This park is a restful place. Several ponds to fish and sit by enjoying the peace and beautiful surroundings. Theres a playground by the parking lot and restrooms will be soon completed. Picnic tables and benches sprinkled throughout the park. So many different trees, shrubs, birds, ducks- a perfect home- school field trip or weekend outting. You will not be disappointed!

Very nice, clean and serene place to walk. Beautiful area. My only complaint would be signage. We walked out of these park at least there times before finding these right tails to keep us moving throughout there areas. Will definitely be back.

This place looks nice but beware of the cotton mouth snakes. We saw the one pictured swim right up to us then around us to swim into the creek. We moved spots to the other side of the 3 ponds, set up fishing again and another snake swam out of the edge of pond in between us. Did catch a nice bass with a plastic worm.

This is a pretty cool park. Lots of random little trails to dodge zombies. Great place for a quite Picknic on a weekday. Wear bug spray if you plan on staying in the woods and if your wearing a backpack bring a trash bag. There is a good amount of random litter that we picked up as we happen to have a shopping bad for our trash. Needs better parking.

Its fine if you want just a short 2 mile walk going in circles. Its a nice and peaceful place but not that big and the trail isnt 3.4 miles like it says on the website. We did 2 but only because we walked the trails twice and circled around.

Great walking paths, nothing difficult at all. I saw lots of birds, squirrels and even a couple of grass snakes. Walking by the creek is nice after a heavy rain. The paths are nice and wide, so avoiding puddles isnt much of an issue at all.

What an amazing nature center! Went there one evening after a stressful day to get in a walk somewhere new. There are both paved and dirt trails that pass by multiple ponds and a creek. The ponds looked great for fishing! There are many people that came out, but not crowed, that were either taking a stroll like myself or using it as a jogging route.I suggest you make your next day out at Colleyville Nature Center!

The Colleyville Nature Center is a great place to escape into nature! Even though the trees didnt have their leaves yet, it was so beautiful! I love that this place is so close; it is tucked away in a neighborhood so you dont hear many cars driving by. Most of the trails are not paved, but the ground is packed down quite well so it is almost as if they were still paved. There is a small pavilion and playground by the parking lot, and just inside the wooded area there is an amphitheater with stone benches. There is not, however, a bathroom so youll just have to make sure you plan accordingly.

I was originally told to go to this park for birding, but Im beginning to wonder if it was a joke. Its a tiny nature center packed with loud people and disrespectful families. Its crowded in very close to roads and residential back yards. It does have a few nice ponds though.

Very nice nature preserve. I came to fish and enjoyed hearing and seeing the variety of birds here, as well as butterflies. A couple of the ponds need attention with an overabundance of moss and algae which is from stagnant water (mosquitoes?!!). Also, seems odd not to have restrooms, especially since theres a playground? Otherwise, I would rate this 5 stars.

Its a beautiful, well maintained nature preserve. There are lots of ponds and a small river with plenty of water fowl to go with it. There is both concrete and gravel paths.I am impressed with the overt friendliness of the people on the trail from the dog walkers to the bird lovers.I would say that the thigh minute drive from Lewisville was well worth it. Ill definitely be coming back.

Wonderful little oasis of natural beauty in the middle of a well-heeled neighborhood. Great trails, some paths are concrete, lots of benches and picnic tables, well groomed and mowed. Loads of owls, other birds, butterflies and moths to view and photograph. Were very lucky that ruthless, money-grubbing developers spared this little strip of heaven.

A great escape when you need some fresh air. The park offers over 2 miles of trails for walkers, and bicyclists that meander through wooded paths, over small bridges over the creek. The trails themselves are either cement paths, or dirt trails.Theres also a number of ponds which can be fun for bird watching, and at least one of the ponds can be used for a bit of fishing. Leashed dogs are welcome on the trails as well, and theres a couple of spots providing dog waste bags.At some times during the year, the Nature Center also has some native wildflowers blooming away. One end of the park has a playground with all the favorites (slide, swings), a covered pavillion, and some other picnic tables.Keep in mind the park opens 30 minutes before sunrise, until 30 minutes after sunset. Also as this is a nature center, coyotes have been sighted here previously, so be mindful and respectful of your surroundings. Please note there are no restroom facilities here.
