Trying to do my part to get our economy moving again and enjoying a good movie in the process. We ordered our tickets and bought our snacks online, when we arrived, we showed our phones with the sku numbers to go inside and get our snacks. Theyve done a great job at making sure people barely have to touch anything or speak much to employees. I would say Im much less likely to catch covid than when I go to my local supermarket. Theyve done a great job. We all need to support our local businesses so we can get through this, especially the ones that are taking the proper steps to keep us safe.

I love my first time going there. I would compare it to going to Bow Tie Cinemas in South Orange. Would recommend. Would go again.

Ive been going to this movie theater for some time now. The staff is polite, its always clean and theres plenty of parking. The Dolby Cinema experience is worth the money IMO.

Nice comfortable seats and good sized auditoriums to view the films.Due to The Pandemic the hot foods are limited. So no pretzel bites.

It was great to see that this AMC has upgraded to recliner seats. Watched TENET in Dolby digital. Would be a great experience for the returning movie goers after a 6 months of lockdown.

Really friendly and helpful staff! Had PPE available at ticketing for guests. Theaters are incredibly clean.

Empty theater, great sound and seats, should ditch the hand dryers for paper towels though.

We always have a great time at AMC. I take May family on Tuesdays to take advantage of the discounts. As a single mom on a budget, and a member of the Stubs Premiere Program, the small cost for the membership has an immediate ROI when my family of 5 goes to a movie and we don’t have to pay online ticket fees. The concession upgrades are great too and I look forward my birthday gift every year.

I attended a screening yesterday with my daughter and her friends. A young man seated in front of us proceeded to talk, shout, laugh and use his phone for the duration of the movie. I asked him politely to stop. He did not. When I went to the customer service desk to ask for assistance dealing with this, the man working turned to another guy and said oh I think I know who that is. Then he asked two teenage employees who were sweeping up to go and talk to the man and tell him to be quiet. No one asked to verify if the man had a ticket for the show he was seated in. No one removed him. They promptly left and again he kept up his antics. At the end of the show he confronted me. I do not think the staff handled this well at all. If this is a common occurrence at the theater and this man is a known entity, shame on them for handling it so poorly. I will not be back.

Its really freezing in the theater so bring winter gear. Also the sound is uncomfortably and defeaningly loud. Maybe just watch a movie at home.

Imax movie was so loud we left after 5min, no refunds.

This AMC is outdated and has nothing special to offer,for a quick 12 minute drive the Showplace in Secaucus is such a better and cleaner experience. (Plus free refills on popcorn and beverages) Even the Essex Green in West Orange is a more enjoyable experience. Unless you are in high school, dont bother with this theatre.

Went to see a movie and I had the whole theater to myself..

As AMC theatre’s go this one is substandard. From the parking to the ticket lobby to the concessions to the seating to the sound to the screen quality to the restroom; the whole thing is a mess!Parking; tight spacing, never salted on time when it snows/ices & its a subtle rise the further from the door you go, so slipping is a concern.Lobby; The lobby is a slow moving torment even if just a few people are ahead of you because it’s always understaffed. Buy your tickets ahead, if you’re not a member you’ll pay a convenience fee. Since they charge for that there’s no incentive to staff the lobby better.Concessions; better not want buttered popcorn or you’ll have to hike half a bucket to the end of the concession stand add butter, return to the server to add more popcorn then go back and add butter on the top layer. If the goal of taking away the servers ability to add butter was to save line time, they’ve failed!Seating; Most of the seating is fine, however there are a few screen rooms where, if you’re on a far side you simply cannot see over the head of the person in front of you because the screen is set too low to the floor. If the seating grade was set higher you’d be okay. In this place they appear to have said ‘enh it’s good enough’. Some of the first row seats are so close to the screen that it’s impossible to see the movie properly from such an angle.Sound; two movies, two different rooms and several speakers either couldn’t handle the sound or were broken.Screens; Seem dirty and old. The image clarity was poor during Star Wars and Avengers.Restrooms; Never clean enough, never stocked enough and the dispensers don’t even work sometimes and go months without repair.Unless you’re desperate, go elsewhere to see a movie and leave this one out of your plans until someone improves place substantially.

Someone was sitting in our seats. We just sat in the row in front of our seats. It wasnt a packed theater. Besides that the curly fries came in a small box and most of them were well done(hard and dry) for $5.99.

This place used to be THE place to see a movie. But the last time we went, it was almost sad. The floors were messy even in the lobby, the chairs were’t very comfortable.... It just needs a good update. Reclining chairs, new carpeting, new decor, updated restrooms — and a staff that cares enough to keep it all up!

This is our favorite movie theater. It has a lot of parking. It is easy to get in and the popcorn line goes fast. And I like the theaters there. I had such a good time that I look forward to going back soon.

Great place to see a movie. Lots of parking but its shared with the NJ Transit Park and Ride during the weekdays. Soda fountain machines are self serve. Ticket kiosk is very convenient without waiting in line. Like any theater the tickets and food are expensive. This theater is clean and well kept. Bathrooms were clean as well.

I love this theater so much more then Jersey Gardens. Jersey Gardens AMC theater has gotten worse over the years. Jersey Garden will always have a special place in my heart due to the design of the theater.Clifton Commons AMC is clean the staff is friendly. Recently our cards have been messing up and the staff is always there to help and resolve the issues no matter what the issue is. The design is simple no amazing lights or displays.

Great place to watch new movies. Only wish they would update their seats. Other theaters are already using leather recliners with tables.

Saw Frozen II great movie but disappointed with the old fashion seats. Im surprised they didnt upgrade yet #Room5.... popcorn was delicious

I went to go see IT Two and the graphics and sound were great. The employees could have listened better, we had to repeat our simple popcorn order multiple times. As always that cleanliness should have been much better

Lines were not too long for ordering food. Its better to have an AMC Stubs membership so you can move to the other V.I.P. line and get you things faster. Nice, clean and cool little arcade area to spend time to play before watching a movie if you arrive a little early.

Excellent theater to catch a movie. This theater has gotten better with age and is well staffed and rarely has long lines. This is my go-to for first dates so its gotten plenty of repeat action over the years. There is an Applebees next door so we like to pregame there and get our drink on before walking over to the movie.

Clifton AMC has gotten a lot better. I stopped awhile back due to so many fights and cars getting hit or broken into. I didn’t feel safe going there without the thought of something happening to my car while watching a movie. It happened to me and called requesting surveillance and told there were none. I’ve been back a couple of times now and is very pleased with the changes.

Nice movie theater, been coming here since I was a kid. Weekends are intense because of the amount of people, but theyve got a nice cinema with all recent technological advances and their food service is insane. They have everything. Would have given 5 stars but didnt because some of the theaters gave super small, cramped seating. Makes it almost unbearable to finish a movie. Other than that, great place.

2nd time this happens we order tickets online with an order of popcorn and a drink. When we get to the movie theater the online pickup the popcorn and drink is never ready on the shelf to be picked up.. we always have to wait for the popcorn.. So what is the point of having the online pick. Or my suggestion is to hire more people who need jobs out there ..or hire someonewith a disability. That needs social skills.

Wish they had more of the signature AMC recliner seats, but still it is situated at a very suitable location and their Dolby Cinemas is awesome.

The bathroom around theaters 1-8 is old and needs a remodel. Otherwise if you have AMC A-List its great to come here for IMAX and Dolby. Overpriced food like always, dont even bother ordering food at theaters.

We went to see Star WRs, open caption for the Deaf. I just cannot understand why this couldnt be in Dolby surround sound as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful.I just wish with all the technology we have today why open caption experience is still sub par.

Took my kids to see Aladdin on a Sunday morning. The staff have zero customer service skills. The girl who took our tickets looked as if we were interrupting her day. The boy at the concession stand cut me off mid question and seemed bothered to take our order. The floor underneath the drink machines was filthy and sticky. They were out of ALL of the juices that we wanted. The seats were so uncomfortable. I will not be coming back here. Would rather drive farther for better seats, customer service, and cleanliness.

This AMC theater has improved a bit. But I feel like it needs a bit more. The seats are still the standard set. They have notInstalled the recliners that others theaters have. But overall, not bad.

It was an incredible experience! I gonna continue going for more entertainment and fun...

Love this movie theater every since my son took me out toward mother Day .i swear we ate at the restaurant cause they have like Apple bees. Ruby Tuesday few other it was a great experience special with my son being my date..very spacious clean they even have they own menu why you watching the movies you can place your order for appetizers drinks or just something lite to snack on...loved it if i could it would be more then 5

Expensive on a regular weeknight. Tuesdays its 5 bucks a movie as long as you have a membership to the free rewards program. Good location but gets pretty packed

The place is not well maintained what so ever. They need a better cleaning crew to really clean. Only went here because of the convenience with the showtimes as my preferred location didnt have earlier times.

Great movie theater, very clean. Staff was very nice and attentive. Popcorn was fresh and drink machines are very new with a ton of drink choices. The seats are comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and have air blades hand dryers which my little guy thought were really cool. This is our theater of choice.

I came here only one time, in auditorium #6. The seats are standard type, which do not recline. The movie volume in the theater was a little to high, seemed slightly higher than other theaters, and most of the sound came from the front, lacking a surround sound experience.

Its a pretty good experience. Just okay! In favor of the soda stations. Meaning no people to help you. I like the humans be serving the soda versus the machines. And I wish they would have more Cinemas that have the relaxing chairs

I enjoy the shows there but I cannot sit in their seats. They are too low and too small. So I take my rollator and I sit on that in the handicap spot. I love that they offer specialty shows and operas. Most theaters do not offer these and I enjoy them.

The seats were excellent, nice, comfortable recliners. My only comments. Re the theater is that there is no handrail in the aisle and I felt it should have been better lit going into the seat area.

Plenty of parking. The concession stand is huge. In the theaters are overall very nice. The only thing Ill say about this place in a negative aspect is it could be kept cleaner floors are always very sticky but I guess its to be expected in a movie theater.

Horrible experience! Miserable employees especially one older woman who wanted to argue over seating arrangements in a empty theater! If you hate your job dont work there! Theaters were great , enjoyable time, however the service was very judgemental when asking a simple request of making change for a game the request was called as suspicious which was very odd to hear being that since we are paid customers

I dont mind this particular theater. What I do mind are the seats they are the most uncomfortable seats in the history of the world. They seem like theyve been there since the turn of last century. But otherwise its not a bad theater.

Always a pleasant place to go see a movie. I love their monthly membership... fantastic value and great benefits. I love the IMAX screens and the 3D movies I have seen. The concessions are ridiculously overpriced, but that goes with any movie theater. At least with being a Stubs member you get 10% back in rewards so it offsets the cost. Definitely recommend going here. Free refills on any beverage too!

The theater was nice and the movie was excellent. Enjoyed the whole experience.

I feel that this movie theater is a great one, but not since my last visit. I was using my phone flashlight because i dropped my glasses in between the seats. I shined my flashlight at the seat 1 or 2 times and then my friend and i see this young employee come up to us and he said girls we are getting complaints about you using your phone. We don’t want to have to ask you to leave he says. So just stay off your phones. My friends and i said ok. Getting called out ruined my friend and I”s movie experience. I couldn’t even enjoy the rest of the movie. Getting called out like that is ridiculous and un ethical. My friend and I were only on our phones for a second, and we were just looking for my glasses that fell and this is what we get.

The soda tastes like a cheap soda and not Coca Cola.

Its a pretty good movie theater in general but THE SEATS SUCK!!! You cant really sit comfortably with your date. And the other AMC movie theaters I went to have all reclining comfort chairs with heat! The cashiers were pretty quick and very friendly and very patient with me bc I was digging for 2 pennies that was at the bottom of my purse . we didnt want to wait in line for the snacks though. That line was way longer than the movie line and we only had 10 min to get to our seats after buying the tickets. So waiting in that snack line would have made us late. The ladies bathroom was freaking gross! There was piss all over most of the toilet seats. And the paper towel machine to dry your hands with only gave me like 3 inches of towel per motion detected. So to me the only great experience I had was the movie itself, John Wick 3.

This place is the best to see movies. I watched several movies here ever since I moved to Belleville, NJ!They have many cold drinks and food, such as POPCORN! All movie theaters MUST have popcorn!! Especially if they have BUTTER POPCORN

When its quiet it can be very pleasant however I have been here on times when a blockbuster movie comes out. Thats when you do not want to be here. It is pure NJ ghetto chaos.My friend and I asked management to get our money back to leave the over crowded environment for our safety. We really felt it was dangerous. They need couple of police there during grand opening of new movies.Management understood our position and gave us another tickets good for any day. We gladly left and will come back on quieter times. Thank goodness.

Theatre is fine. The issue I had was the large popcorn being entirely too SALTY. We had to stop eating it. There was enough salt to salt the roads from our latest snowfall! The medium popcorn wasnt salty. Just the large. I guess this is their way of getting folks to purchase drinks. Dry them the hell out and theyll have to buy something to drink. We see you AMC.

I went to see Joker at this theatre. It was the only theatre that had available seats at that time. Stay away from IMAX 2D theatre the seats are not stadium and for a long movie, it can be cramped and tight. The concession stand lines are extremely long and slow-moving. I was online for 25 minutes for popcorn and water. Stay away.

It was clean. They offered some good snacks and food and the IMax experience was great.

The seats here have no bounce back nor an inch of incline . At least the padding isn’t as stiff.Posted pictures of theater #2 which has a pretty small screen.The Dolby atmos is in theater #8 (shown in some of the pictures).The theater is not crowded earlier in the weekday, however it is jam packed on the weekends.. inside and outside in the parking lot.You will often find a police car out front during peak times.I prefer the Garden State Plaza (GSP) AMC over this one for the comfortable seats, larger screen size, and less of a teenaged crowd outside of the summer holidays.That said, the tickets here are a few dollars less than the GSP AMC.If you found this review helpful or you enjoy clicking on things.. The theatre is nice, but lacked the new reclining seat that are offered at other venues. It took a while to get the food we ordered at concessions and a few people people in the theatre were rude and disruptive during the film.

I was in theater 13 the seats are soooo uncomfortable and there is absolutely no leg room. It was worst than spirit airlines...my back literally hurts but the movie was good.

Did not want to give the one star, place is dirty, it needs a good scrubbing. Took my grandchildren and asked to please lower the volume, as it was way too loud and it scared my babies. It was even too loud for me. It was the loudest of all the theaters... all had their doors open and #13 drowned out the rest of the theaters. Also, several of the bathroom sinks did not have running water.

ITS always overcrowded and never clean. The concession area is always wet and sticky. Most of the staff are young teenagers with no sense of customer service. The theater is pretty cold as well. I only go here as a last resort when all surrounding theaters are booked up. Just my experience from the 2 or 3 times Ive been.

The consession system is horrible. The lack of personal touch to customer service is glaring and prices are outrageous...behind the food counters are dirty broken cabinets...just overall not a great experience...the movie was pretty good but that was really a side note.

The seats were comfortable but theres not enough leg room for me and Im 6.2

Your slightly above average highway movie mill. Overpriced, crowded but comfortable, clean, good sight lines, good sound and good parking.

The self serve kiosks cant be used with gift cards on the AMC app. Instead you can wait in the line as one person on ticket duty slowly works through the crowd.

Love this place. Be A List Person. It will save you money, if you are a movie person.

Seats are old, as is most else in this theater. The seats are in stadium seating form, which is nice, but still cramped. The screens are small, the sound is subpar. Staff is what you would expect from a movie theater, kids who dont really care much about service; its understandable, but with everything else, I would much rather recommend a theater like Wayne 14.

The cinema for the most part is okay. Im not sure if it has been renovated but it was a little dated last time I went. The chairs were a bit tight compared to other theatres. Also, the parking situation here can be awful though the lot is huge.

Nice staff and butter at will sanitizers at the entrances of bathrooms. Arcade thats fully stocked to entertaim for 30-1hr before a movie. Hope this helps! Not bad of a plaza, has a TGIF as well!

The dolby theater was great but the line to the concession stand was ridiculous. Maybe they should take away some beverage machines and add more cashiers.
