I love this park. We live near it. The trail to go to it is pretty net. The lake is huge. Nice to fish. You also have access to the river and you can also launch boat directly to the Colorado.

This was my first experience camping, and it was extraordinary. Im so grateful to Nikki the park attendant on (05/15) who took her time to assist me to understand my options and how to navigate camping in Colorado during COVID-19. I Though we wouldnt be able to camp that weekend but she made it possible. Very dedicated knowledgeable individual

Nice little park where one can fish in the lake or in the Colorado River. The riverfront bike trail also runs into the park. The riverfront trail runs all the way to Fruita Colorado.

This is our favorite place to Camp locally! We are counting down for spring.Island acres is always our first camping trip of the season and we are never disappointed. We love this Campground rain or shine! Theres plenty of walking paths and plenty of room to ride our bikes. In The heat of Summer our favorite thing to do is play in the river! The ponds are also a great place to paddleboard or fish. If I never traveled outside of Colorado there are plenty of places to vacation for the rest of my life and this is one of our favorite places!

Nice park albeit a bit small. Its on the edge of town so is not very secluded and missing the views of other parks. However the facilities are nice and modern so this is a great place for a day of fun or picnics with the family.

Worth buying a pass so that youre not nickel and dimed to death when visiting more than once. Lots of places to fish/enjoy the water. Areas for relaxation with restrooms and walking paths that can be enjoyed by all ages.

As usual it was a very nice experience shared with the wife and a new member of the family, we adopted a black lab mix last weekend and it seems she very much liked it as much as we did. Partly cloudy but plenty of sunshine, a beautiful day to be sure. You do need a state sticker to park. Ranger station on premises.

We absolutely love this park! It is so beautiful and peaceful! We take our dog there to get some exercise for all three of us. Our dog has seizures and needs to be able to get his adrenaline going so he doesnt have them so much. We are so grateful that this park is there.

Price increases are too much. Even the senior fishing is up 80%. Dont go to a state park often enough to justify the increase of a pass.

We walk the trail every night and are so thankful for this park. Ive lived most of my life in the Valley and it brought tears to my eyes when I was able to walk the trail and see the River, the tamarisk and russian olive removal is wonderful, I love that little bug and the folks that clean up the dead wood! Thank you. (What are the chances the garage/warehouse/eyesore gets moved to another site and let us see the Mesa? It would be nice) Wishful thinking.

A turquoise-blue stream wound its merry way through the forest. Babbling and burbling, it sprung over the limestone rocks in its way. Pebbles whisked about in the under wash like pieces of glitter. Streams are the liquid soul of the forest, and this one was glowing.
