The facility is always clean, including the bathrooms. I have never walked into the theater and found popcorn on the ground. Nice, respectable staff. I love coming here! The seats are nice and big as well! Always an enjoyable movie experience.

I had a wonderful experience watching Sonic hedgehog movie ,but overall My server Gary saved the day by treating us like family. He did everything for us to feel like watching a movie from home. Garys server is 629 and he should receive a special thank you from The studio movie grill in Colleyville location. I loved the superior customer service and thats why Im a loyal customer. Thanks for everything and for making us feel like at home.

This theater is older compared to others. The seats do not recline. The seats are old/torn and worn out. They are completely uncomfortable. Half of the buzzers were missing on the tables to order food so you have to ring the chair next to you. There was still popcorn left in the seat, and the cup holders are old and sticky. Yuck.They did not have shrimp, nor brisket at 3p in the afternoon on a Monday. Ive never had that happen. Ive never been in a theater that serves food but are out of food at 3p on a Monday in an empty theater. Never...The staff is kinda weird to me. Its hard to explain. They just are.The movie previews didnt even start for almost 20 minutes after the movie start time so we were in there later than expected.The food that I finally got was not good and it was not hot.The waiters have not mastered the art of whispering. They were extremely loud taking orders and bringing food.Never again. This is my second and last time going to this theater. Done.

I’ve seen many movies here! Lots of extremely comfortable seating, around 10 theatres total. You can order drinks and dinner in your seat. The dinner food tends towards heavy (chicken fingers), so I usually don’t eat here. But having a bowl of fresh popcorn and a beer at the movies is very enjoyable!

Great place to grab a bite and watch a movie. The tickets are reasonably priced. Food is pretty tasty as well. If your gonna grab a meal and watch a movie, might as well tackle 2 birds with one stone. They also serve drinks, my favorite is the not your fathers root beer float.

The theater only has the older style chairs, they dont lounge/ recline. The were a bit uncomfortable for my liking. We were the only people in the theater nice but the service was very poor. We waited over 10 minutes to place our order, got drinks but had to remind them of popcorn. Dont think Ill be back when their are other theaters to go to in the area.

It’s cheaper than other places but you get less too. There are not comfortable sofas at all. The food was so bad. It was more like frozen food which was warmed up! Service is good and staffs are nice but not a good cinema at all!

I have a new favorite movie theatre. The theatre was clean the seats were comfy. It was easy to get a waiter/waitress to come to the seat. Water was tasty. The surround sound was phenomenal!!! I had a BLAST!It was just a little bit freezing so be sure to wear a sweater.

My wife and I watched The Invisible Man and it was a good movie with clear sound as well as video projection.

The movie was great, however if youre going to pay for the movie grill experience, do not go here. We couldnt enter the theater until the actual listed movie time (even though website says get there 20 minutes before start time), and still had 30 minutes of commercials advertising the concessions in addition to normal movie trailers.Seats: The seats and cup holders looked as if they had never been cleaned. There was actual chewed gum balled up on the arm rest and cup holder. There was also just sticky stuff literally all over, our beers were sticking to the cupholders and the trays. The seats do not recline and are less comfortable than airplane seats. Tears in the seats, etc.Food: the popcorn was comically stale, like it had been sitting out for at least 8 hours.Overall a less than ideal cinematic experience.

Saw Ford v. Ferrari tonight. Great movie especially if you are into racing.Issue I had was I ordered the chicken tenders and asked that they be tossed in the Thai Chili sauce and some on the side. I was charged for the tenders to be tossed but they werent. I still tipped the server but not much. Whoever does the quality check of the food coming out didnt do their job making sure what was on the ticket is what came out of the kitchen.For now on, I will just eat something somewhere else before the movie.Edit: I talked to Hannah with Customer Relations. She has passed along the issues to be corrected. I am going to leave this review up until the next time I visit them.

Let’s start with the positives: the ticket prices were cheap.The neutral: The food and alcohol prices are about what you would expect to pay at this type of theater.Now for the negatives: the chairs do not fully recline.And the dealbreaker: the food was meh. The Studio Movie Grill claims there menu is chef inspired. They must use the same chef as the supermarket uses for the frozen dinnersI ordered their burger with bacon and cheese. The hamburger patty is frozen and slapped on a grill just long enough to melt the cheese. The bacon - I’m not entirely sure it wasn’t paper.There are better movie houses out there.

Nice, clean SMG but if youre expecting loungers in each theatre, you will be disappointed.Tonight, we decided to watch Jumanji at this location. It is located in a heavily-trafficked area with tons of shopping and dining options surrounding the venue. Although they messed up our food order, the servers were pretty awesome. We will eventually return for another visit but we certainly wont go out of our way to return anytime soon....

The food was great I had coconut shrimp and sweet potato fries delicious. I gave 4 star, we sat in the handicap area and the seats not that comfortable plus the arms of the chair are all tore up so you just think its nasty.

I went to the studio movie grill in collyville . The staff was nice and personable. The food and drinks were good . The womens bathroom could be better, but I would definitely go back .

Came here for a date night, and had a wonderful time. The staff is great and very accommodating. The theater it self was very clean and the seat very comfortable as well. My number one complaint of any theater is that they have sticky floors but I was happy when I walked in and my shoes werent sticking to floor. Overall we had a great experience and look forward to visiting again.

Great place. Pre order tickets and pick your seats before you leave your home. Theater 8 is updated and smaller. Its actually very small and you can not sit anywhere with a level view. The chairs are all short back. Broken. Wobbly arm rests. Our table was left over dirty from someone else. The cup our water was served in was chipped. The coffee ordered and brought to is was half full of coffee grounds.All in all a terrible experience.

This was my first visit to this theater. We got some good seats. We saw the new movie, the Avengers. It was very entertaining & their costumes are amazing! All the actors portraying the different Avengers did a great job! Its a good family movie also.

We went to see A Star Is Born Encore. It was in a small theater which was fine. The sound system was lacking that wow factor. The wait staff was fantastic but the food was not fabulous. Ive had better at other movie grills. The popcorn was the best part of the meal. The ticket prices were great! The overall experience was average and why I rated a 3.

Its a great place. Staff are great. Our server was very helpful. Seats are aging but still reasonably comfortable. Only complaint was there was no restroom on the second floor where our movie was so I had to go down to the first floor. Missed more of the movie than I would have liked because of that.

I was sitting the G7-11 section with my family and unbeknowst to me I was kicking the couple in front of me when I had my feet on the footrest by my feet.I apologized to the couple.They were obviously unhappy as it happened again with another couple in the same seating area..The way the seats are arranged is not ideal as you are constantly thinking about not kicking the seat in front of you.My movie experience was awful because of this but its just how the theatre is designed.

This was my first time visiting Studio Movie Grill, and I really enjoyed it. I thought the drink selection was decent, the bartenders in the lobby made you feel comfortable and very polite. The food was good, I really liked the service and convenience of getting delivered to, never leaving your seat. The only reason of not giving it a 5 would be the seats. They dont recline, and they are smaller, more executive chairs. Still comfy, just not a five star chair. I recommend you check it out, good for a date night.

The seats and table had not been cleaned well and the seat were tattered up. Just not very impressive.

We had not been to this theatre in years and isn’t up to par as other dine in theaters. The inside is nice and clean when you walk in and bar service was prompt. The biggest issue was the worn arm office chairs that are used with the shared eating table in one of the rows. I was not aware as website isn’t clear in this and was unable to exchange due to lack of availability. Very uncomfortable chair and couldn’t recline so had to slouch in chair to get comfortable. There also isn’t a restroom on second floor. The service was good and food was ok which accounted for the extra star. We will not be back.

Its been a while since Ive been here, and Ill definitely be back soon. The chairs are in groups of four. So find your letter before you start walking up to your seat. Great ticket prices, clean with good service. The movie volume was way too loud to begin with, but the manager adjusted it on request. By the end of the movie the theatre was a little too warm. Overall great experience!

The lobby is nice. Sound is decent. Food is nothing special. But the seats.. it doesnt tell you online you have to choose between a literal office chair that is the extra office chair in the corner of meeting rooms for those extra people you didnt account for but at least you can rest your feet against the back of the wall under the bar you eat on, also some squeak which isnt great for movie watching . Or you can choose a non-reclining but cushy chair with neck support for the duration of the movie.Pick your poison.

Love the dine-in aspect of this theater. Great location, always playing recent movies.Food always comes out as ordered, as well as the drinks ordered from the bar. The inexpensive tickets to all movies (or so Ive seen) is always a plus.The only down to this, the one missing star, would just be how the location is showing its age. Totally understandable with the amount of patrons they get, but when you get to your theater and see an armrest that is totally tattered, just a bit discouraging.Otherwise a great location!

LOVED IT! Been twice now. Once with the husband and once with my kiddos. With my kids it was actually my first time taking my 3 year old son and it was all-in-all a great experience. When I went with my husband, I had the Mac and cheese and it was literally the best I’ve ever had. He had the buffalo pizza or something like that and it was amazing as well!

We had some rolling office chairs that looked like they we purchased from Walmart 15 years ago. They were falling apart. Staff was friendly and service was quick.

There is nothing wrong with this Studio Movie Grill. The workers are very attentive and the food looks good.I am giving this place 3 stars because the seats are not that comfortable. I understand that the seats are designed this way for eating but I came here to watch a movie. I am also giving this place 3 stars because the sound system is incredibly loud. I could feel the vibrations of the speakers.

Place is nice. Front staff and servers were great and fiendly . However, the food was not that great. I ordered the Tempura fish and Chips. The cod was 25% to 75% batter ratio. Could not taste the fish. Mostly fried bread. LJS has better fish and chips . Place is nice/ Theater is also nice.

Great food, great movies, good seating and service, and the whole process of getting the tickets was a good time from start to finish. If there was one thing I had to criticize, it would be the seats being a bit creaky and loud at times.

I am not a big fan of this movie theater. They have rope lights under the counters so you can see your food but some of them are visible from the next row back distracting from the movie. Food is ok, but I am not a big fan of the whole food with movie thing so I normally choose another movie theater even though this one is convenient. Again the food means wait staff interrupts the movie causing a distraction. I go to the movies to be immersed. I am sure folks love this concept but it is not my thing.

Went because the lounge chairs, the theater we where in didn’t have those chairs. The light was left on initially but was corrected when noticed, loud banging near the end of the movie from an outside source kinda discomforting. Then the check comes out with no light source to see the amount yet them come around still with no light to check if we are ready....

Went to see Bohemian Rhapsody with friends. Seats are comfortable and staff are as accomodating as they are allowed to be. Therein is the problem. It would be much better in my opinion for their business if they did not have such opposition to substitutions. If you want to charge for it fine but let us order without restrictions.

One of the worst movie watching experiences I have had in my nearly 40 years of life. I am super disappointed in the horrible theater. First it started with them not accepting the movie passes we had to watch movies, then once inside after paying the restrooms smelled of urine and the wait staff was continuously walking in front of us distracting us from the movie. Not to mention that the staff did nothing to quiet the people in the theater making noise during the movie. I had to walk out of The Avengers End Game due to not being able to actually watch the movie - and that was only 10 minutes into the movie.

Poor screen and audio quality significantly detracted from the experience. Blacks weren’t dark enough, and projector may not have been properly focused. It was hard to see the whole time. Several speakers had busted heads, so voices still intelligible, but wow moments fell flat.Seats were poorly maintained and don’t recline. There’s a sitting bat within each theatre, and the seats are just office chairs.Ordered a brownie Ice cream sunday. It was a remarkably bad brownie.When we came in, 75% of the lights were off and the bartender was doing double duty to check tickets. The staff were really nice, but nothing else was.I could have had a better experience at home. This isn’t what I pay theatre prices for.

Great place to watch a movie and get decent food.

The sound system is awesome and the seats are very comfortable, but the main reason to go here was the food. We were one of 2 couples in the theater (yep, only 4 people in the entire place). I have been to 4 other similar theaters, and in each case a server checked with us before or during the coming attractions to take our order. Here, nobody ever came to see us. They cant say it was too busy, since we were half of the audience. So, while the menu looked good, we never got to actually eat or drink anything.

Some of the cheapest tickets and best seats in the area. My only issue is that the theater felt a little warm after a 3 hour movie, and that the servers get in the way whenever someone orders food, it really cant be helped though so I dont fault them too much for that, but you need to kind of hope they come during a lul in the movie and not when something exciting is happening.

We go for the sensory shows for special needs kids and adults. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Weve been here many times and its the same service each time. Weve tried the food a few times and its decent. I would compare it to a Chilis or Fridays.

Movie was great. Large popcorn was small. My main issue was that our drink took 30Minutes to get to us and we had to ask for them 4 times! Venom was an amazing movie though!!!

The staff here are wonderful. We had some problems from buying online. But the manager Nicole fixed everything. They listened and treated us with respect. Made sure we was taken care of. We tried the quesadillas and was very satisfying. We will definitely be coming back.

Originally the place was great. seating was comfortable and the food was good, price for the food was decent. then the chairs started to wear, water damage from leaking ceilings that they just were too cheap to repair. they increased the price on their food and removed several of the items we like from the combo special that was $25 (now $28). so now their servers make less money on tips from us since we no longer eat there. last few times we went the smell of mildew made us change our seats. we will no longer go there.

Seats are falling apart (material is shredding off some of them) and some are squeaky (great to listen to during a 3 hour movie). Sound is so loud you hear it in neighboring theaters. But, the tickets are cheap and the food is ok, so its not completely awful.

Seating is somewhat uncomfortable, tables quite small, but not bad for the ticket price. The food price however does NOT justify how few fries you get as a side. I received all of about 15 soggy fries to snack on for the remainder of my 2 hour movie

Bought the Groupon for the colleyville location because it said valid anytime and didnt have any restrictions on what day they could be redeemed. The ticketer told me when I went to redeem it that they can only be used mon-friday before 5pm and told me to check the fine print. Checked it. Nothing on the colleyville location fine print. Had to buy tickets again. Yet another disappointment regarding SMGs service and deals. Will not be returning.

Decent movie theater, with seat selection. No rushing to find seats all together that are not the front row. The food service and food pricing is just horrible! Charged over $4 for non-alcoholic drink! What they dont charge you for in a ticket, they make up for in drive-thru quality food.

All Ive got to say is maybe you should warn a brother that theyre going to be sitting in an office chair for the duration of a movie.Not even a nice office chair, like that office chair you had to pull out of the scary basement storage at work because over the weekend someone stole your office chair, and youre scared of what you might contract from the germs living in its peeling/cracking exterior.Not to mention that the speakers were so blown that every other minute you just hear flappy crackling noises with your extreme bass.... Ive had better experiences and comfort at ancient $4 theaters.... save your money and retain the feeling in your butt by going to a theater that would at least warn you about their shady office chairs.

This was my frost time at movie theater where they serve food. The service was great, servers came right away when you need it. Food was okay, not great. More like bar food. My biggest issue was the seating, I thought seating was very uncomfortable and I didnt enjoy movie as much because of that. Some of the seating was office chairs and table in front of them. Didnt seem like much thought was put into comfort of seating.

The staff is always pleasant and attentive. Theyre very skilled at delivering food and such without disrupting the movie for the other people. Even for the people theyre delivering to, the staff is quick and quiet and able to manage to let everyone focus on the movie. The food is really good. The quality more than matches the price.

Food and service is just OK. Prices are a little high but that’s expected for a movie theater. There’s no organization when it comes to delivering food. We’ve had so many issues ordering food here we almost never order food any more, instead we eat before at one of the many better places in the area. Alcohol is also better and cheaper elsewhere. The theaters need major updates. Chairs are ripped and torn, tables creek and squeak during movies. The screens and audio are my biggest gripe though. There are so many imperfections on the screens that I just can’t stop stairing at them during the movie. The audio equipment needs to be looked at, fixed, or replaced. Time to update and evolve the theatre now that Tinseltown down the highway in Grapevine is going to do a complete renovation overhaul.

The movie was shown and the food was served.. BUT i felt as if this place was very dirty , the ceiling in the mens restroom was falling and the floors were sticky in the theater. MY girlfriends call button on her seat was broken off and a chunk left attached to the table. The place is definitely up for some overdue maintenance. I will choose another theater in the future.

The coconut shrimp is delicious also i had the sweet potatoe fries and i was surprised how good they were. Of course my movie was great!

Had a great time with my daughter watching the greatest showman! Food was good and the 2 for $25 is a great deal. You get an appetizer to share plus 2 entrees for $25. Staff was friendly and service was very good. Definitely recommend this place!

Great night out $6 movie. Come take a seat early put in your order, ours was the 2/28 thats basically dinner for 2. 1st pick a appetizer 2nd pick 2 meals then order drinks. Sit back and enjoy your movie the way you should...as a bonus they have a little red call button s at each seat to address orders and refills.

Horrible! Seats and trays are DIRTY! Theatre needs a GREAT CLEANING! Ordered 2 kid shakes. One came out in 15 minutes, the other came out 45 minutes or more later! Kid lemonade never came out until I requested it. The movie wasnt crowded at all in my movie. Very disappointed in the Studio Movie Grill!

If there were a 3.5 I would give it. Here is what to expect. Its a sit down eat and drink while you watch a movie theater. Its been here a while and been a couple different names and owners.The good- The current company, studio movie grill, does the best job hiring and keeping staff. The tickets are cheap $6 every movie every day and time. The food is pretty good quality.The bad- the drinks are high price unless you catch a special. The seats are really old and uncomfortable.I can get past everything with good service except the seats. They could get a lot more business if they invested in new recliners.
