Just about 5 mins from the east entrance. The cabins are log and very cute. The surroundings are all green. We had a view of the mountains from our cabin. They have a restaurant that serves food starting 7 am in the morning upto 9:30 pm at night. The food is your regular American fare, big portions, meat, potatoes, and a fish. Their clam chowder was quite decent, which I enjoyed immensely. They have a gas station which opens at 7 am. The gift shop is interesting. Overall, this is a good place to come and chill out. If you plan to hit all the major things in Yellowstone, then start at 6 in the morning as it takes about 2 hours to get to old faithful.

Would gave 0 stars if it was possible. Very disappointed! No wifi - paid or free. Thou they claim they have it on the ad. There is one spot where you can get some very weak connection while freezing outside on a bench. As I was planning to keep up with some work, that misleading was very damaging. The second night came home to find out no hot water or heat in the cabin - and it was 30s outside. After sleeping in my clothes on, shivering all night, went to the manager - to find out yes, it broke, we are trying to fix it now - no apology, nothing to make it better. I was leaving that morning and asked how soon it will be fixed so I can take a warm shower before leaving - very rude answer I dont know. Never will be coming back! Considering, it is 2 hours drive to the park, maybe its for the best.

We were so excited to find Pahaska Tepees Cabins right outside of Yellowstones east entrance! The cabins were very nice and comfortable for being so inexpensive and we especially loved the gift shop! Customer Service was wonderful and everyone that works there is very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this resort and would stay at it again! Thank you to Pahaska Tepee for the great job you all do!

If I could only review the pub this place would get a 10/10. The bar owner was awesome. He talked with us as my fiance and I played cards and had great cocktails. However, the cabin itself was outdated and not as clean as I would like. Moldy buildup in the tub (under most of the crevices of the bath), and spiderwebs in corners of the room and bathroom. The carpet was old and sticky in a few spots. Absolutely no internet connection, not in the room or in the main building. Zero cell reception as stated on the website. NO AC IN THE CABINS. Only heat. It got up on the 80s during our stay and it was very stuffy in the room.We ate twice in the restaurant. The steak was 50% fat and under seasoned. The buffalo burgers were yummy, but again under seasoned.Service was nice though and the check in process was a breeze.

Customer service is very poor. We arrived around 9pm to look for lodging. There was a sign saying to call for lodging, but there was one number missing from the telephone number listed. Even if it was completely there, there was no cellular service or wifi to utilize. We saw someone inside and thought we were in luck. As the gentleman working let out two last customers, I went to ask him a question, but before I could, he made eye contact with me and then closed and locked the door. Ill repeat that.. he made eye contact with me and closed and locked the door as I was walking towards him to ask a question. There were other cars/people there also looking to contact the property. The gentleman did not ask us if we needed anything, had questions, or even say were closed. I would have understood if he would have just said I cant help you, but he chose differently. If this is how they treat potential lodgers/customers, I dont want to know how they treat actual ones. We were able to go down the road to the Green Creek Inn, arrive at 10pm, and be received courteously and kindly. I urge you to take your business there.

Great place to relax and unwind with cabins (not tepees, lol). We paid the extra $20 for a king and a jetted tub-- which was well worth it. Conveniently located 1 mile from the east entrance to Yellowstone. Note: There isnt any TV, cell service or fridge. This was perfect for us since we had our ice chest, cook stove and table to cook on the porch of our unit (during COVID they only serve food to go but its a little pricey). There is a small store and lodgers get a free bag of ice per day. Adult beverages were available for sale on the patio of the restaurant. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The room price was a lot higher than in Cody but half the price of anything in Yellowstone.

Beautiful, beautiful location. It really doesnt get much better. The food I ordered in the restaurant there was perfect. I had the buffalo meatloaf. It was super cool to see the wild buffalo roaming around the premises and I mean... within 10-15 ft. of my doorstep. Just an awesome place. My only concern (not necessarily a complaint) would be.. that it seemed a bit chilly at night and I couldnt see how to heat the room up. I saw what looked to be a floor heater or something, but no controls or anything.

When we arrived, our room greeted us with a dirty sink that wasnt draining properly either. Not a good starting point. Then, after telling the management about the problem the next morning, it was not fixed the following day. Only on the third day of our stay it got taken care of. Also, no AC and air circulation. Even if its cool outside, it will be warm inside with the window open. Had to cut our stay short because of these issues. The restaurant was good and the service there as well, though.

The phone was so grimy I wouldnt touch it. My dog found a pill that apparently had been there for a while and I was lucky to get it before he swallowed it.Its several units in each cabin and big openings to the hallway so you can hear other guests coughing and whispering. Next door came in 2.30 AM and even though they tried to be very quiet I heard every step. The gift shop was open for part of the day and it is quite large with lots of cool souvenirs for everyone. Theres free WiFi around the gift shop/restaurant only, no signals at cabin. The scenery around cabin is gorgeous. The cabin itself was a 2 queen bed cozy cabin. It was warm and clean. It came with coffee, toiletries in the room, lots of towels and an alarm clock with USB ports. I wasnt too pleased with the shower though. The water was nice and hot but the pressure was so fierce that it hurt some body parts. Besides that I would love to stay here again before the end of the season next time.

DO NOT TRUST THIS RESORT DURING DESPERATE COVID TIMES...I booked the resort prior the pandemic and paid the stay in full per their policy. I called to cancel when the COVID pandemic peaked which was in April. I called many times but no answer and I left a message to cancel on May 8th. They claim they did not get my message and will not refund my deposit. When I asked if they were sold out the night of my stay, the manager said no. So although I did not cancel a room they could have sold to someone else (not sold out), the manager denied my refund 4 days prior my stay. The manager hung her hat on a policy of principle so she could keep money when no service was provided. Do not trust this resort with your deposit.

Stop and visit, but find a different place to stay. Our room was clean, but you can hear anyone that comes into building. This was the most expensive place we stayed in 10 nights of Wyoming. Accommodations were much nicer 53 miles away in Cody. Restaurant was the worse part of this stay. They were busy with a group of 30 and could care less about my wife and I sitting in the corner swatting flies. Both our meals were awful and over cooked and took forever to get. The reason we stayed was for the views, but after waiting so long for horrible food, we only had 15 minutes to sit outside before it got dark. Lady we talked to day before was very knowledgeable and pleasant friendly and made us want to stay here, but the women the evening we checked in was rude and condescending when my wife asked a few questions regarding room. This was our anniversary trip and was supposed to be an expensive treat and special night, but between the overcooked dinner and the rudeness of the lady at the check-in counter.....nothing was special after watching my wife cry in the parking lot. I should have driven back to Cody where we had a great room and plenty of restaurants to choose from. Stop and look around as it is historic and neat to see, but stay somewhere else! Stay was a Huge disappointment. Thankfully we enjoyed every other night on our 10 day 3500 mile trip with this place being the exception! I was here 55 years ago and wanted to share this with my wife. We had looking forward and had planned on staying around the next day to tour the original Buffalo Bill lodge with the spitting image of Buffalo Bill himself and then going on a trail ride with Will from Tennessee who was super friendly with a Great personality. Funny how 2 people a day before made us want to stay and another person and a crappy meal when we stayed made us want to leave, but after we were woke up at 5:45 AM by someone upstairs from us, we couldnt wait to check out. We decided to cut our losses and get on with different plans. DISAPPOINTING ALTOGETHER! Reading the other reviews here now seems to be hit or miss? We did find out that most employees would be out of work in another week or so and maybe that had to due with our sub-par stay? Reviews earlier in the season look better than later in the season? Im always hesitant to leave bad reviews and have only left a couple in all these years with Google, but bad is bad and if it helps someone else avoid bad accommodations so be it. We did receive a restaurant credit, but this was because they overcharged the price of the room which was printed on the rate sheet and miss attitude didnt want to fix the overcharge and told us we could get a free drink or dessert.

This place is a hidden gem located literally in the middle of a national forest outside of Yellowstone in Shoshone national forest. We had no idea what to expect and this place certainly exceeded our expectations. Very charming, typical mountain build cabins and layout. The cabins were very clean and cozy. The bed was very comfortable and temperature easily adjustable. The tub was amazing and such a nice thing to enjoy after a long day hiking with a 40 lb pack on (including my 6 month old in it :)Hospitality was awesome. Everyone was authentically nice and friendly, not fake weird friendly. The food was really good as well. Everything tasted authentic and made with love not just out of a can and microwaved. We could taste that is was simply done recipes but done very well. That was a very nice quality especially since you’re 50 miles away from the closest town. One thing to point out is there is, embarrassingly obviously to me now, no cell phone service which I actually think is quite charming! However it was hard for my husband and myself considering we both own businesses and have to check in. But that was really our oversight and I actually really enjoyed being not reachable. If WiFi was possible in every room that would have definitely been easier. But overall it was an excellent stay and we had a very nice time there. I would highly recommend this place to anyone going out this way!

Dont stay overnight! Its a great historical site to stop and see and walk the grounds, visit the gift shop, and talk with Will and pet his horses or go on a trail ride along the river...thats it! I would have given a 5 star if we didnt stay overnight. The lady who checked me in and gave me the key to our room in their lodge (not a single cabin as I was originally told) was not friendly at all. She didnt like questions and huffed or laughed at questions asked such as; what is the internet password, is there a coffee pot in our room, directions to lodge/room, what time does the restaurant open in the morning for coffee. She was unhappy very rude and condescending. Not the way a resort guest should be treated. The couple before me was given the same treatment by her and they walked away looking very troubled by her inhospitable mistreatment. The room was clean but really really eerie, room was loud and you could hear the people very clearly in the other rooms, not worth the price we paid! The Internet password didnt work and the only one pricey restaurant was horrible. It took forever to get my sliders which were black hard hockey pucks. Couldnt wait to get out of there the next morning! Wish we continued to stay at our great hotel lodge in Cody and drive the extra miles. Lots of cabins in addition to the lodge. Really close to the East entrance of Yellowstone. I wish the floorplans were available for all cabins. The double queen room I booked (number 42) in a cabin on the hill was hard to navigate. There was about 9 inches of space between the beds and with the bedding, that meant its not easy to get from the entrance door to the bathroom. The desk was so close to the closet that the closet was unusable. Room service kept opening the closet door for some reason, but at night I was able to see light from the adjoining room so that didnt make me feel very comfortable. The bathroom was cramped and had pretty much no ventilation. If I took a shower I had to keep the door closed after to prevent the room from heating up. Not knowing there were 4 adjoining rooms with poor noise insulation, I wouldnt have brought my kids there. It was a combination of me struggling to keep my kids quiet while being able to hear my neighbors calling their pet or mentally handicap loved one in the morning to come get breakfast. No A/C or even a fan, so we had to leave the ground level windows open continuously in the month of July. There was visible light through the log walls to the outside and the interior tongue and groove pine paneling was obviously slapped up in a hurry without much thought about gaps and cracks. Anyway, just some thoughts about the construction and features of the cabins. The front desk (gift shop) staff were pleasant and helpful, although seemed mostly indifferent and oblivious to the happenings around them. Once, the main gate was closed from the parking lot to the cabins and I had to inquire from the front desk how to get to my cabin. They showed me the back driveway that I was barely able to squeeze through with my minivan to reach my room. Anyway, a map online, floorplans for each room and a little more thought into the construction and layout will go a long way to make things better for the guests.

As a warning to my fellow millennials, no cell service, no wifi and no ac. They do have limited wifi inside the restaurant. But besides has amazing views and amazing location. We even went horseback riding right from the resort. I love the place definitely would stay again!!

When planning my road trip I had noticed this place just before the park so assumed would be high prices for even coffee, but needed a pit stop before the final push into the park and was not disappointed. So don’t be afraid to stop and say Hi to the lovely staff and buy something warm to drink or more

The food was great...but for $560.00 for 3 days in a very small room with no A/C was way too much to bear.

Beautiful spot along the river. A short distance from the east entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Staff was friendly and helpful. I had a burger at the restaurant, it was slow, but it was great. Nice gift shop. The rooms were clean. I was in a room without a tv...but this is not an issue because it was not the reason I was there, and forced me to enjoy the amazing views.

Pahaska Tepee Resort is located on Codys east entrance/exit to Yellowstone national park. The gift shop offers a good variety of souvenirs for Yellowstone and the surrounding area plus some beautiful jewelry made in the area. Its also home to Buffalo Bills original lodge that is open to the public. The Lodge has some authentic furnishings from Buffalo Bills time. We did not stay overnight or ride horses here.....but we would if we came back to the area. The grounds were well maintained and the horse stable area was clean.
