We love to skate here, and recently had a birthday party here. For the price, it was the best party weve had. The pizza is good considering its a skate rink, and hot dogs are actually really good. The party allowed us all to order pop for free even with the pitchers already on the tables (we couldnt agree on three flavors). The staff is so nice and very helpful every time we go.

Skating classes are the highlight of my week. Theyre 5 and up but grown folks are welcome too. I skated as a kid but still learned a lot in the beginner classes. The price is better than a gym membership and way more fun. Adrian and Kurt are great teachers and I really appreciate them being there so early on a Saturday. Thanks for existing!

Kids said he was great I mean theres a lot of teens working there so sometimes theyre grumpy but thats not really a big problem theres a womens and mens restroom a nice skating rink a place to put your stuff lockers a food bar and dining area, games, a bunch of cool stuff u can buy for tickets or money. Overall its a great place to bring your teens and other stuff.

I feel the price is decent for skating. The skates were pretty rugged and had a distinct smell though. Once the family was all out on the floor we had a good time. I felt the music was appropriate for all ages and the time spent on games was short and didnt take up everyones skate time. It was very crowded, making it difficult for my little ones to learn, but thats our own personal problem.Overall it was fun time and I can see us coming back again.

I love this place! But I had a bad experience with the food! My pepperoni pizza had a nasty taste we went to talk to the manager and she tray is like we were taking advantage of them and was very rude!! I ended up telling her to taste the pizza and she was just rude!!! Hopefully they change their attitude! I ended up leaving trowing my pizza away and sad about the way she treat it us!!! I’m not coming back!!!

My favorite place to spend on weekends and prices are never too high at all! Only pet-peeve is that at the Skate City on Austin Bluffs, there is no speed skating which is pretty disappointing but other than that, very fun place to be and perfect for Birthdays and just a place to hang out with friends or by myself. Perfect for my uneventful weekends! 5 Stars!

Pretty busy for a Sunday night. Friendly staff. It was family night so you got a free slice of pizza. We decided to eat halfway through the skate session and the pizza was cold. Other than that it was a fun time. Would recommend.

Just want to make a recommendation regarding sanitation due to the covid-19. I went to skate City last weekend and there was no sanitizer at the registers and no one was cleaning/sanitizing the tables. I would also recommend to spray sanitizer and wipe down the top/sides of the wall that leads onto the skating ring. A lot of people hold on to that to maintain their balance when theyre first getting onto the ring. Besides that I had a lot of fun!

Fun place to go and skate your worries away. Only problems are that the food is very expensive for how cheap it is and the only music played is trending pop music from Tiktok, which is fun sometimes, but the YMCA song is fun foreveryone.

My husband and I went to adult night and it was fun! There was a lot of friendly people and everyone got along. A lot less crowded and chaotic then when there are children. The bathrooms were beat up and gross, but so are most in kids places. My husbands skates looked great but my skates, a size four, definitely had a lot more wear and tear and probably could have been replaced. We enjoyed it and I only fell once!

Staff is inattentive and beware before you rent the child trainers as I was informed after trying to rent one for my daughter and she didnt even use it that the rent is non-refundable. As I was informed without even a sorry. I also recommend that if you plan on renting skates dont as they have all seen much better days. Also they overcharged me there was three of us not four!

Skating is great exercise. Young and old 4 days a week. Plus 4 days of Leasons and Practices per week.

This place has really gone downhill. We used to come here every weekend during the evening sessions and loved it. The music was decent and appropriate and the manager made sure people were following the rules (i.e. skating in the right direction, not blocking the entrances to the skate rink, not stopping or standing in the middle of the skating area) but now they have a bunch of kids running it and it’s a mess.We probably won’t be back any time soon unless the hire some better management and turn it around. It used to be a family friendly place but not anymore.

This place was absolutely nasty. The celings are coverd in stuff. Also the walkers were 5$ I feel and dislocated my ankle.

I hadnt been to Skate City in a long time but today when I went with family I was very disappointed. The skates I got were pretty beat up and hurt my feet and along with that the DJ had a lot of technical difficulties with the music it often cut out and he had to re-plug it back in. The menu has downgraded a lot since Id been there are no longer mozzarella sticks or fries, there are only two drink sizes large and small(about the size of the 50 cent frosty cup from Wendys) and small for slushies. And just a fair warning when you order a personal pizza its only two slices of pizza( in my case I got 1 large slice and a thin small slice if it even counts as one). The customer service is terrible today they only had one girl working the food counter and she burnt a pizza and everyone waiting for food pretty much ended up waiting 30 minutes of skate time for food before she got help. And beware of the bathrooms two of the stalls in the womens didnt lock and 2 out of the 3 stalls didnt have toilet paper. Overall if you want a good skating experience I recommend going to the Austin Bluffs location because their service and overall experience is much better. And I do believe this location no longer hosts All Night Skate.

Wow. What a terrible experience. We were waiting forever for service only to be told that we were wrong. They need to step up with front desk service and customer interaction as a whole. Paid full price for 2/3 of the time. Kids had fun though so I am giving 2 stars.

Were at a birthday party at Skate City off of Constitution and Academy. As soon as we walked in, the manager came up to us and said my 3 year old son can be on the rink in his wheelchair as long as the person pushing him is on skates. I got teary eyed, because there are a lot of things Ki cant participate in due to his lack of mobility. HANDS UP TO SKATE CITY!!!!

Who doesn’t enjoy skating, especially with small children as Skate City is always busy with kids....birthday parties and more! The food isn’t half bad although basic it’s slightly higher prices ( but cheaper than the movie theatre). They still offer a few games too that’s kids can still enjoy that take tokens and quarters and actually win tickets to be cashed in for odds and ends.

Music was inappropriate for kids, and no variety. I heard the lyrics slit my own throat--what the...?? For a crowd thats more than half under 12, in the middle of the day, you should be choosing something different, for heavens sake.

Fun for kids & adults. The staff is nice. I would give it 5 Stars if the food there wasnt so expensive. Also, all the games dont work.

I love skating and go very often. Own my skates. Truly enjoy it. I am disappointed that the only music they will play is hiphop/rap. They have no variety and when you speak to the manager he says people only skate to hiphop/rap. Literally music about taking girls home to have intimate relations. It would be great of they played more of a variety. They have the space on their system to accommodate, according to the manager.The DJ is also responsible to help kids that get hurt on the floor off the rink, instead he is too busy talking to his friends. Just truly disappointed. The DJ is more in the way sitting in the middle of the rink. You are creating a dangerous environment sitting in the rink.

Great staff, fun place, pricing a structure off though.We had a great time going there, despite the 3 stars. The staff was very friendly. My guff was a bit on the pricing, a little high.My real compliant is around their PVC skate helpers they have. The issue is they only have about 8 of them. The way the skating is set up is in 2 hours blocks (I like this) however, this proves hard if you want to rent one of these (additional $4), we arrived at 10:10 on a Saturday (they open at 10) and wanted one to skate for the 2 hours. By then they were all gone. Since people pay for them the whole 2 hours and furthermore pay for 2 hours of skating, they never turn them in. So if you want one of these they are first come first serve. They either need to A.) make them free so that people dont feel the need to hold on to them the entire time. B.) make a considerable amount more of them. They are very cheaply made Im sure. Only other small issue was the music. For mainly kids the mouse was a little too risky, although I did appreciate them using edited versions. Short of that we had a fun time, just bummed our party of 8 had no option for the helpers, it made things less fun.

The staff isn’t as great as it used to be. No more dice games or light games. We also request songs and the staff wasn’t nice about it. It’s sad to see something from my childhood go downhill.10/12/19

This is a great place you should go to because you can hang out with your friends and play all these fun games there when you dont want to skate.

My kids have a lot of fun here on Saturdays. They have a lot of events during the summer that change up the pace and vibe. My only complaint is that its not the cleanest place and there always seems to be a few arcade games that are down but thats okay.

Was such a great time, took my 8 year old to his first roller rink! Was a nice change from any flat surface we can find.We both had a great time. Clean rink, decent snack bar,friendly staff ,fun games for ticket exchange. Prices are decent, even skated extended time for only $2 more per person. Hours of fun for $20. We did bring our own skates , but rentals look decent. We will be back again next time we visit the springs!Thank you for keeping kids excited to roll. I was happy to see generations of new skaters on the floor. It reminded me of my many child hood and adolescent days spent at the rink!

My kid misses this place so much now that we moved. Had a birthday party there for her and she had lots of fun.

Not only has this place looked the same since 1999 the bathroom stalls are still beat up and broken, tolets are nasty the food there tends to be under cooked and over priced... I paid $179 for my daughters birthday party and just 15 minutes before it ended they started cleaning up and forcing us off the table. Party didnt end until 2 they even threw out my daughters card that had her ticket in it for a month of free skating. Honestly I rather pay that amount for Chuck E Cheese and get so much more along with better service! This skate City didnt even allow us the chance to gather our things before clearing and setting up for their next party not to mention they were rude about it.

Fun for the kids. The arcade isnt worth it. Skee ball is fun but the trinkets are not worth the cost to get them. Stick with the skating. The snack bar has some really good pizza, but be prepared to wait if it is busy. Prices are reasonable.

ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE EVER. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR CHILDREN! The mean old man that runs it wouldn’t let my wife bring a cake in for our child’s 13th birthday, because we didn’t book a party, we didn’t need a table, didn’t need anything. It was just for the child, I offered to pay, even pay double, and he for his own reasons said no. I offered to pay $200, or even double whatever the party fee was. He said no. Just be a MEAN OLD MAN. Because it wouldn’t have effected anyone and no on cared but HIM! So congratulations on making my daughters 13th birthday the only one she didn’t have cake with her friends.How dare you run a business catered toward children and not care enough to see how important a girls 13th birthday. Love to skate just sorry Skate City is the only place Colorado Springs. The new management is the worst its ever been have been skating at Skate City or close to 30 years. The new DJs do not even sweep the rink at all. The new female manager is rude inconsiderate.

My kids went to a lock-in Not a safe place for your kids I had to rush and save my kids at this event tonight pure chaos my kids are traumatized from gun shots stabbings fighting police everywhere i would not recommend it ambulances and police cars everywhere very scary to pull up and see. kids were smoking weed in bathrooms no police security for the kids all night. SMH save yourself the trouble keep your kids safe at home.

The adult nights are so much fun. However, dont bother requesting songs from the DJ. Hell have you write your requests on a piece of paper then laugh at you when you walk away.For adults, skate night is a flashback to being a kid. I just wanted to hear some of the jams from back in that time frame.Either way it was a great time and fun idea. Hopefully, they will do themed nights and things like that.

Love this place. My daughter and I are doing the 5 week skating course. Today was the first day. Not only are the instructors good, but we get two free hours of skating afterwards!

As far as youth roller hockey, I highly recommend starting this place. Bill and his staff are awesome with teaching/training basic level skills. Keep up the good work guys!

Really different roller rink! They have supports for kids to learn to skate with, and a floor like a hockey rink! Ive never seen a roller rink like this. Nice staff, typical skate rentals and pretty crowded on holidays, but so much fun!

I spent money on one of the drink machines, one of the arcade games, and at the snack bar. All of those things took my money, and all i got told was that they were not responsible for me losing my money. The skates are possibly the worst skates that anyone could use to skate with; they blister and hurt you even if you try out four different sizes around your range. I am fed up with all of the things that they did not and did do. I feel like not going there again. I know the people who run the place will not listen to me, or not even read to this part because that is how arrogant they are. If you re deciding over Austin Bluffs or Academy, Austin Bluffs is the clear winner.

I brought a group of 40+ college students, and it was great! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, and everyone had a great time!I will definitely be bringing more groups of students in the future!

I would never bring my kids back to this place. Its filthy. The staff was using dirty water to clean the tables and counters. The music they were playing was hip hop and rap. Talking about sex when 85% of the kids were 12 and under. Nasty place. Read the reviews people. I didnt now I regret it.

From the skate rentals, to the concessions, and especially the DJ my experience at this place was awful. All the employees had their priorities set on gossiping with one another while you get ignored in line until they are done with their conversation. Rude and very unprofessional. I just wanted to spend my birthday skating with requests to the dj of some disco music for me on my birthday. I even contacted skate city weeks in advance to figure out the best way to for me to arrange a disco skate session for my birthday. They told me to either book a birthday party with them for $75 dollars or to just go on a regular night and request songs to the dj, so I did but the dj didnt care one bit. Had to ask him SEVERAL times if he would please play my songs, we even asked the manager! The dj always gave stupid fake excuses like that he would try his best and see what he could do and that he already had a ton of requests which is bull s*** because I had put my requests in before the dj even went up for his session! Finally after asking a stupid amount of times and getting the manager involved he played ONE of my songs....Happy Birthday to me...

Doesnt even deserve 1 star. Place is for kids. Middle school kids. Floor sucks & bathrooms & tables are dirty. Will never come back or bring the kids if I had some. Definitely a no go.

I came to this skate city and I had to go back out to the car and I was at the door for 5 minutes because the manager wanted to go get a hot dog. Then she had a real bad attitude and said I knew you were there. Like that helped, so rude. No apology. I am glad the kids are had fun though 06/27/17

My favorite place to be....

I really wish I could give our experience there five stars since this was my favorite place as a child however, I was very disappointed. I paid $199 for my daughters birthday party so I expected it to be a great experience. When we got there, the party area was JAM PACKED with multiple parties which left her party feeling crammed, overwhelming and overcrowded. I didnt like the whole hostess thing because she rushed EVERYTHING and I wasnt allowed to serve my own guests. She was polite and sweet but I wouldve liked to have taken care of my daughters guests myself. It literally felt like skate for 10mins, pizza, then 10mins of skate, then ice cream, then BOOM cake then ok bye. I really wouldve just liked to be able to get our food and ice cream when the kids were ready and not have to of felt like everything needed to be so rushed. After all of the rushing, our hostess said NOTHING to the people sitting at my table (kind of rude) then just started moving our stuff and cleaning while my guests were still sitting there. No warning no nothing and some of my guests were offended and out off by that. It was like ok youre done now get out type of feel. Other then all of this, the kids had a blast skating. Ill go back for a skate night but it will definitely be the last birthday party we have there.

One of the last kid friendly places in town to throw a birthday party. Always a blast when we come here too. Always great music.

The Austin Bluffs Skate City is dirty and badly run. The manager has no control over his staff and most of employees couldnt care less (though there are a couple that work hard and are very good with the kids), They do have a CS cop working most sessions, but that is not a guarantee that they will be there. If there is a fight, the staff will not help and there have been injuries, some fairly serious. DO NOT let your children go there alone!

This a great place and I love it...great for people who have a family, a good friend or just wanna roll solo. 4star because they should be open to the public everyday 24/7 lol

Disgusting. I dont think they have ever cleaned this place. I stood the entire time because the carpet is that dirty.The staff is pretty rude as well. A few of them have an I am better than you attitude. Also the guy I assume to be the manager talked to my 12 year old son like he was an idiot when he told him the quarter machine wasnt working.I dont think we will ever go back or recommend this place to anyone simply because of how dirty it is.

Carpets are nasty and stained and same with seating near rink and bathrooms are nasty and the pizza was GROSS and soda was flat, half the games were out of order. biggest problem i had with the place is the person playing the music, i mean the place is full of kids during family night and the DJ played some nasty music.. wont be back

Either Im out of the touch with the skating rink world or... Ive never been at a skating rink that charged for specific times - 2hr periods. Come ON! They even stamp your hand with the time slot. My 1st experience here was for an 8yo B-day party. They scheduled it for Friday evening but failed to mention to my friend that obnoxious nasty middle schoolers usually fill the place. My 13yo daughter had several run-ins with bullying girls (several bigger than her) harassing our birthday girl. One of our party attendees dad/police man had to address it. A teenage employee advised us to avoid Friday nights. We returned Sunday afternoon for the military appreciation time. The times are set and heaven forbid if they let you in 15 minutes early! We waited. Theyve got a monopoly and they take advantage of it.

The Google times when theyre open and closed are not accurate, and not true. Dont go by them.Its also pretty ridiculous theyre so frugal and tight-fisted with their charges, fees, and skating times. I myself would rate it about a 3 but theres always a few inaccurate 5s to balance out and take into account.

I had to leave before the skate time ended. I dont know what the DJs name was but if I had stayed much longer I would have got in trouble. Also, he is a minor and I am not. Rude for what time he actually was watching the children. The other 90% of the time he was crowded with his teenage friends BSing. I will never go back.
