My daughter took classes here when she was in her teens. Her experience was nothing short of wonderful. What impressed me most was that the atmosphere was warm and inviting yet demanding and professional. To have real professional actors as teachers and a professional dancer as a choreographer is not something easily found on this side of the Hudson. The summer teen workshop culminating in performances in Manhattan was well worth it in every possible way and truly showcased everyone’s talents.The television soap opera “The Conservatory” was very well-done, and taught the students so much about performing for the camera. I have recommended ATC to many others over the years and have heard only positive feedback.

I have never attended a class at the Studio but I have attended their Shakespeare at the Castle performances for several years now. They keep getting better and better.ATC puts on a very professional show, but in an intimate way that really allows you to connect. I highly recommend their performances.

I took the Intro to Acting class, and was pleasantly surprised. I had zero experience and felt very nervous, but the instructor made me feel comfortable, and I learned a great deal. I am not seeking any kind of career in acting, but just wanted to learn. This is a good spot for learning by novices and pros alike.

Ive been associated with ATC Studios for several years now. I have been in some of their main stage productions and have attended some of their classes. They are a top notch organization that is dedicated to providing interested persons with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue engagement in the performing arts.The staff is terrific and the members and attendees become part of a family.

Over the years, the various productions I have seen presented by ACT Studios have always been well cast, thoroughly prepared and directed with expertise so that the audience is treated to a quality theater experience. Diverse casts are appreciated by all and clever staging makes the best use of minimal space in the different venues. Always enjoy going!

I havent taken any classes only because I live in Vermont. Since the end of March 2020 Ive been joining in on the Friday night Zoom gatherings. The quality of everything Ive seen is amazing and everyone is so professional and friendly. Now that theyre offering on-line classes I may just become a student after allKathy Alarie

I have seen them do a performance. Their students show the happy result of a good program. In my case, I saw them do Shakespeare - their students are a credit to the program.

I took playwriting class with Michael Susko and learned so much. I went from never writing a play to completing 4 scenes for a full length play. The zoom virtual format really lends itself to a writing class.

Had a wonderful experience at ATC. The staff is knowledable and supportive. You are encouraged to grow and challenged to step outside of your comfort zone.

My son has had a great time at this place, and they’ve adapted smoothly to online learning and have already put out a show using zoom! 10/10 would recommend!

Great company all around very professional!

I had a hiatus from Improv for a few years and I was ecstatic to find a place in North Jersey that taught various acting classes. I originally went to ATC studios specifically for the Improv classes but decided to take classes such as Intro to Acting, Monologue Study, and Voice Acting. The skills I learned in those classes helped me improve on my body language, tone, being able to project my voice, and how to think about setting up a scene. There are great teachers and student at ATC; you wont regret taking courses here if you are interested in acting or just want to find ways to improve your communication skills or confidence.

I took an introduction class to acting and I had a great experience working with the owner of the studio and the instructor with the group of people who signed up for the class. I loved the playful, interactive challenge of inspired creativity and quick thinking while being in the flow... I highly recommend this class for beginners and those who want to add back in some inspired energy working in the flow ...with a group of multi level actors in individual, group and one on one activities.

I started acting in community theater as a mature (some might quibble with that particular adjective) adult. Im glad that my first experience was with Kathleen and the staff at ATC. I found them all welcoming and helpful in finding a voice in the theater. Now, about 12 years and about 25 shows later, I still find the background and early experience I got through ATC to be invaluable.If youre considering dipping your toe into acting, no matter your age, I would highly recommend ATC Studios!

My son really loved the Tween classes. The only reason he stopped attending is because we moved out of state. Now that we are returning to the area in a few weeks he will join again and maybe I will try some classes too!

ATC Studios was my first drama school which built the foundation for my training and love for the craft of acting. They are and always will be invaluable to me. Learning from all the gifted, amazing teachers, each giving new insight and perspective while all maintaining a patient yet stern hand to push and further myself as an actor and human being. Top notch acting training in New Jersey for reasonable prices! Kathleen, Maren, Javier, and all the other teachers are incredible at what they do and made me fall in love with theatre. There are comprehensive classes for all ages and experience levels. Its a safe space to take risks, work in a deep way, and join a community of like-minded artists who lift each other up!

I’ve been a student for a couple of years now at ATC studios, starting the curriculum with “Intro to Acting” and now I’m taking advanced courses. I enjoy the workshop-atmosphere where questions can be asked and feelings shared. There is a great and positive sense of community among the students.The studio holds a monthly open discussion/networking opportunity (ATC’s “The Shack”) where you can meet and interact with studio members you may not have taken any classes with previously.As I expand my acting resume and develop my own personal industry network by working on TV and films in NYC and NJ, I’m pleased to say that Ive discovered that ATC has a wonderful reputation (on both sides of the Hudson River) as an acting school Acting lessons here help you develop your technique, but the school is also a good one to have on your resume.

ATC Studios is the place you will want to go whether it’s your first time or for continuing maintenance.The founder Kathleen welcomes you and makes you feel at home, not only Do you learn, but you will also have opportunities to perform in shows, and will be alerted for opportunities for auditions on the outside.Cannot begin to tell you the thrill of performing under the direction of Kathleen.. she is so professional and runs rehearsals in such a manner that you cannot wait for opening .. an experience for all those who love the stage or need fun in their lives

I AM biased (being one of the original students) BUT, you WONT find a BETTER Acting School (thats NOT in NYC) - They dont teach you The Method, they teach you ALL the methods & encourage & support you AFTER the classes are over (30 yrs & counting)!

My girls, 5 & 9 at the time attended last year, mid to end of season. They had the most amazing time and met some pretty awesome people along the way and learned a lot.The teachers are wonderful and knowledgeable and so patient with all the kids.They are allowed to be expressive and have voices.So glad we found ATC & we’re already signed up for this year!

A representative from ATC came to PCTI to gave a presentation to our Performing Arts students. They did an amazing job sharing their experiences and Advising the students for their future in the field of entertainment. The students are looking forward to their return giving performance master classes.

Intro to Improv was my first experience with any sort of acting as well as with ATC Studios. IT. WAS. EXCEPTIONAL.My instructor was Dreena. Dreena is a knowledgable, creative, and patient teacher. She embraced our learning and cultivated a family out of our class. We classmates are still keeping in touch and cannot wait for Improv Level 2. We have gone to some local improv shows as a group and look forward to refining this new craft.Most of our class (14 students) was there to develop confidence and quick thinking skills, not necessarily acting skills. We saw each other blossom and become more comfortable in being in the now. I recommend this class and ATC Studios to everyone and anyone looking to be a better version of themselves, regardless of their career!

I apologize for not providing my feedback sooner. I love ATC! Ive taken an IMPROV 2 class nearly two summers ago taught by Ryan Huban. He is the best and I would highly recommend ATC to other aspiring actors.

Teachers and curriculum are the best. You dont need to go all the way to NYC to get NYC training, just go to ATC STUDIOS!
