Very organized place with the current safety precautions. Friendly staff, beautiful place. Lots of things to keep every member on the family ocuppied. I encourage you to take a floatation device we didnt bring one since we didnt know. But its tons of fun worth the $19 admission per adult. No Alcohol allowed. Snack bar had great prices. They hit full capacity around 3pm from the time they open. If you want to use one of their grills and get a Picnic table. Basketball court, volleyball court, pool.

Best swimming hole in the area. Really cool rope swing, couple places top jump off platforms or rocks. Quarry water is glorious. Also has beach volleyball and a pretty good pool. Kind of pricey and can get crowded on weekends. If you get there early enough plenty of good picnic spots in the shade with grills.

The place is full of people, most of them dont have a mask. We were told that they have 500 people in there but there is plenty of space for swimming. When we went in we found that almost 2/3 of the quarry is designated no swimming area because they dont have lifeguards around those areas. So everyone who wants to swim is crammed together. At the end, we paid $20 each for no swimming. The place in itself is beautiful and would be fun if we were not in pandemic mode. Very dissapointing.

This place is ok considering nothing is open due to covid. The 2 pools they advertise are extremely small. There were about 15 people in the pool and they really did not have their own space. This place gets packed quick. I would hate to see it at 100% capacity. It is way overpriced! The staff was friendly and the lake was cool to swim in. Bring bug spray!

Price not too bad $18 per adult and $14 for child in the age of 6 to 11. There is a snack area where they also sell traditional American fast food. We bought some and it was delicious.

Just got kicked out because I was told I couldn’t swim The staff was rude only one guy was actually being nice about the situation then we were being escorted out all the way to the gate they wanted to call the cops because we started to ask questions on top of that they didn’t explain why I wasn’t allowed to no longer swim all I was told is if I can’t swim to the rocks and back then I had to get out and if I get back in without a life-vest then I’ll get kicked out honestly just Don’t go here it’s not worth it it cost way to much and at some point someone will get kicked out. I can swim but for them to skip to conclusions was wrong I didn’t have to prove anything to them because I was on the shallow end, meaning I could stand in the waterI was floating and walking around and got kicked out Without an explanation

Gotten kicked out because we didn’t have life jackets and then the problem escalated. Yes i get it you do it for safety concerns but I don’t understand why it wasn’t this strict a year ago I’ve swam with no issues from any lifeguard I wasn’t told to wear a life jacket in the past but today i was told to wear one even though i did what the lifeguards told me to do which was swim in the deep part of the water but i was told it wasn’t good enough apparently but 2 weeks ago no life guard was “Worried” about me so I don’t understand why today was so different. Maybe it’s because you guys don’t want another death in your property... i get it, it would look bad since someone died under your watch. I just want you guys to know there are better ways to deal with these issues, kicking someone out for not wearing a life jacket is ridiculous, but I understand.

Very racist people, they told us to all swim all the way to the deep and stay afloat for 3 mins to see if we allCould swim. What kind of people do that on top of that they charge for entrance $20 and life jackets if they decide you can’t swim. Because they don’t believe you can swim if you can do what they ask. No person should go through that embarrassing seen. If I could I would give no stars. And management was rude and no help at all.

We went as a group for the first time yesterday for Labor Day. The lines were LONG! But I expected that considering it was a holiday. It took about 45 minutes to get in and once we found a spot, we were okay. The pool and the dam was pretty clean. However, my ONLY complain was the bathroom by the bigger swimming pool. It was GROSS! It was only 1pm and the toilet paper piled up very high. For the price that is being paid, I believe they should have someone cleaning that a bit more frequently, specially on the holidays. Also, can they open a little earlier since 11am is extremely late We enjoyed it overall and not once did we feel discriminated by the workers there.

Honestly almost didn’t visit because of all the horrible reviews ! BUT decided to take a chance since there were also some good ones. Only wish adults were maybe $15 instead of $18 & kids $10 instead of $14. So it’s a bit pricey especially since the kids won’t really get into the lake. Heck, I didn’t get into the lake area since I didn’t know it was so deep and doesn’t have any shallow areas. We also didn’t bring any food to throw on the grill, wish we had . Other than that great place ! What can you expect about restrooms/showers? They’re as clean as they can be for a place with sand etc. Don’t know where all the racist comments/reviews came from.

Well the showers are horrible because you have to hold it the whole time you shower and it is not automatic, as well the door in the second stall does not lock so you have to be holding it while showering. Lastly for the bathroom topic is that the showers are very high up so it would be a challenge for the shorter visitors. But overall I enjoyed the pools and lake very enjoyable yet the water was full of dirt and bugs in the shallow end which is unsanitary to all the younger kids. Also life guards did not pay attention to the people as much. They simply just did was tell people to stop laying on the rope or to not throw water on them. They were also on there phones while on duty. Now here is my honest response to them and hope they make some changes to there bathrooms and life guards.

August 2018Cool quarry. Fun for the kids. However, after watching numerous female life guards peeing off the ladders, I doubt we will return. This is behavior expected from children, but to see the adults doing so on a regular basis makes me wonder about the cleanliness of the place. The life guard told me that was what she was doing. There are bathrooms there. It’s a quarry, not the ocean! Just gross.

Review №42

This an ok place for a family picnic. However, I found it rather over priced for what is offered. The multiple pools description on their online information is really exactly 2 pools. One of them is very small, both are over crowded by mid morning. If you are planning on not getting hit, splashed on,or pushed by children. The pools are not the place for you. If you would like hot shower after swimming , this is also not not the place for you. Both of the only two stalls in the womens changing room had doors that would not close. The quarry is very nice IF you are a good swimmer. Sevral places to jump from and plenty of space to swim around and sun bade. Scenery is great too. Nice place for older, great swimmers or again for a family pinic. For most a trip to national park would bring more or same amount of amenities for FAR less money.

They told me I couldnt swim because I was a little nervous about jumping down into the water and swam fine until a lifegaured came to tell me you cant swim, you need to wear a life vest I confronted the owner & told her it was unreasonable because I was swimming just fine, just a little nervous towards a plunge. I have always been nervous of heights and everytime I make it with a good jump I feel good about myself and they took it as me not being able to swim just because I looked a little nervous. Dont go here. I was only there for 15 minutes and swam for 5.

The place is amazing but the staff only cares about the money. A couple weekends ago I went with my family and paid almost $100 to get into the park. When we unload are items to our surprise the water was closed. I went to speak to the office and asked for a refund or a credit to go back another day due to not been made aware that the water was closed prior to paying to get into the park. The gentleman asked me if I checked the weather before I went and I told him I did and it wasnt suppose to rain until around 6pm with a 30% change(it was only about 12-1pm) I told the office why was I not made aware that the water was closed at the gate. I didnt drive almost one hour just to sit at a bench. They refuse to do either or. This clearly shows that they only care about the money even when their staff due wrong. Not to mention my son almost got run my a vehicle who was coming down the hill at about 50miles per hour.

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE A WOMAN OR A PERSON OF COLOR. If I could press charges against this place, I would. They have individuals, such as Mark and another similar looking man, who walk around claiming that people reported you having alcohol. This is their way of asking to illegally search through your possessions. Even though we were just playing cards, they did this to our group, and once they realized we did not have alcohol, they asked to search through our purses to continue looking. They police the premises all day, using the exact same line. Never before have I felt so uncomfortable, harrassed and violated at a business. It is unbelievable for this place to build a relationship of distrust with its customers. Additionally, they wanted us to leave our belongings (wallets, keys, etc.) unattended. DO NOT PAY $15 TO BE HARRASSED. YOU ARE NOT A PERSON HERE. THEY SEE YOU AS A CRIMINAL. I will never go again, and I encourage every female to do the same. Men asking to go through your purses and clothing without cause? Seriously?
