If you are interested in Reconstruction or the Wilson family, this home has a lot of stories to tell, enhanced with a guide who fills out detail in very educational and entertaining ways. We collect Presidential homes and are glad to have visited this one.
I didnt realize Woodrow Wilson had grown up in Columbia. The garden was simple but interesting nonetheless. A plant in backyard looked like the largest thistle I have ever seen. Didnt get to traverse the inside of home because I arrived too early but I believe it was well worth seeing. Wilson was noted for guiding U.S. through WW1 and I believe he was instrumental in the League of Nations, the forerunner to the United Nations.
So much History. Beautiful Gardens. His parents are buried down the Street.
This historic home is mostly a museum of the Reconstruction Era. The exhibits and information are very educational. The docents are knowledgeable. If you get a chance I highly recommend taking a visit to learn about a lesser known part of our history.
This place is very social to us
I learned so much! Everyone should come and visit. This is the first time Ive ever been to a museum about the reconstruction, very interesting.
Nice, Friendly Museum to learn about Woodrow Wilsons History.
Beautiful and check out the thin back staircase. Beautiful gardens
Great overview of reconstruction after the civil war and intertwining with Woodrow Wilson and his family.
