Such a shame that this venue closed. It was a nice small intimate theater where some big headliners performed. I saw Tammy Wynett and George Jones there, Rodney Dangerfield, Eddie Murphy, and Tom Jones, just to name a few. There were so many GREAT shows!! We were season pass holders. It started out as the Colonie Coliseum and then became the Starlight Theater. Unlike a lot of the theaters around at that time you were able to get alcoholic beverages, and take your drinks back to your seat, which was a nice little perk. The only downside of the theater was no air conditioning, and inside that tent during the summer, it could get extremely hot. We were always hoping that somebody would buy the property and build a proper theater because we can never have too many venues for the arts
