Had to find a last-minute spot, did not disappoint! Stayed here for 5 days. Friendly staff, happy to answer questions & get us extra items as needed. People w/ room complaints..seriously?! Plenty of room to make due. Clean, mini fridge, microwave, mini coffee maker, Wi-Fi, etc. & the price was very fair. Also - great location between Cody & Yellowstone. They have a cute grassy oasis behind the main building (you cant see it from the road really), with horseshoe toss/yard games, standing barbeque grills (you supply charcoal) and fire pits with garden seats. Their gym was great - nice equipment, clean, could get a solid workout in. You could tell they care about the property. Would definitely come back.

Great location. The cabins are small but had everything we needed. Food options were not the best but with Covid some of that was to be expected. We were able to find more options just a few miles down toward Yellowstone. The staff was really friendly and it had great views to end your day.

This place is beautiful, unique and a great experience! The setting is wonderful, backs right up To a gorgeous river. It’s about 40 miles to Yellowstone’s East entrance, address says Cody, it’s probably about the last thing in Cody, right next to Wapiti. The beds seemed outdated, super bouncy so my husband and I struggled to get quality sleep as every single movement could be felt and would shake the other awake, but other than that it was nice. Even our teenage daughter loved it and it’s hard to please her these days! Lol! The check in was way too easy, check out even better. I can’t wait to go back and stay again!

We stayed in a cabin for three nights and it wasnt horrible but I would not return. The cabins are duplexes and the common wall is very thin. We were awakened near midnight by voices from the folks next door. Also, the cabin should be better equipped. In addition to a mini fridge and a small coffee pot there was a nightstand w/a lamp, one vanity sized table, one chair, two beds and three clothes hangers. The mattresses were barely tolerable but the pillows were nice. The bathroom had absolutely nowhere to sit anything or hang anything. A few hooks on the walls would go a long way to make guests stay more bearable. The shower was TINY. Not even enough room to raise your arms to shampoo your hair. And if you drop the soap you cant even bend over to pick it up. Shaving your legs is also out or the question. Seriously, the width of the shower was the same as a standard bath towel. So I guess okay for extremely petite people.Never got a chance to try the food as the one evening we went to the restaurant it was closed. Would like to have tried the breakfast but we were already on the road every day before they opened at 7:30AM.Its conveniently located near the East entrance to Yellowstone and the scenery is nice. Enjoyed sitting in the chairs beside the river one evening. But overall I feel it was overpriced.

We stayed in a suite, one king bed, two twin beds. The first night the water in the shower was lukewarm but the next night it was completely freezing. Since the front desk isn’t 24/7 we had to wait until the next morning to bring it up. The maintenance man had made some comments about the number of people in the room and the capacity of the water heater before even looking at it. Turns out the element was out and they fixed it while we were away. The rooms electrical outlets were loose, so chargers were falling out as soon as they were inserted. We also couldn’t figure out how to make the ceiling fan work.

This is the info from the booking site on the cancellation policy: Cancellation Policy/Reservation Change PolicyOnce you make a reservation and cancel for any reason outside of 15 days of arrival, a cancellation fee equal to one nights rent plus tax and a $5.00 reservation fee will be charged. If you cancel within 14 days of arrival, no refund will be issued. No-shows will not receive a refund. There is no indication that one can receive credit for a future stay.

It was a place to stay although the scenery could use a bit of work, it felt like we were just staying in a gravel lot. However there was a nice view of the river in the back. The cabin was nice, except for the fact that the walls were paper thin. The first night no one was staying next to us and it was fine, but the second night there was someone staying next to us and they were just horribly loud. I could hear them clearly, and it was just hard to get to sleep. Plus the wifi didnt reach our room which was disappointing. The breakfast was good though! I thought it was a cute little place, but personally there were too many negatives for me to consider returning. Hopefully others experiences are better than my own.

The cabins look great and the courtyard in front of them is very inviting with fire pits and games and chairs. The RV Park feels like an afterthought. Located in behind the cabins, it’s a gravel lot with narrow spaces, a rough picnic table that barely fits between the two rigs and a tiny stone fire ring that’s too small to really use. The showers and restrooms are utilitarian. Clean enough to use but not enough to feel confident you won’t walk away with a new kind of fungus, they smell faintly of mildew. The river view is lined with comfortable log chairs and is a pleasant place to enjoy your morning coffee or a beer in the evening, but overall, this is a utilitarian landing zone, not a comfortable destination. As far as landing zones go, it’s a long drive from the more common destinations in Yellowstone and the East entrance (which is about 16 miles from YVI) feels very remote. We enjoyed our stays in West Yellowstone and Gardiner more than our East entrance stay, though that is just the reality of the location and no fault of the YVI.

Restaurant was not open, access to the river was closed due disrepair of stairs, there was overflowing trash, the toilets were backed up, the laundry dryer took multiple cycles and clothes still not dry, the Gym was good....if you were willing to overlook the toilet which was over flowing with sewage. For what we paid to stay, I expected more...or at least an update on the website that there was issues with the access to river and Restaurant closings. I was not a happy RV camper.

We made a reservation to stay there for a family gathering, less than 24 hours my husband was rushed to the hospital with blood clots in his leg and lung. From the hospital parking lot (since Covid) I couldnt go in with him, I called and cancelled our teservation. The girl at the desk was nice, home we it took a while for them to refund the amount. they kept $50.00 for a reservation less than 24 hours old.I talked with the manager & told her I could fax or text the hospital paperwork, she said no that they had expenses, on a less than 24 hour cancellation with proof of a medical emergency !!! She called me names said they were keeping the money & basically hung up on me ! If they need money badly enough to rip people off !! I dont recommend that you give them your credit card, you are at the managers mercy and she has none. We are filing with our bank. But this is a warning to help you avoid what grief we experience, with such nastiness & greed I dont know why any one would put their vacation & credit card at risk. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME, TZHIS HAS EVER HAPPENRD TO US, usually proof of medical emergency will be fully refunded. I blame the owners for allowing someone like that manager to mistreat customers & charge credit cards at her will.

More of a motel than a hotel... but the room was superb, with a view of the river. We had a 2nd floor room and kept the balcony open to the river all night. The hot tub closed early at 9:30pm, but the staff was very accommodating and opened it up for us after the (unreasonably early) closing time. The on-site restaurant food was decent with excellent service-- several neighboring tables got their food for free after slow kitchen service (without complaining). Theres not much to do here, but it is a short drive to see the Smith Mansion, and its a great stop on the way to Yellowstone coming from the East entrance. If you plan on seeing the Cody night rodeo however, you may want to stay in Cody as this is a bit out of town.

Staying at this hotel was DEFINITELY a learning experience for me. TLDR; no hot water, maintenance guy was kinda rude, ultimately got it fixed. When we booked this hotel we chose it because it was closer to the gate for Yellowstone than some of the hotels in Cody proper. Since we stayed during the COVID reopening things were a bit different, no fresh towels each day, the spa and pool were closed, restaurant was closed save for a predetermined breakfast each morning. We originally booked for 4 people but added in a fifth, I called to make sure there would be no problem and was assured it would be okay as long as “you don’t bring 7 or 8 people.” We also asked about when breakfast was served and had been told the dining area opened at 6. Upon arrival we learned since there was a fifth person we’d have to pay for their breakfast each day, about $9 +tax AND that it started an hour and a half later (possibly due to COVID changed/adaptions). Of course there was only 4 towels in the room. The front desk isn’t manned 24 hours, so later in the evening when we discovered there was no hot water there was no one to inform. The next morning the door to the lobby unlocked PROMPTLY at 7:30 and we inform them there was no hot water. When the maintenance guy came to the room, he told us the tankless hot water heater only had a 4 gallon capacity and because there were so many of us (again, we called in advance) we’d have to wait between each person never mind the fact it was cold for the very first person. It was discovered it needed a new heating element and they fixed it up quickly. So, if you’re staying in a hotel without a front desk representative 24 hours a day make sure you have hot water before they lock up for the night.

In the area a day early for our Rex Hale State Park visit and had to find a place for one night and the Yellowstone Valley Inn & RV Park had an opening. The RV park is fairly large and the sites are wide enough for extensions without crowding your neighbor. We have a 15 with no extension and had plenty of space on both sides. Our site had electricity, water and sewer and there is free WIFI available, though it really bogs down in the evenings. No trees at the sites, but each does have a picnic table and fire pit.We were tired from the drive from Cheyenne so we opted for dinner in the restaurant. Adding two drinks, plus one dessert the bill totaled around $70. For a pasta dish for my wife and fish and chips for me that sounded high, but it was good.Staff at check in and the restaurant were great. The bathrooms are nice - They are individual rooms with a shower, toilet and sink with a solid double lock door so complete privacy. I used one around 8pm and it was clean; my wife used another around 9pm and the floor was soaked as if someone hadnt pull the shower curtain completely closed.Nice grass area for a dog walk. They offer a coffee bar and breakfast buffet (buffet was $11 per person if youre in the RV park) but we opted out of both.I have to say the one CON for this visit was the price. Even with the Good Sam and Veteran discount the price for one night was $90.

Our overall experience with Yellowstone Valley RV Park was poor. We’d had several phone conversations with them; the last of which 3 days before our arrival letting them know that we’d be arriving a day early and asked if they could accommodate our party or if we needed to make other arrangements for the early arrival. They assured us that we could arrive a day early but that we may have to move the following day (no problem).Long story short, we arrived only to find they weren’t expecting us, the person we spoke to hadn’t relayed the information. After several phone calls, the general manager finally came to the office (with an attitude) and was able to get things sorted out... so an hour and a half after our arrival we were finally setting up in our site with the understanding we’d have to move in the morning. Let me just stop here and say that we were understanding of the situation and was totally taken back by the lack of customer service... even though we’d called ahead to make the arrangements we were made to feel that we were at fault.Part of the issue stemmed from the fact that the person taking our reservation recorded the length of our coach and trailer incorrectly; upon arriving we were told that if our towed trailer didn’t fit in our site we’d have to park it in the overflow lot at an extra charge. Come to find out the extra charge was because we were America Passport members; they had a policy that if a guest paid full price for the site the overflow lot was free. Fortunately, we fit in the site but again the customer service was severely lacking. They are not required to be part of the America Passport network; but if they chose to be they should give those guests the same level of service rather than treating them like “second class citizens”.I’m not going to go into each and every situation where we received less than satisfactory customer service; but it is worth mentioning that it rained several days during our visit, and one day in particular it was almost non-stop. Around 10 a.m. we brought to their attention that our RV site was flooding and we were having difficulty coming and going from our coach. We were told “it’s an act of god; there was a lot of water, what do you want me to do, dig a ditch?”. Mind you, our RV spot was directly in front of the GM/Owner’s residence; they were well aware that this was a problem since they told us it’s been unusually wet. In fact, we’ve since read other reviews regarding flooding. Due to sinking, we moved our coach forward and/or backward on three different occasions that day in order to keep it as level as possible. After approximately 2 hrs of no apparent effort to do anything we approached them again; at this point leaving the coach meant standing in muddy water up to our ankles. We could no longer jump from dry spot to dry spot (I wish there was a way to upload pictures). At this point the GM/Owner finally brought over some mats and set up a pump across the road. Taking a walk through the park (once we could leave our coach) we found that our site and the one next to us were the worse... none of the others had anywhere near the standing water we had. I say this to make the point, he really only had to contend with these two sites.I would like to think that we are reasonable people and I sincerely believe this would’ve been a much different review (in spite of the problems) if they had practiced prompt and courteous customer service; regardless of whether or not we paid full price for the site. It starts at the top... if the GM/Owner doesn’t lead by example you can be sure the employees won’t view it as important either.
