I give this place a 3.5 ARCADE ONLYPros: Staff is very friendly. Clean inside, i would have liked to see more hand sanitizer stations, Lots of up dated game that seem to be set to skill not pay out. They have a half price day.Cons: Coin pusher is not half price, a lot of games not working or just taking your money and not playing. Coin pusher is set VERY tight. Played today 12/1/2020 for 30 minutes and never got a card drop.If they could fix a few of these issues it would be a 4-4.5 place

Shared my grandsons 13th party here. Service was great and helpful. Food was fresh, party room awesome! Laser tag, video games and of course the bowling! Anazing!

Great place, was very fun and they were all very polite. They even gave lots of free money for the arcade and a free game of bowling. However without the free money for the arcade it would have been very expensive to play the games. Something I have seen at similar places was they offered on certain days a set price for a card with unlimited plays for so many hours. Would be great if you had that option as playing the arcade games with my kids would cost hundreds of dollars otherwise.

I love this place. Good for kids and adults. One of the best arcades in Vermont. They have great promotions, workers there super friendly and felt safe for Covid.

This place is awesome - partly because it seems like it’s likely been left unchanged from as long ago as the early 1990s. The bowling is fun and the laser tag is even better. I appreciate them having a free late-night bowling event, so I could see first hand how they refuse to prioritize social distancing. Shortly after showing up, my friends and I were set up on a lane, and half way through our first round, another group was set up on the adjoining lane. The solution to keeping us apart? Spare time asked them to sit up on the bar-style seating along the aisle, rather than at the table next to us. They then asked us to enforce taking turns where only one groups player would go up to bowl at a time. This, in short, was a garbage solution. They still had to walk right past us (without masks on) to play. Neither our party nor the other was happy with this arrangement. Its clear that they just didnt want to turn down the revenue, and we got the short stick. Thanks for showing me that social distancing comes second to profits.

Went to Sparetime with the family and was greeted by two lovely ladies Blonda and Mel I believe. They were super nice, super knowledge, and they were on were top of their COVID cleaning. They made our experience awesome and I’m definitely coming back very soon!

Well operated. Very clean. Went Sunday when they charge per hour. Bowled 3 games each for 2 of us. Im interested in league bowling, just moved to Essex Junction.Ive started with a Monday 1245pm league called the Essex Seniors. There are still spots open. Everyone wearing masks. Come join us.

Would have given 5 stars but the cc machine wasnt working when we went and the staff acted really sketchy about it and made it seem like it was me even though I saw it happen to 2 other people and after a few tries it worked. Other than that this placenis great.

The vest for laser tag we had to change a couple of them multiple times they were not charged and they were not working they put a damper on because we did the birthday package and you know three people lost a lot of points they could enjoy themselves because they had to keep changing their vest other than that it was wonderful

Went to sparetime this evening and was kindly greeted by staff members, Jess and Crystal, who went above and beyond to make my evening great. After coming here for 3 years the staff continues to impress.

Sanitation during COVID seemed to be a priority. We were placed at least 5 lanes away from everyone else, and all balls were sanitized in between uses.Staff was friendly and the discount rates past 8 pm are great! Especially for a family!

Good atmosphere. Its bowling, pretty straightforward. Nothing to complain about.

Went there on a college trip! It was tons of fun! Really enjoyed the glowing lights they turned on once it got dark too! Pizza was pretty good (for a bowling alley), and all the people who worked there were super helpful and kind! All and all really great place!

Best bowling and arcade around! Large alley with plenty of lanes and room so you never feel cramped in. Facilities are clean and there is a place for adult beverages. Food is available as well. Had a great time and definitely plan on getting back here!

Granddaughter had her B-Day party here. Places are limited for birthday parties for kids. This was great as the kids said. Bowling, laser tag were included for an additional cost. Grace our attendant was amazing and knew before we did what we were going to need.

First time visiting this place and had a blast. The pins reset super fast and the ball return is very quick. Staff is friendly and keeps the place clean, wiping down surfaces, etc. We will definitely he back

A complete family fun experience. Food was a little overpriced in the restaurant, but its a destination so I get it. The service was awesome both in the restaurant and the arcade. My five year olds birthday party was a complete success and we will be back

Had fun bowling but your employees are rude, here for the spare time after dark sat 12/28- sun 12/29. They refused to serve slices and we were told they arent serving them tonight with out an explanation. You should choose better of who you hire. Your employees actions reflect on the bussiness. Prices are overly expensive. If your gonna charge so much your employees should be nicer.

The second best arcade in my opinion. I absolutely love it here. Food is amazing, arcade is incredibly fun, and the bowling alley itself is wonderful. The aesthetic, mood, and energy of the whole place is absolutely perfect. I wouldnt change a thing!

We had a birthday party here. The hostess was awesome and very attentive, very helpful. We even ran a bit over on time and they weren’t pushy. It’s a really good value for your money if you have a kids party here.

We went to bowl with our son and the place was packed with no availability, didnt even offer us to be put on a waitlist so we went to the arcade for a few then went back to the front desk and the lady was VERY rude and told us she had 13 people on the waiting list after not even offering us to be put on it. Dont think Ill ever go back after an experience like this one and an extremely upset child

Great place to go to have fun kid friendly plus the food is great if I do say so myself being one of the chefs there, its also a very great place to work.

So, tâter tots were amazing, but that was about it. Food was bland and over cooked. Then the bowling area was crazy busy as was the arcade. We were there on a Saturday, so hopefully better on other days.

I havent been bowling in years. The company I work for, let us employees play till about midnight. It was a very enjoyable experience

Great time bowling at this place. They also had a nice game room for the kids to play in and get small prizes from the tickets they accumulated. My only issue was the shoe rentals seemed to be quite high at over $5.00 a pair. It was about the same price as a game of bowling.

Not a bad bowling alley with a great arcade I just think the manager who does scheduling needs to learn child labor laws considering they have had 15 year olds work past 7 and I’ve been told by other employees they have had a 16 year old work till 1 am. It just seems to me they are taking advantage of teens that don’t know the laws.

Definitely the best bowling alley in Vermont. They keep the planes in good condition and there are plenty of balls to use. They also have a game room, laser tag and restaurant attached. Great place for all ages.

I took high school level cadets here for laser tag and games. They loved it. Laser tag setup was very cool. Was a bit pricey. Also only one employee covering the the entire gaming area. Well definitely go back next year.

I am so disgusted with the way this place is run now. How can they expect to have a great bowling alley with NO proshop. Where do they expect their patrons to get their ball drilled in a emergency? There is so much more that is needed other than just the lanes to bowl on. This used to be a great place. Since they have now decided that renting the space out rather than hire someone to run it it has gone down hill. No one can afford the rent they want for the space. Not to mention rent it out and make any profit. If there were any other options around trust me we would not be using this as our main house.

Rather expensive food for the quality. They have the bowling market rather cornered, and it shows in their efforts. Great food server, exceptional speed and kindness there. Front desk rather rude, smugly dismissive and impatient when it came to customer service.

My family and I had a blast here! All but 1 machine was up and running. We enjoyed ourselves and will go back again.

Great place to bowl and the attached restaurant makes an awesome burger! Make sure to call ahead though as they have leauge that fill them up most nights for a few hours.

Look at the schedule, give them a call, or check their website because a lot of the times they have League nights and it is hard to get a lane.Great for kids parties too. Would definitely recommend for something fun to do in the area.

Great bowling Alley, the restaurant attached however is absolutely terrible. We waited over an hour for a salad and a burger, which take less than 10 minutes to make. Service was nice, and very apologetic- and they absolutely arent to blame.So if you do want to bowl, or use the arcade, eat somewhere else first.

I love bowling. I loved late night bowling. But the DJ they have working there now is fairly atrocious, only plays rap music, and interjects with his own vocals which could be fine... If he were good.

The lanes are well kept, upgrades are on the way with new ovens. Hopefully, this means improved pizza and fully cooked fries.

Spare time is your quintessential bowling alley. Really good prices on certain nights (late night Friday and Saturday and Sunday nights especially). Plus laser tag and a full arcade. The attached restaurant and bar are well priced and have good large beers for good prices.

Spare Time is a truly great establishment. It is a one stop shop for you and your family. Tons of food and activities. Good bar. Great bowling and great people. I have bowled for years and have been in many leagues. This is definitely one of the best centers in our area. By the way if you need a bowling ball or just need one drilled they have a great pro shop. I had Jason drill a ball for me and it is awesome. The best fit I ever had for a bowling ball. It not only fits right but it works like I want it to. Absolutely no complaints. I highly recommend Spare Time!

Lots of little kids running around. Friendly staff. They charged my phone for me while I was hanging out with friends. Food took a long time to come out, but wasnt bad.
