited about 20 seconds longer. I do apologize for this mistake. Chris told us before the hunt the rules and I screwed up.

Just finished my first hog hunt. What an amazing experience and also my first time in a helicopter. Our team eradicated 35 hogs and 3 coyote - you’re welcome Texas!!! And the pilot Chris was amazing - the way he flew that Bird “The thunder cloud” we named it today you can ask him about them Minnesota Boys who named it and the way he flushed out the hog was top notch thank you Chris. When my son is old enough he and I will be back. Keep up the great work Chris! Anyone thinking of doing this stop thinking and do it with sky hunter.

I just finished up my first helicopter hog hunting trip and it was by far the coolest experience of my life! I was a machine gunner in the Marine Corps and have gotten to shoot a lot of cool ranges, but the unique experience of shooting while in a helicopter tops it all. Chris was a great pilot and was able to get us plenty of opportunities to shoot some hogs. I would suggest using Skyhunters to anyone that is interested in a helicopter hog hunting trip. We got 36 hogs and 3 coyotes .

My kids and I had an amazing experience with Chris. Having never done this before he takes the safety seriously and his piloting skills are both fun and comforting. When the hogs cooperated it was stellar but even when they didn’t it was still a bucket list experience that I hope to repeat.

As a recreational helicopter pilot myself, I know how demanding and dangerous this type of flying can be. So I did my due diligence of most of the outfitters. Many of them use Robinson R-44. I fly R-44 regularly. But I dont trust R-44 with these maneuvers. I am glad that we have selected Skyhunter for many reasons, such as pilot experience and type of aircraft. Both of our pilots were excellent and safe. And we got lots of hogs!

Bucket List! Traveled all the way from Utah and it was easily one of the coolest things Ive ever done. They were very concerned about safety and making it a great hunt for all of us. Chris was a skilled pilot, and found us a ton of hogs.

This was the most amazing hunt I have ever done. Chris runs a great operation. Lodging and food (thanks Johnny!) was top notch. The bunkhouse at the 10-2-4 Ranch was terrific. Price for a full day for six of us was very reasonable. We came in from 3 different states and from Texas. Easy drive from Dallas airport. The operation spans a huge area of East Texas so we had plenty of pigs to choose from. All of us got our fill. Chris expertise went beyond piloting. His tips on shooting was invaluable. Jordan was awesome as he prepped the helo, weapons and us between flights. Loved the idea of going up twice. The three Go Pros are a plus. Cant wait to see the videos!

Not professional at all. Awkward and we had to initiate introduction to the “business owners” to shake hands, etc. Safety briefing was a joke, my husband showed me how to operate the gun before we flew. Chris did not even know how to adjust the harness on us. Not safe. We came from a different state but did not get a call until we were hours into our trip for Chris to say to us “ oh, I didn’t tell you that you can’t take meat home because the biologist have found the hogs have worms?” We get there for Chris to tell us that there was only one gun choice to use to shoot. Their website tells you different. Would have been nice to know in advance so my husband could have brought his own guns. Website mentions lunch and drinks. Definitely were not offered any. It was unfortunate because this was a gift for my husband, and I feel their unprofessionalism, lack of business etiquette and the way they ran this operation put a huge damper on things. This is a once in a life time experience, and as owners you need to realize much of how you express yourself to your customers plays a large part in their experience. Especially for this price.

SkyHunter put us up in a clean comfortable bunk house .John provided a good meal and terrific lunch bucket. Chris communicated well the safety and expectations of the helicopter hunt. Chris delivered an exhilarating helicopter hog hunt with professional maneuvers so we could successfully put down some feral problematic hogs and coyotes. Jason was a confident grounds man keeping the exchange of hunters in order and setting up the gear just right....Thanks Chris we checked a bucket list item off...but now want to come back !

Id been keen to go heli-hog hunting for a while. I picked Skyhunter Outfitters for its proximity to Dallas and all the positive reviews. Having just spent two days with them Im now delighted to write my own.I cannot recommend these guys and this experience enough. Right from the start they are a delight to deal with.Chris, the owner and pilot, is exceptional. All his 13+ years of military flying become so apparent. His knowledge of the helicopter, the land covered and the habits of the hogs are unbeatable. He and his crew are able to offer the most fun and exciting time without compromising on safety one bit.Everyone in the team I met and dealt with was brilliant.The lodge, the food, the hospitality - again all great.I also did the night hunt with night-vision scopes. If youre out there you have to do this too, its such a unique and exciting experience.I cannot recommend these guys highly enough.Have fun!

Sky-hunters with Chris and team was easily one of the top experiences of my and friends life. Being from a classic hunting community from Hungary this was an experience we have been wanting to do for a long time and finally came true. Nothing compares blasting off a couple rounds with an AR aiming at hogs while military maneuvering with a helicopter. Must experience it!

We had a wonderful hunt it was pretty windy but Chris was able to put us on several hogs and coyotes. We will definitely book again.

Had a great hunt March 8th. 15 hogs in two hours. Could have been 30 hogs if I was a better shot. Chris is an excellent pilot. The helicopter ride was as much fun as the hunt. Will be coming back.

Everything about Skyhunters is first rate! This experience is a bucket list for any hunter. These guys cover everything. They cover shot placement, safety, what to expect etc. It was a great time expert guides. Their concern shows through in making sure you have a safe, fun and successful hunt. The prices are also the best out there.

Checked that one off the ol bucket list....then immediately put it back on the list! Not only was the shooting fun but the flights were equally as exciting. Chris is an amazing, combat tested pilot. The retired evening news pilot isnt going to get you on the pigs and at the edge of your seat like that. He and his team run a first class operation. Looking forward to our next trip.

DO NOT BOOK WITH SKYHUNTER OUTFITTERS!Absolutely terrible customer service!Called to confirm a date was available with Chris then booked online Dec 13th. Aside from initial Booking Request Success email confirmation, I was never contacted or called by SkyHunter. I left multiple voicemails and my call was finally answered by Chris on Jan 24th.He stated that due to server issues the first 2 weeks of January none of those booking requests during the holidays were saved, he just assumed people didnt want those hunts. Rather than follow up with anyone or returning calls he booked dates for others as they came.Instead of providing actual customer service by honoring the booking request he verbally confirmed and that I submitted online prior to the holidays or his server issues Chris solution was to just book somewhere else. That it would probably be for the best.

What an outstanding hunt! I just went yesterday, a buddy and I shot 12 hogs on our first 2 hour flight, it was a ton of fun I cant wait to do it again one day.

If you are looking for a high-adrenaline adventure Skyhunter’s will not disappoint. Had a great time hunting both in the air with Chris (heli) and on the ground with TJ (night), both got us on the pigs and yotes which lead to positive results. Chris is a terrific pilot and constantly demonstrated safety and competency while in the air putting us on multiple sounders of pigs. TJ did a great job with fun spot and stalk action for pigs and yotes with the thermal scopes. Jordan also did a great job prepping us for the flight and getting the GoPros set up and ready for the action. The 10-2-4 Ranch Bunkhouse had great accommodations and Johnny the camp chef kept us full with great food and drink. I highly recommend Skyhunter Outfitters you won’t be disappointed and look forward to our next heli hunt.

Back in November of 2016, three of us booked a once in a lifetime helicopter hog hunt outside of Dallas, Texas for a January 2017 helicopter hunt with Chris at Skyhunter Outfitters. Rather than pay Chris at Skyhunter for our once in a lifetime adventure, Gunn & Hook Outfitter’s kept our money. Chris at Skyhunter Outfitters was very accommodating and worked with us and my credit card company to get this payment dispute resolved. Chris was not happy about the situation but he proved to be a great trooper in understanding our situation. He got us into the air to shoot some wild pigs and he was finally paid in full. We thank him for his patience.Chris and his crew at Skyhunter Outfitters provided us with a helicopter hog hunt that we will never forget. Chriss helicopter flying ability was an exciting experience, especially when he let the wind catch those helicopter blades as he circled around to get another look at those dead hogs laying in the field. At no time did we feel threatened by his flying. You have to do this helicopter hog hunt at least once in your lifetime. What a trip!This wild hog hunting can get into your blood. We also booked a night hunt with suppressors and thermal scopes. That was another experience all in itself. Its something to see an animal light up in that thermal scope. We watched four deer for hours. We were a little disappointed in this night hunt. We only shot one pig and it wasnt me that shot it. There were a lot of cows out there in the fields, there were no bait stands set out for the pigs, no shooting blinds, no shooting sticks and no chairs or stools to sit on. It was a January night, it was cold and the ground was wet and uncomfortable. Dont get me wrong, we had some great fun. We just felt it could have been a better experience and better planned out. Im sure, as Chris develops this business, he will make it a much better experience for his future night-time hog hunters. I highly recommend Chris and Skyhunter Outfitters for your once in a lifetime helicopter and night hog hunt. They are great people and I hope I can get another opportunity in the future to hunt some wild hogs with Chris and his crew.Dan Cloninger
