Sunset has a very organized system, great setup with high quality displays. They have excellent selections of new releases, blockbuster hits, and classics at affordable pricing. Their online ordering system (for tickets and food) is very convenient and they provide generous sorting in between cars. Always a double feature for the price of 1, if you choose to stay that late. Theyre also good about enforcing cargo door hight restrictions and such. A wonderful place for a summer/autumn evening activity.

I really enjoy this experience. For context I haven’t been to a drive-in theater in almost 20 years so this was a really nice moment and a really good slice of life Time for me to turn off my mind and just lay back and enjoy a movie under the stars. There aren’t a ton of these in New York where I live so I will definitely consider making another trip up here even if it’s just for this to make a weekend trip out of it. Staff is friendly everything was clean and food at the snack bar was great , easy recommendation for me.

Sometimes you only know what kind of service you are going to receive is when something unexpected happens and that is what happened to us while we were at the Sunset drive in theater in Colchester. It was our first time, we watched the movie and left, no issues, food was as ordered, movie screen was okay, staff were friendly but nothing extraordinary and more than a typical movie going experience. But then we get home and I could not find my wallet, having made no other stops we return to the Sunset Drive-in theater not sure how we would be able to search in the dark, it was around 10:30 pm..and if we could even turn our lights on with movies still playing. To our pleasant surprise, the box office person was very helpful and radioed staff to help us look for the wallet. Two grounds crew met us in the row where we had parked and helped us search the parking spots and also looked in the car. They brought their flashlights and walked up and down with us, there was a not a single moment that I felt that I was being an inconvenience, everyone seemed like they cared about me finding my wallet. For some, this may be a typical experience, but us being minorities sometimes the level of service we receive varies unfortunately. We did not find the wallet at that time, but we are genuinely appreciative of the efforts of the staff. They were very nice, friendly, and showed real consideration for us which I believe is lacking in some service industries. The staff also took my number and name down, promising that if someone found it in the morning, they would call us which again was very thoughtful. Eventually, when we got back home, we found my wallet, after going through the car for a couple of hours..it had fallen into a crevice inside the door and it was very well hidden from all of us. This is a very simple act that the staff at the drive in theater, but it was a truly amazing experience for me given my small moment of crisis.

I have been many times over the years and I am always impressed. The screens look better than any other drive in I have been to. The snack shack makes loads of options for food and at a reasonable price. Even during covid they found a way to keep things chill and feel safe. Its always been a great time at this drive in and I look forward going again soon.

This was my first time at a drive in theater, so I dont have much to compare. I thought the picture was good. The sound is as good as it is in your car ( you tune to am FM station ). People largely kept their distance and wore masks outside of the vehicles. Bathrooms were the portable kind, so that could use improvement. The experience is different from a traditional theater but certainly fewer people having conversations during the film.

What a American classic! The experience connects you to a time almost forgotten. The magic of watching a movie from your car or back of your truck just cant be compared to todays theaters. Whether your with a date or your family, you wont be disappointed. Theres a classic concession stand and between movies, the classic, Lets all go to the Snack Bar intermission film plays! If youre looking for a memorable evening this is worth the drive! Our family ordered Chinese take out and tailgated during the movie. It was a blast!

This is a pretty nice drive in. The prices went up a bit but with the economy im sure they have to survive to. The screens and the grounds are well taken care of and the snack bar has some good food to munch on. My only real gripe is the rude people who feel they have to come in late or switch screens and interrupt the other viewers.

I havent been to a drive in theater in over 20 years, so it was fun to give the kids the experience of going to one for the first time. We parked with the tail gate facing the screen and let the kids sit in the back with the hatch on the SUV raised out of the way. 4 stars for good looking screens and decent sound - we did not visit the snackbar or use the facilities. Parking spots are first-come, first-serve and ticketing is done online. Prices may seem a bit steep at first, but compared to indoor movie going its reasonable - and you get a double feature of you want!

I never knew this drive inn existed until I started dating my husband! I wish drive inns would make a complete comeback! We love it here! They have four screens each with double features but you can choose a different movie/screen after the first movie! They always show the latest movies out They have a good variety of snacks. All prices are reasonable. My only complaints are 1)you sometimes have to deal with mosquitos and 2)we have to drive an hour to get there but...its worth it!

A fun old-time drive-in experience. Only gave 4 stars due to having to move because there are no instructions. We had a SUV and they arent allowed in the front 2 rows, so we had to move back. The guide there was telling every other car it seemed to move back, wasting a lot of time and causing unnecessary stress for people. Some signage and instruction at the front would help!

I have been coming here since I was a child. I saw almost every major childhood movie here and I love this place because of the memories. That being said the owner has seriously lost touch with what they sell: a movie experience. They should have invested in modern clean bathrooms and a new snack bar instead of a motel. The sound quality of the movies is so bad when a loud movie event occurs with deep bass I had to turn my radio down for fear of damaging my speakers (they need to turn the inputs down on their FM transmitters because it causes bass clip). A during guardians 2 a few years back the movie stopped playing 3 times. It ruined a rare date night with my wife. They told us to suck eggs instead of a refund or an offer for another movie some other time. I wanted to share my childhood memories with my own children but not if the movies are unreliable and poor quality. It hard enough to keep their attention in an actual movie theater without mosquitoes.

So I have not been to a Drive-in in years like 10. This place is right around the corner from my inlaws house. The price is right on for 2 movies as is the screen size. The location is great even if you are coming from Burlington. The cons were the bugs, mosquito bites are unreal. So bring bug spray and citronella. They sell the old fashioned coils at the snack bar as well. The thing that really gave it a 4 star is the last movie was advertised to start at 10:50 and was a full 34 minutes late starting. If that was not the movie we came for we would have left. Insane if you say 10:50 then start at 10:50. Overall a very nice place.

I love the drive in. You get to bring the food and drinks you want while watching a movie. You can see 2 or more movies in an evening for one price. Kids under 5 are free. They have a play area under screen 1 where kids can unload some of that built up energy before the movie starts. This drive in has 4 screens so when youre done one and want to see another at one of the other screens, you just drive over to watch it. Sometimes they have festivals that they show 3 or 4 movies on a day for one low price, not bad if you want to pull an all nighter. This place is where memories are made. I went here as a kid, and where Ive taken my kids, and now my kids are taking their children. So its been a tradition thats been going on for a long time and I hope continues on.

Started the movie while the suns was still up so we just basically had audio while missing foundation points for the movie. Also told that trucks and vans couldn’t be in the first three rows, we were in the third with no spaces behind us and showed up an hour early. Naturally they wait to ask us to move 15 mins before hand while having to be 5 rows back due to filled up spaces while other trucks and vans are in the second row. Seriously?? Tell us upfront or at least be consistent.

Good old school drivein. I say old school because nothing has been replace since the 80s other than the projectors and credit card machines. In some places, it gives it an nostalgic feel when you see your kids play on the swings you used to play on when you were little. But sometimes it gives it a cheap feeling, like the Mens bathroom on screen one (the only one Ive ever been in). But you get two movies for the price of one, and there is something special about seeing a movie in the fresh outdoors.
