Great spot for young and beginner hunters. It does get packed in but this very small acreage produces deer. Its common to see huge tracks and nice buck sign but dont count on seeing anything with more than 6 points until after dark. Everyone that goes there is nice and tries to stay out of your way. Remember its very small. 5 stars for young and beginner hunters, 1 star for big bucks. Also good for pheasant and squirrels. Set up for hunting. Too think for trailers and dog walkers. If you dont have a boat its a nice place to fish the shore and drop off but you have take a long walk to reach it, but sometimes its worth it.

Just absolutely Beautiful. Great places to eat in surrounding areas. Clays restaurant had a Buffet or you can order whatever youd like. Stoagies has great food. Built within an old house in Coldwater historical district. Waitresses could have been better. Coldwater lake is a place to be. Lovely view.

Natural and undeveloped aside from farm land. Magnificent for hiking, hunting, fishing, and foraging. A gem in southern Michigan.

Our friends have a place here. We enjoy our visits. Very relaxing environment and visiting the sandbar is so much fun! Fun for kids and adults!

This is undeveloped property and should really be called a state game area. There are no published trails and I am wildly guessing, its mostly used as a local fishing and hunting area. Theres farmland between the lake and the entrance and no visible trails. There are absolutely no signs announcing the park on the roadways (I guess thats good so more visitors wont be disappointed). Theres a tiny parking area and just a DNR sign. Theres no lake access via trail. You would have to follow hunting trails and wear Orange if you do. Visitors beware if you are not a hunter, most reviews here are about the lake accessed via other means and not of the park.

Understand that there isnt much to this place, but if you are looking for a big piece of land to go enjoy the outdoors you could certainly do a lot worse.

We stopped at the I-69 welcome center near the state line and I asked where this state park is and if there was camping. The lady at the information desk said the state own the ground but has not developed it and there are no plans in the near future to do so. No beach access, no camping, no trails, no nothing. It is a state park in name only.
