We have 2 favorite places to eat in Cocoa, and this is one of them! Just an old school Florida bar and restaurant on the beach with some surfer vibes. Their drinks (hurricanes, buckets, and beer) have ruined us a few times. The wings are awesome, but I go here for the Fish Tacos...and they are best around. Have eaten all over their menu and never disappointed. The service just gets to be hit or miss sometimes. But our last visit nailed it with constant beer refills and being attentive.

Great place to go for cheap beer and good food. We had the Joey style wings and the fish, shrimp, and carne asada tacos. I would highly recommend coming here after a day at the beach.

Forced me to go back to my car in the pouring rain to get a mask even though Brevard county does not require masks... Then when I got inside none of the customers were wearing a mask... But they do have amazing drinks and food! Definitely try the cat 5 drink and the taco pizza!

Shrimp and carne asada tacos are great! Dont waste your time on the chicken because they are dry. You need to smother them in sour cream to be edible. My wife has the ground beef and fish and they were both excellent. Service was great. Food came crazy fast.

Many a great night (and corresponding hungover next morning) has been had here. The food is really good too!

Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the Cocoa Beach area. They have a wide array of menu items that are sure to appeal to whatever mood you may be in. The tacos are absolutely delicious, and they have a good selection of cocktails/beers. The location is also really nice, as it is within close walking distance to the beach.

This is definitely a first. After abnormally slow service despite being overstaffed, the server apparently mixed up the credit cards on her bills, charged someone elses bill to my credit card and mine to their card. They apparently didnt notice and left with my card, then she took a few more minutes and gave me my bill charged to their card.Management apparently comped my bill, but that doesnt make up for how much of my time they wasted in my now needing to replace that card and reset billing to all my accounts online. Yay.

One of the must visits while in the area. Relaxed vibe, really good food (personal favorite is the tacos) and a good variety of drinks. Great for a lunch, dinner or hangout (good sports coverage).

Great game day experience. As the only Hoosiers in the house, they gave us our own TV to watch the Colts. Great game, great food, cold drinks and wonderful service!

Some of the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. I got them every way they make them and every way is delicious. We love that we can park and spend a day at the beach and just walk up for lunch and leave our beach gear. Perfect venue and atmosphere.

This was our first time eating out in quite awhile... we were a bit timid, but,Sandbar is doing all the right stuff by covid guidelines. We were both impressed and comfortable and glad we finally ventured out.Now, about the food! Its ALL good. It doesnt matter what you order you wont be disappointed. NOT PRACTICING PROPER SOCIAL-DISTANCING - We came to enjoy a well-deserved night out for the holiday weekend, just as restrictions were loosening up for restaurants. Plenty of outdoor seating, so we felt safe visiting. We (party of 2) were given a picnic table in the corner, very comfortable but enough for maybe 8- people and the night was busy enough with waiting guests. No biggie. However, just in front was a 4-person cocktail table that within 5-minutes of us sitting (after waiting 45-minutes to do so) they placed a 13-person family there.....at a 4-person cocktail table....these guests were all drunk out of their minds, yelling while speaking, being completely belligerent. They hovered around our table, SAT at our table - not kidding!!! Actually 4 of them sat down, pretending there was nothing wrong. Our waitress didn’t do anything about it either, and we know we saw how upset we were as she took the order of the people that were SITTING AT OUR TABLE. We eventually had enough and left without eating the food we ordered. We were absolutely disgusted by the staff turning a blind eye. The manager comped the check (we didn’t touch the $20 worth of appetizers anyways, so that was a given) and apologized. Said he didn’t “think they’d do that”????. I don’t understand what you expect when you place a 13-person family at a 4-person table....Good atmosphere, good food - from what we saw - but definitely needs a lot more time to adjust to new safety standards.

This place a really fun atmosphere and great food. Id highly recommend to visitors and residents alike. This is one of the few places Id like to try everything on the menu!

Wow! A hidden GEM!! Sandy, a little sunburned, and hungry in Cocoa Beach?? The Sandbar is the place to be!! High recommend the FISH TACOS!! I ordered them blackened and the Mrs. had them grilled! Beer is cold and the live band was the perfect way to end our beach day ! We will return!

You can hear the ocean, eat a variety of foods, drink & dance. We had a great time checking it out on a Saturday. Def plan to go back.

Health department should visit. No Distancing, staff stops you at the door to tell you to wear a mask after they pull there’s on as you walk up. Not a clean place, sanitizer is a joke, no kitchen staff in gloves or mask, but they are in dirty clothes look like they slept on the beach. CDC this may be a Hot Spot

Very friendly and wonderful customer service driven staff. I am glad to be back home after spending 20-1/2 years in Oregon. Tasty food I havent seen in a long time. Thanks for the culinary treats of alligator and conch fritters. They are both yummy. You have to try these when stopping in this colorful establishment.

We came into this place for dinner. From the outside, it doesnt look like much, but appearances can be deceiving. Once we walked in, we were pleased to find that the space is a lot larger than it looks from the outside and had a great atmosphere. I tried to make a point to remember our servers name, but its slipped my mind. She was friendly and attentive throughout our meal and Ill definitely add it in an update if I recall it.My boyfriend and I chose to share a pizza steak which is a sliced steak sub with pizza sauce, pepperoni, mozzarella, plus you can add other pizza toppings. We added mushrooms. It comes with a side of fries. We also ordered chips and salsa as an appetizer.The chips and salsa were good. The salsa definitely seems to be made in house and had a nice kick to it. The pizza steak was really good and they even cut it in half and put it on separate baskets with fries for us which was a nice touch. Half was plenty for both of us and we both enjoyed it. Our friend ordered a burger and was happy with it as well. They were setting up for open mic night while we were there. It seems like it would be a fun place to hang around and have some drinks and there were other menu items that sounded good so Id definitely go back.

Would normally give this place 5 starts.My husband and I loved coming when we lived in Florida, so when we were visiting we had to make a stop by which was probably a year and a half since the last time.Husband was very happy with the shrimp tacos as always.I always get the giant house salad in the tortilla bowl BUT youve started frying the tortilla bowl?I never thought Id end with more grease on my plate ordering a salad than I would if I ordered a side of fries. The tortilla was literally dripping in grease.

My family and I were in Cocoa Beach for a week on summer vacation. We got tired of the tourist trap restaurants with overpriced mediocre food at the port and decided to see what else was available. We stopped by Sandbar for dinner and they kept us well fed the rest of the trip. Great atmosphere, great staff and awesome food and drinks. My personal favorite was the chicken nachos. Well priced authentic Cocoa Beach restaurant. See you guys again on our next trip to Florida!

I went to Sandbar on 8/29 for my 21st birthday. I had a party of 15, most of us on separate checks. We all ordered food and drinks. The food and drinks were delicious however the waitress gave us extra drinks that nobody order and refused to take them back so we drank them. When it came time to pay, the waitress messed up everyones ticket, gave us extra tickets we didnt even order( on top of the drinks that we didnt order). We tried to tell her but she told us someone has to pay it, and to top it off 3 of us got double charged. I messed up on not keeping my receipt so I could call them back and get a refund. Unfortunately I will not go back there.

Just another bar severing your basic lager beers...... Food is what to be expected. Best thing it has going is the location. Be prepared to sweat also.

I first came here in 2012 and have had an amazing experience every single time since. First of all you simply cannot come and enjoy Cocoa Beach without stopping by to try one of their hurricanes. Food is excellent and the gator tail and fish tacos should be the first things to try. Various specials and entertainment every night makes for a fun and festive environment. A must try establishment in Cocoa Beach.

Wow! Wow! Wow!! This place had all the typical draw of the well established beach bar. That beach smell, lots of memorabilia on the wall, large fruity drinks and patrons in bathing suits because it is right on Cocoa Beach. We were really hungry so we sat and ordered lunch. When the food came, it was AMAZING!! We ordered the fish tacos... which they are known for... and they were very tasty with a large piece of fish that cooked just right and fresh greens. One of us got the Seafood Stew in a bread bowl... Yummy! Another got a salad in a huge spinach taco shell with all fresh ingredients! We loved this find and will certainly visit again! YUM!!

Food was delicious and hot. My pizza was amazing and made by hand. I got the carnivore. We also ordered 2 of the 42 oz mega drinks with the keepsake glass...they were delicious. My wifes fish sandwich was ok...she ordered 2 buckets they were good and fruity.

Good food. Sometimes bands are a bit to loud to talk but the entertainment has always been good.

Great local place with amazing shrimp tacos. Live music many nights and out seating. Right off the beach. Best parking is across the street and free. I live about 30 to 40 mins away but go at least once a month. Took my sister, who was visiting, and she really enjoyed it.

Changing my review to 5 stars because we went twice on our 3 day vacay. The first time was out of this world delicious. We had our kids coming on the last day and wanted them to try a couple items we loved. Unfortunately they were out of the Calamari Fries and a few other entrees we tried to order. We love the atmosphere and the food is tasty. We will be back.

Catfish Po boy sandwich was really good. The fish was more than twice as big as bun. I had to get a box before trying to eat. Cut in half and still had hard time just eating half. It was really good, made my tummy happy, French fries great as well.

Lively and busy beach bar restaurant. Its an open air place so no indoor AC seating.A little pricey but you are right on the beach. Great beer selections. Pool table needs to be reconditioned. Its old and in bad condition. Missing a few balls.

Great food and great location. We parked in the lot across from the restaurant and were able to walk to the beach after lunch. Its a great spot to take a break and grab a drink. Food was not inexpensive but it was very good. They were accommodating for kids and had a good variety of kids meals. Drinks were cold and well portioned for the price, we made several trips back. We will definitely be back on our next beach visit.

Having left the beach, we were looking somewhere with more local flavor than settling for fast food with the kids.Sandbar was exactly what we needed! Great atmosphere that was like a big party that even the 8, 10, 11, and 13 year olds with us had fun and even did karaoke.The food was great too!

I gave it 1 star because I cant give it ZERO.Met at the door by a temp taker (no problem) and was told that I needed a mask to enter.2 people who were friends of the girl entered 1 second ahead of me with NO masks.Inside the bar NOBODY was wearing masks, of course, you cant drink and eat with a mask on.Ill never go back#HERD IMMUNITY#NO MASK

The host was not pleasant at all, didnt smile, wasnt friendly. Acted like she hated her job. We walked though and walked right back out. The cold welcoming definitely set the stage.

Ive been a local at this bar since 21 years old. Ive always loved the laid back vibes and being close to the beach. I remember having one of the best slices of pizza in town here when I was younger. I still to this day enjoy a slice of pepperoni and a cold beer. I would highly recommend stopping by Sandbar to come hang out with the locals

Our last night before we go back to North Carolina and we decided to come here. Peyton was super nice! Our food was great and came out super fast! :) totally recommend this place!

The Sandbar is the best. They have great food and beer at low prices. There are only 6 parking spots in the main lot. So if you go on the weekend from Presidents day to Memorial day it will cost you $10 to park in their lot across the street, but you can park there all day and have beach access. Great food and great, laid back atmosphere, however the staff really hustles for you. I have never liked fish tacos before, but the ones here were incredibly delicious. Just spicy enough but not too spicy. We tried all three. There was no overwhelming fish taste. It was incredible fish flavor.

Great spot to stop and eat! Nice atmosphere, good food, strong drinks! If you’re starving try the burrito challenge! It was HUGE very good but huge!

We loved this place! Great service, amazing food - I had the Mahi Tacos with Rice and Beans. The decor is so much fun to look at! So much to see. Such a fun place in Cocoa Beach - very happy we found it and will definitelybe back in the future!
