I have been able to experience several of the Star Cinema theaters and this one is my all time favorite places. The screens, sound,, and fild quality makes up for any lack in size.. The theater is exceptionally clean, has great service, and a super friendly staff that worked to meet all our needs. We rented a theater for a birthday party and the party room. All of our family and friends had a wonderful time! The food was delicious and we were able to pick a film that was enjoyed by all. I highly recommend this location and kudos to the staff for the VIP treatment.

Finally...a REAL date night! Im not a movie/ go to the cinema kinda girl - but this Cinema is so clean & so stylish... just love the ambience!

The server at the bar while I was there was very nice, but this company needs to seriously reconsider their refund policy. I picked the wrong date of a movie and had to go in person to get a refund instead of being able to cancel it online or over the phone. They also did not refund the service fees so I paid a couple of dollars to be severely inconvenienced

I love going here with my boyfriend! They have a great atmosphere for a low price with student discounts. Sometimes I go there just for the food!

I like the fact that I can eat while I watch a movie. However, I feel as if the quality of the food does not match the price of the food. The alcohol is also served in plastic cups, which I can understand because that reduces the likely hood of the cups breaking if dropped while walking through a dimly lit theater. But when Im paying $8+ for a drink I would rather not feel like Im at a college bar. Even Chilis has glass cups for their alcohol. The tables inside the theaters are oddly far away from the seats, causing you to sit on the edge of your seat in order to eat. The tables dont have a lot of room either, so if you are there with someone and both trying to share a single table, there is not enough room for you to set dirty dishes aside.

It is so fancy!!! The seats are really comfortable. The serves was great! We ordered the loaded fries and water, came out pretty quick, and super delicious. It is pricey, only for special occasions. The only down side I’d say was the tray. It feels very far away and it doesn’t move forward. Had we actually gotten a meal, I left it would’ve been harder to eat. Otherwise it was good! Fun experience!

Very nice place and elegant. However, Im NOT thrilled about the service. There was literally one other couple in the theater with us and it took forever to be waited on.. plus the waiter never brought the condiments that we asked for. He seemed too in a hurry to close out our ticket than to be sure we had everything. I would have given 5 stars if better service. After seeing other comments, management should be sure that the waiters are well trained because without good service it loses the whole concept of “dinner and a movie.

Hands down the best movie experience in BCS. The food and drinks are not amazing or the best for the area, but the fact that they are served to you during the movie makes it great.Go check out the rest of century square for music and bars after the movie.My favorite thing is on Wednesday and some Saturdays when they have movies for those with sensory concerns. The lights are up, the sound is less, and the atmosphere is better for those who enjoy less noise. All ages are welcome.

Loved the whole dinner and a movie concept! The bar has great drinks (a tad pricey but VERY tasty)! The food was great for movie food.Will definitely be back again!!

This was a different experience for me. We went for the preview of Deadpool 2. We felt so welcomed. We ordered couple of appetizers, burgers and pizza. Our waitress was a sweetheart. Food was decent. Amazing service. Super clean restrooms. All the waiters and waitresses knelt down while serving so that they won’t interrupt the movie experience. I was taken aback by this gesture. There was enough room between the rows to walk around. Overall it was a great experience.

This is a great movie theater and us a special time for sensory kids too.

Went for a movie with my girl. Overall experience was nice. The screen, seats, and the cinema is posh. The food was costly though and not very tasty. I would probably not come back as the ticket prices were costlier than normal too. 3 stars from me

Only got a gift card for Christmas but the front desk girl was helpful and the place looked amazing. Literally just push a button on the table and someone is there shortly to get refills or any thing you need. I wont go to another theater in bcs again.Pro tip: Park on the third floor of the garage and you can walk right in and dont have to go down and through the front entrance. Also, remember to get your parking validated on leaving to save you $7 or go on Sundays when the garage is free

I enjoy visiting theaters like this, less of the younger crowd and the craziness that can sometimes come with that. I used to love the de lux theaters back on the east coast. The lobby area is very nice and chic. The staff is very friendly and pleasant. They offer over sized seating which is very comfortable. I do wish the tray table would move towards the seat versus you having to sit up in the recliner to eat. The menu is decent (this could be me being picky based off previous experiences at other theaters) and reasonably priced. Every time I’ve been to this cinema, the bathrooms have been very cleaned. That’s not something I say often about public places. Overall, I enjoy my experience when I go there. Definitely recommend...Not bad

It is my favorite movie spot to go to. They serve you food while you are in the movie and their service is excellent. I just found out that tickets are half price on Tuesdays. The food and drinks are a bit pricey, but they are similar to the other bar/restaurants in the area.

Classic feel, excellent food. Spear fried pickles, and cheese burger hit the spot. Plenty of brews on tap and good service.

Only theater we go to. Prices are a little high but it is worth it. It would be better if the tables moved, the way the are makes it a little awkward to eat. Overall its a great time every time. The staff is nice and super helpful. Its also really nice that the bathrooms are really clean.

Beautiful decor, clean bathrooms, very comfy reclining armchairs, very friendly and professional staff. The menu has lots of choices and the service during the movie was great (just press the button in your table to order). 4 stars instead of 5 because the food and drinks weren’t that great—hoping this will improve over time. I could also imagine that it’s hard for people with different body types to sit in the chairs because the attached tables can’t be moved.

I have visited this theater plenty of times and was not impressed at all. The theater itself is gorgeous, but do not let the beauty of the facility fool you. The main reason anybody goes to Star Cinema Grill is to watch a movie and to be served good quality food on TIME! It seemed like forever until my food was brought to me, and when it was the food was cold! I was furious because the place is already extremely overpriced and now I’m paying for cold overpriced food? The point of this review is to ensure people that Star Cinema Grill is not all that, in fact I would prefer Cinemark.

This is my favorite movie theater to go to when I am in town. I have been there 6 times now and have had great experiences every time. The recliner seats are comfortable, service is great, and the food is absolutely amazing. A little pricey but it is totally worth it.

We went to see Incredibles 2 and it couldn’t have gone better. The parking in the garage is convenient, the kiosk to pickup our tickets wasn’t working at the time and the box office person was more than helpful. The entrance/lobby/bar area was stunning. The waitstaff was efficient and courteous with helping us order food since it was our first time there. It took around 15 mins for it to come out and everything was hot and delicious. We ordered candy about halfway through the movie and it arrived surprisingly fast. The actual theater was spacious and the reclining seats were super comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and everything went perfectly. We will definitely come here again.

Very disappointed!! What is the point in having children movies if only 3 and up is allowed. Then 3 year olds are only allowed on 2 days of the week and thats mornings. If youre going to have kid movies all kids should be allowed as long as accompanied by an adult

Good place to watch a movie. Clean and nicely set up. The prices are a little high but you are paying for a more luxury movie experience. Food is a little above Chilis quality and if you order a beer it comes in a smaller plastic pint glass than you expect for full price. Nice that they cover the cost of the parking garage for coming in.

This place wants to be a higher end movie theater where you can get dinner and a show, but it falls flat of it. The show part is fine - the picture is as good as any theater nowadays. The dinner part leaves less to be desired. Ive tried this theater twice, thinking that the first night I was there was just an off night, but after receiving much of the same service it appears to be a problem. The first time I ordered popcorn about 10 minutes before the previews started, and the actual popcorn didnt show up until almost 40 minutes into the movie. Youd think a movie theater would always have popcorn ready, and that getting popcorn would be a quick food item. The second time I went, remembering the popcorn debacle of the first time, I figured I would order off the actual menu. I ordered Nachos Libre, which took about 30 minutes to get to me from the time I ordered and when they arrived they were cold. The queso dip was starting to solidify and sticking the chips together. Plus, their signature queso tasted like someone mixed a can of Rotel into a melted block of Velveeta. For the price, I expect my food to come to me warm and be of higher quality. I can make better nachos at home! Overall, if youre looking to see a movie and youre in the Bryan-College Station area, just save your money and go to the Cinemark because your experience there wont be much different than my experiences at Star Cinema Grill.

We have always enjoyed coming here but the service today was very poor. We ordered food and popcorn. $70 worth and had to ask twice for our food and never received our popcorn. Not sure if something has changed in management or what

This was our first time at any Star Cinema Grill, so we didnt really know what to expect. Parking was simple and convenient since the parking garage is attached directly behind Star Cinema Grill. The ride up the escalator gives you a feeling of entering a new and exciting world. The check-in was painless and they even validated our ticket for the parking garage. What really sets this place apart is the service. Our first experience with this was with Hollie at the bar. She greeted all of us the second we walked in with a great smile and pleasant demeanor. She was attentive and helped my wife and I with our drink selections. She made our kids feel special by throwing in a couple of extra cherries in their Shirley Temples and letting them pick their favorite color straws. She even went out of her way to check on us throughout the evening since we had arrived an hour early for our movie. Her exemplary level of service left us with an excellent first impression. Our server in the theater was there within seconds when we needed her and made sure that we were set before the movie started. The movie experience was next level with excellent picture and amazing surround sound. We had so much fun we went back two days in a row. Without a doubt this is the best movie experience any of us have ever had. We are already planning our next movie there.

A cinema that looks upscale from the outside, but with an affordable price tag! The seat is very spacious and comfortable (with leg support), and you can recline it with a touch of buttons on the side. The whole premise is clean and nice. Didnt try the food service, but you get a personal table by your seat with menus located under the table. Bought their Tuesday special and it was only $5 per person!! Definitely going to visit again.

Been here many many times and love it! The seats are super comfy, the food and drinks are great, and the atmosphere is awesome! Whats even more special is that if its raining your parking in the parking garage and walking straight into the theater! But there is one thing that is missing and that is a super screen!!! Like an IMAX, or XD. I do need those when its the really big blockbusters! (Avengers) Me and my wife are big movie people so dont worry we will be there!

Horrible experience, completely unsatisfying. The movies will close 10 minutes after the last showtime. My movie was at 11:30, I arrived at 11:45. I was told I couldn’t enter because I was 15 minutes late. The movie was still in the preview stages. I’m from Bryan. I will never come to this location again. I consider myself a frequent customer. The theater is located on the second floor. As you enter through the main glass doors, a huge, colorful portrait of Marylin Monroe welcomes the guests. The lighting is an superb combination of wall fixtures and hanging decorative bulbs, allowing a cozy atmosphere as you ascend. The second floor has many more portraits of Hollywood stars tastefully arranged throughout the halls and main reception area. The first person to meet you will be the ticket sales staff member. She was very friendly and helpful in providing information about the parking and other issues.With an extensive menu, youll have mo trouble satisfying all members of your entourage. There is a great selection of wines and beer.When youre ready to order, just press the button and an attendant will show up withing a few minutes. There is so much leg room, tou can stretch as far as you can without disturbing the flow of patrons.The attatendant will bring you the ticket and you can pay without leaving your seat. By the way, the seats are comfortable. You can press a the button on the right side and voila! Living room.The meals are tasty. I ordered Enter the Dragon. Yes, most names of dishes are taken from popular movies.Thank you, staff of Star Cinema Grill! No complaints.

Awesome place! Went to watch a horror movie and ate food. Everyone was smiley and happy and greeted us so nicely. The theater was nice and spacious for servers to walk through without bumping anyone, though I wish the tables were movable. Later on, I had a billing discrepancy and employees addressed it to a supervisor I believe. The supervisor was so nice, and very apologetic. They took care of it right away. Since this place is new they did really well training the employees. Ill definitely be back!

I had THE BEST BURGER EVER from here! Mushroom Burger. - UHmazing! My son had the kids mini slingers. He could only eat one, but we were both super pleased and super full!

Been to this theater several times and always check for movie times before the other theaters in town. Times have always been good, so I’ve continued to come back. Parking and parking validation is painless and easy, y’all even validated my wife’s parking when she had to meet there for a show.

Located in Century Square, one of College Stations newest and best places to enjoy food and entertainment, Star Cinema Grill was one my favorite movie experiences. The reclining seats were spacious and comfy, with plenty of room on the personal tables for your dishes. Each personal table has a button that you could use to request service at any time, with the waiters responding in no more than few minutes. The waiters were also very considerate, talking quietly and ducking when necessary in order to avoid blocking the screen. I had a draft beer that I ordered while sitting at the bar in the main lobby prior to the movie. I also ordered spinach and artichoke dip during the movie, and although there werent enough chips, I enjoyed both very much. Whats more--the prices were great.

We loved the atmosphere. Perfect for our lunch date and also a Friday or Saturday night. Low lighting and modern decor created a romantic, relaxed atmosphere. The restroom was clean and very pretty. The theater had WHITE SEATS. They were comfortable and reclined.The food was SUPERB. We ordered some drinks, burgers and fries. They had huge cups of free, cold filtered water. Let me just say...the FRIES..OMG!!! They were among the best fries weve ever had!!! They were crispy, seasoned and you get a whole bowl. I had to force myself not to scarf them right down and make them last for the movie. The burger was delicious, bacon was crispy and the bun was buttered to perfection. Truly restuarant quality food. We may go back just for those fries.-The service was prompt and friendly. He even came to check with us before the movie was over to see if we needed anything else. We know they may not get many, so made sure to tip well. Thank you Kenny, we enjoyed ourselves.

Absolutely wonderful experience!! I feel so sorry for those that only left 1 or 2 stars, because our visit was top notch!! We were in town for Christmas, so this was our first trip to this theater. The popcorn and drinks were pricey, smaller than normal and no free refills, but after seeing the wonderful seats, all of the extra room and the incredibly friendly staff, we understood where the money was going. Luxury isnt cheap! If I wanted a budget movie, I would go to a budget theater or not order food/popcorn here. I feel it was a 5 star facility and experience and I have a hard time returning to a regular movie theater in my home town. Keep up the good work!

I ended up taking my mom for Mother’s Day and we were super excited to try this place out and were glad a movie theater with a concept like this made its way to College Station. The decor was beautiful, the staff that greeted us was friendly, and the seats were very comfortable. However after we ordered one of the waitresses literally spilled two entire drinks on me and was trying to hold back her laughter, she looked at another waitress down the aisle who saw what happened and she was actually laughing. If I hadn’t have brought my mother and not wanted to ruin the night for her I would’ve 100% left. Instead I went to the bathroom, poured the ice out of my boots, and sat through the rest of the movie with soaking wet pants, socks, boots (I could literally feel them squishing when I walked) and they even got some on my shirt. They offered me one free movie pass, but I’m sorry that doesn’t make up for that experience. I suggest going when the staff is better trained.*update to one star 5/29 for poor customer service. I emailed as requested and received one response on 5/16 asking which theater it was. I responded the same day, and never received any response after that.

Theater was very clean and fancy, food was delicious (a little bit expensive, but still worth it), and the staff were professional and service was good.My only complaint was that I had been planning on seeing the 9:55 showing of Shazam with my wife for about a week for our anniversary. I go to purchase tickets Friday Morning but the showing had been canceled. I got to see it at 6:30 instead, but that completely changed our day and we had to ask our babysitter to come early (luckily she did). My point is that the website should have taken the 9:55 showing off as soon as they found out it was canceled. That would have made things much easier on us. Other than that, we had a great time, and hopefully they can do better about stuff like that in the future...

Probably one of the best theaters I have been to. They even played the Aggie game on GameDay. Love the ambience and the seats are much better than any other theater in town. They even serve food to your seat while not interrupting your viewing pleasure. Costs of food is typical - tasty but not the most economical but hey, how much more lazier can they make you!

The staff are wonderful, welcoming and so helpful. The theatres are comfortable with large recliners and plenty of space between you and your neighbors. The actual movie quality is amazing. For some reason the volume during the previews is really loud but during the movie it seems to be at a normal volume.Visiting star cinema defiantly add an extra flair to the movie going experience that the other theatres lack. They make it a special event without gouging you with ticket prices. Parking is also really easy if you use the garage—- they validate your ticket!Also, their website’s design leaves much to be desired... I’m sure they must be working on an improved interface.

My husband and I had an amazing experience. We went to go watch Deadpool 2, we had tickets for 10:15 but accidentally sat in the movie theater for the 10:30 time. Thankfully some one made us aware of our mistake and since we had already missed the beginning of the 10:15 they accommodated us in the 10:30 movie theater. Everyone was polite and our food order was perfect. I cant wait to go again.

This place is evidence that College Station is moving up in the world. Century Square is a great location, the picture/screen were crystal clear, seats were comfortable, and the building itself is gorgeous. The food was right on point, and our server (Shania, I believe?) ensured it arrived before the movie even started. Definitely will be back.

Yes it is a lo little expensive, but it is definitely worth it.Last time I went 02/25/2020I had a bad experience, we got in, after 15ish 20 minutes the guy eventually comes in and takes our drink and food order, no one ver comes back to even check on us, about 30 min pass and we get our pizza, maybe 15 minutes later when we were done eating the guy eventually comes back to check on us, and we have to ask for our drinks because we never received them, then before the movie were to be over, I wanted a shake, he brought us our check without us asking for it, and he left before I could say anything. Im very disappointed

We’re 16 and weren’t allowed into The Secret Life of Pets 2. Our whole group was dying to see the movie, but were denied entry. The staff was not very kind about it either.

I have been to this theater twice. You pay for what you get. I have had no problems parking. Most of the other reviews have complaint about parking. I dont see how.....Tickets were more expensive than other theaters in the area but about the same as the theaters I went to in Houston. No complaint there...Food was delicious Ive had the Honey I shrunk the burgers and on the second movie I had the Nashville Chicken. I recommend both.The only thing I could say I would change about my experience is I wish the trays would move so I wouldnt have to sit on the edge of my seat to eat.Other than that this theater is money well spent. Good for dates or small birthday groups. I enjoy knowing my movie will not be ruined by a child screaming behind me.

I would not recommend this movie theater at all. They commit fraud by not honoring coupons they sent out, and dont care to take care of their customers. Showed the server the coupon before I ordered, but they would not honor it when it came time to pay. Managers dont care to take care of the problem, and told us to lower our voice even though we were not being loud. I will not return to this theater due to the lack of service and their inability to honor coupons.

This Cinema Grill looks very nice and fancy, but it does not have it’s own parking lot, they let their customers wander around in search for the parking that they have to pay. I paid $7 for the parking, before I even got to the theater. I think that’s ridiculous. I was going to Cinematk for more then a decade and always had a place to park for free. I think that’s because they run their business properly and they have their own parking lot.

My day was ruined by the totally unprofessional and completely rude manager and employees of this Cinema Grill! The girl at the ticket booth sold me tickets that we already sold to other people. The manager was yelling at us and the ticket booth girl was talking bad and complaining about us. We wanted a refund and the manager kept making mistakes on the refund process and was not apologizing. They are irresponsible and rude.

We were invited here for a pre-grand opening showing. Food was decent, but after having 3 glasses of wine between 2 of us over a 3 hour span, an employee was sent to our seat during the middle of the movie to “make sure we were okay” and were informed we would not be served another glass.Will not return.

Awesome place to go see a movie! Ive been here with my friends multiple times already and will be going back every time to see a movie. No other theater can beat the great Prices, Food, Seats and the 4K screen! Staff is very friendly as well.

Best movie theater ever! We’ve been to plenty of movie theaters even a star cinema in another town but this was a way better expirernce . At the other star you have to pay extra for the fancy reclining chairs.. not here. Food and customer service was great was asked a couple times waiting in the lobby if I was helped. They also had very clean restrooms which I always appreciate. We made the mistake of parking in the front and having to pay for parking when you can park in the parking garage(validated parking) but oh well we are out of towners so now we know for next time! If I could give more than 5 starts I would!

We also went for the early opening event. The experience was great, our server was professional, kind, and prompt. He made relevant recommendation in response to our questions about the menu, was knowledgeable about the menu items, and was able to warn us of potential allergens. The only complaint is the table configuration (table doesnt move any), as a larger person it was difficult to get seated however once seated it was ok. We went for dinner and movie, not to get stupid drunk, so the alcohol limits were not an issue (unlike a previous reviewer). We would recommend this place for a date night for two, not necessarily a family restaurant experience. Overall it was great.

The environment is perfect, free parking, respectful staffs, etc. Yet, I still do not know why anyone would come up with an idea to serve meals in the cinema rooms. (1) The servers kept blocking the view, (2) the constant moving around was also distracting (3) serving in the dark isnt safe for the employees. In fact a lady almost fell - who serves meals in a dark room!!! The mixed aroma from the meals was almost nauseating. Cinema grill is everything you could desire from a cinema except for the above listed shortcomings.

This was the worst experience at a movie theater I have ever had.I know you are saying you have free parking in the garage with validation but when I went up to the outdoor kiosk (not knowing about free parking) there was a sticker on it that stated they would validate parking.When I asked about it at the counter, the person had a very poor attitude and said I was just out of luck.This is place was obviously designed and build for the student population and not anyone else. The prominent bar and lounge area that greets you is NOT an environment for kids.I ran a theater several years ago and fully understand that you make your profit from the concessions. But the primary items at most theaters is popcorn and soda.The (Large) small popcorn and sodas where ridiculous. I purchased 2 Large and 1 small soda & a large popcorn. Total cost $18.I could have overlooked the price and size if they came with free refills. In this case, the popcorn lasted for the first 5 minutes of the show.I will not be back to this theater. I will support the other 2 theaters in town that are geared to the family experience.

Definitely one of the best theaters I have been to. The fried shrimp is the best! The staff was very professional and fast which i really loved.

Nice place but the server we got sucked. Super tall, wouldn’t duck when he came around and both times he came were during really suspenseful/exciting parts. The second time he came with a super bright flashlight! SERIOUSLY! They watch the movie multiple times they know when the different scenes are , he could’ve waited 5 more mins for a slower scene. Also the popcorn was stale and cold.

Alamo Drafthouse and Studio Movie Grill need to take notice of the portion sizes here. We had great time
