I like President George W.Bush!! I think he helped us fight off terrorism and make us safe! Everything you want to know about his presidency is here from A to Z. Fantastic gift shop! Very informative information about his presidency. If you visit Dallas? Take the time out to visit the library! It’s worth it and it’s reasonably priced. Good Stuff here!! GO! There is a Oval Office that is a complete replica!! Obviously I enjoyed it!

I might not be an American, but I really enjoy visiting presidential museums in the US. You can learn a lot about the life of President Bush (most of which I did not know before) and get your photo taken in a replica Oval Office. Today is the 30th anniversary of the reunification of Germany. That historic event would not have happened without the support of President Bush and his administration. Thank you. Please wear the mask. Protect the USA.

As a history buff, I enjoy all of the presidential libraries of both political parties, because they are key to understanding our history as a nation. That being said, I found this to be outstanding in depth, artifacts, history and political significance. Amazing collection of one of the most beloved Presidents. The staff was truly helpful and knowledgeable about many details. And dont miss the informal living room with actual video of George & Barbara describing life leaving the WH. You just know they were the greatest generation. Go and be amazed.

Unfortunately due to the government shut down the library was closed but the grave-site was a short pleasant walk past a pond and down a nicely wooded trail. A very nice resting spot for the 41st President and wife Barbara along with their daughter Pauline who passed away in 1953. I had been to the library 10 years ago and loved it but my intent this trip was to pay my respects to the President, a good and decent man who truly was an American Patriot.

It was a great library/museum. The 3rd Presidential Library I visited. It told the entire life history of President George H.W. Bush. Every exhibit had a full detail of the historic events in his/our lifetime, and hanging from the ceiling was the plane he flew in World War II. Scale replicas of his Oval Office, and Kennebunkport, Maine cabin office are there as well, of which I knew nothing about. Very family friendly place indeed. The place is full of surprises, and you could see miniature dog houses with a plush Millie there with it. The pond, garden, and burial grounds were an amazing site to see as well. I will enjoy my next visit there as well.

We felt this is a very good Presidential Library with absolutely beautiful grounds. The tour starts with a lot of background on the young life of George and Barbara and their parents. It goes through his military career, college, business, and then political life. We just so happened to be there a few days after Mrs. Bushs funeral. The lake, rose garden, and family burial plot is quite beautiful. If this review was helpful to you, please give it a like.

Touring the Bush museum was a great experience. The man led a large life so there’s a ton of exhibits to view. Things are laid out chronologically so it’s relatively easy to follow although there are transitions that can be difficult to figure out the best starting point. In any event, it’s a real treat to learn more about a man who was 100% committed to public service and making lives better.

This is a wonderful place to experience a sea change in history. He was the last presidential tie to the greatest generation and a combat veteran. Cant say our current slate of politicians have the same intestinal fortitude that President Bush demonstrated throughout his life. What an amazing museum and what an amazing man who actually became our president. The museum is overwhelming in the things president Bush accomplished in and away from the White House. I enjoyed two trips through the museum to make sure I saw everything. An added surprise was everything Mrs Bush did. They were an outstanding couple and we were lucky to have them. Sitting and watching them joke around was a highlight. What a great sense of humor. The military career that they both had to endure was amazing. And then there are the years before he joined Reagan. Again, great museum and well worth the trip. And at $9, a true bargain!

This museum is such an amazing experience to take in and I highly recommend for anyone to go. There is so much history there about 41 but also about Ms. Barbara Bush that they experienced in their lives of service. A MUST SEE!!!The history of George H.W. Bush, his family, Naval career and political career that are displayed here are absolutely amazing. Upon entry there is a beautiful memorial to the late Barbara Bush as well as a movie about her live. You can also sign a condolence book for the family. There is so much to learn that is not written in the history books. The docent gave a very informative lecture on the replica of the Oval Office which is just as it was when George Bush was President. There is an original Quill and ink well used to sign the Constitution of the United States on display as well as a personal collection of President Bushs books on George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt. There is also the a ship that was a gift from Mikhail Gorbachev on display. The exhibit of Camp David, the Berlin wall and to sit in a replica of the Situation Room and receive an update on the Gulf War was also truly fascinating. The Barbara Bush Rose Garden was in full bloom. The assortment of flowers and colors was truly spectacular. Visiting the Bush family grave and paying respects to Barbara Bush and their daughter Robin (who died at age 3 from Leukemia) was very emotional. Barbara Bush was the pinnacle of elegance and class, a true First Lady in every sense of the word.

The George H. W. Bush Museum and Library does a very good job of illustrating the life and times of this man, our 41st president, and his wife, Barbara Pierce Bush. The layout of the museum takes you through George’s and Barbara’s childhoods, George’s military service, George and Barbara’s wedding, their move to Texas and his work in the petroleum industry, elective office, public service, election as president and Barbara’s contributions as First Lady. I learned a number of things about George and Barbara Bush that hadn’t know before. After touring the museum, we took a walk past the pond to the burial site of the president, Mrs. Bush and daughter Robin who passed away at age 3 of leukemia. Regardless of your political leaning, the Library is a wonderful collection and presentation of what was happening during the two terms of President Bush. It is not an ego piece or self tribute. The section of the Library devoted to the memory of 9-11 is deeply moving. The Decision Room is fascinating. The audience selects one of multiple crises which faced President Bush during his time in the White House. Our room chose Hurricane Katrina. You have a limited time to reach your decision and have various resources you can confer with to form a decision. At the end of the time, you vote on the action you would take, and then compare your decision to those in the room, and the decision President Bush made. It helps you appreciate the difficulty facing anyone in the White House to make a decision that will have significant consequences no matter what. Well worth seeing. Parking is easy. There is a lovely restaurant there and gift shop. You can comfortably see the Museum and the various displays, videos, etc. In 3-4 hours.
