Looking to go for a hike in the woods? This is the place. Go to the Nature Center first & pick up a trail map. Lots of trails of varying lengths. One takes you past the old ski hill at Oregon Ridge. Beautiful place to hike, 5 minutes from the Hunt Valley Towne Center. And theyve added lots of picnic tables making it a great getaway at lunchtime.

Beautiful park with great trails and scenic views. Only had time for the overlook trail which is the shortest but still provides great views and can be done by beginners although it is quite steep. If you have the time and energy definitely continue on to other trails (youll see a map at the top of Overlook trail) lf you do continue onward you will come across a lake which I imagine would be quite worth the effort. Definitely recommend this place a visit!

Took the family for a quick hike and to see the nature center. The kids (2 and 4) had a blast running around and looking at all the cool stuff in the nature center. Everyone was doing a good job with the social distancing too. And, we saw this guy hanging out in the frog pen...

Nice park with trails and kids playing area but I want to warn first timers taking the trail. The trails are not properly marked, like what trails, distance. There is no proper map and there is always a sense that you are lost. The only things marked are trees with red and white markings. Very nice trails but it could have been so much better with proper trail markings and maps. Even online park information doesnt provide much information about the different trails, distance and difficulty (easy, moderate). Amazing potential but needs few vital informations for visitors.

Beautiful clean park with a bunch of trails. They are very long and can take a very long time depending on your skill level. I love how varied the terrain is and the little lake at the opposite end of the park is beautiful. It’s one of my favs on my rotation.

I got about 5 miles of hiking up, down, in and around gorgeous trees, streams, and a small pretty lake. Two of the stream crossings required creative hopscotching that might be too much for the very young or old to make without falling in (though the water wasn’t dangerously deep.) Trails could be marked better.

This place is a hidden gem. It has a play area right by the pool (oregon pool) and a small trail for hiking. Weekdays are the best to visit this park considering the current covid situation. We barely see anyone during the weekday evenings.

Typically, we have nothing but good things to say about Oregon Ridge Park, but this review is more of a warning than a review of the park and facilities. We had made a reservation for a family gathering to take place in August. 2 Days after making the reservation, the consensus of the family was to postpone the gathering following Gov Hogans speech about the increase in covid cases due to family gatherings. Oregon Ridge reimbursed the deposit but held $100. I understand there is company policy to follow, but due to circumstances out of our control, we would have thought in good faith they would have reimbursed the full deposit amount as we were just under the required 30 day cancellation time frame. Please be very cautious about making reservations at the park unless your 100% sure you will follow through!

This is an awesome place to get outside for a while and enjoy nature. There are multiple trails to try out, none of which are very long so you could try them all in a few hours. They have an awesome, and free, nature center that is full of exhibits and animals to check out! They also have a playground, covered pavilion and plenty of free parking. Definitely check this park out if you are looking for some fresh air on a nice day.

This is a nice park for anyone interested in a decent hike. Easy/intermediate trails with nice views of the lake and surrounding forests. Some of the maps can seem a bit faded, and the red trail looks a bit orange. Also, some of the blazes on the orange trail are also yellow. Overall, very nice; well be back again!

The playground has a lot of space and equipment for many kids to enjoy. There are several picnic tables and beches located in the playground area - you can eat and play. My kids always love going to this playground. There is usually plenty of other kids of various ages to play with. The families there always seem friendly. There is a ton of parking spots and restrooms to use also. And, if you feel like a hike, there are several trail options as well. It is pet friendly, so dont forget to bring the pup with you!

My favorite local park. Little bit of history, lots of nature, and lots of trails to hike.Edit: I dont want to elaborate so that I dont out myself too much, but I had a negative experience with the staff here. They were abrasive, thick-skulled, and spoke with an unnecessary I know what I have attitude despite me being a lifelong nature lover and fully understanding human ecological impact. There are better parks where the staff are open to natural studies, so my yearly donations will go elsewhere.

We arrived and set up our area just in time, 5;30 PM, for the down pour of rain that did not end until well after 7:10 PM. My wife and I took refuge in an unused Porta Potty but not until we were totally drenched. We stayed to meet our friends, eat food, reset up our area with chairs, listen to the great music, and watched the Really Nice sky display fireworks event. By the time we get to our car, we were 2/3s dry for the drive home.Well be there next year!!!!

This is a wonderful place to visit especially with small children. The playground was well kept and large. The slides are a little unusual and ho hum really, but they do have swings. Its nice that the playground is large enough for smaller kids to run around on without running into an obstacle that is too advanced, i.e. a swing bridge or something. They have a variety of slides, swings, monkey bars (off to the side), and plenty of ladders/climbing apparatus. They also have a smaller playground off to the side making it appropriate for all ages.
