Great place to shop for anything aquariums related. Staffed with very knowledgeable employees that can answer just about any question. Have been shopping here for years and will continue to do so in the future. Big box pet stores pale in comparison in the quality and selection of both salt and fresh water fish and crustaceans.

Friendly staff, very helpful. They follow social distancing rules very strictly, so it might be a little while before you are able to get in (15 customers inside at a given time) so get there early. Great resource for both saltwater and freshwater enthusiasts. Can find almost anything for your tanks: fish, filters, plants, substrate, accessories and much more. Highly recommended.

Traveled nearly 100 miles to obtain hard to find freshwater fish. The facility is large capacity fresh & salt water fish. Lots of medicines & water treatments to choose from as well as aquarium accessories, stones, & aquarium necessities. Aquariums were clean with wide variety of healthy, colorful, unusual choices.Fish vary in price & size. Staff is friendly & would recommend for the beginner to the experienced.

The staff here is GREAT & friendly, I drive about 45 minutes to shop here. JESSICA helped me pick out some cichlids. While I did some research on what I wanted, I saw other fish I was interested in but didnt know enough about- Jessica was able to let me know more about them, which I then bought :)They have a large selection of freshwater fish, saltwater fish, decorations, chemicals,food and anything you need. Prices are more than fair on the fish! They have different sizes as well.I will update with pictures on my next visit. Already been here a few times, each great experience

This place has got it all, amazing place and staff. I went there for a few plants and ended up asking a million questions, but the gentleman (young kid, I am so bad with names, so sorry I cant even give him the props he deserves) who helped me out answered each one and with out hesitation. He had his ducks in a row, excellent and friendly customer service and knowledgeable staff. I am 30 minutes away from here but I think I found my go to aquarium shop, its worth it. Absolutely Fish is an amazing place to be! The staff is always helpful and extremely knowledgeable with whatever area of aquatics youre interested in. They always have an abundance of fish in stock all displayed in beautiful tanks. Theres an endless amount of fish tank accessories ranging from filters and medium to decor and live plants. As you can see in the pictures Ive provided I have gotten three beautiful HEALTHY fish from the store that still flourish in my tank today. Along with some plants newly bought to add to the tank! Us being newbies, he took the time to explain every fish to us and answer all of our questions (just about EVERY freshwater fish they have). It is over an hour drive from my house but well worth it. All of the fish seem very healthy and well cared for.

Searched everywhere for a Jack Demsey and this is the only place that had 2 left, they we’re kind enough to hold one for me until next day, I ended up buying 2 other fish. I so recommend this place if you’re looking for some nice exotic fish.

I came in worried about a case of ich I had. I did some research prior and thought I knew how to tackle the problem given that I have invertebrates in the tank but, I asked their opinion anyway. They could have let me walk out of there with the more expensive items I had me but they recommend a much cheaper and effective option that they use. By doing that they instantly earned my trust. I won’t go anywhere else. Thanks guys.

The staff here was really helpful both yesterday and today when I went with my kids. They set us up yesterday with a tank and everything we would need for it to bring out fish home safely today. They made sure I had references to take home that walk me through the setup step by step. Will definitely be going back when were ready to add to our aquarium.

I went into the store just to look around because Ive heard good things and wanted to check it out. After looking at all the tanks I talked with Justin about setting up one for myself. He was able to walk me through the basics of everything and he was very knowledgeable and patient. Next time I go into the store I plan on leaving with everything Ill need to start up my first tank!

First time buying marine fish. Wouldnt let me get more fish than I was suppose to. Explained why i couldnt get it gave suggestions and advice. Its not about the money its about the fish. Thumbs up guys

I WILL NEVER GO BACK!! The staff is very rude and had no interest in helping me. I went in and after a few minutes of deciding what fish I would want and what gallon tank I would be getting as well as asking what fish would be good and basic questions the owner had come over to me after about 5 minutes and told me I had to leave because other people were waiting however I was outside while people shopped for 20 minutes plus and came out with nothing. I am very upset because I saw many good reviews and was really excited to get a tank set up from there. I would absolutely not recommend this place! TERRIBLE!

I am getting back into saltwater. There are no nice places that sell livestock in south Jersey. Absolutely Fish is great. (used to bring my son there when he was little to look at the fish all the time) The staff was very friendly and helpful. The salesgirl patiently held the dry rock I handed her as I was digging thru the selection answering which was lighter in her hand until I got what I was happy with. I bought a nice piece of live rock and some macro algea that ended up being huge. They had no problem adding saltwater into the bucket I brought for the live rock. And I didnt see the prices for the fish being that much higher then what I saw on line.Ill be going back once my tank is ready for fish. So excited

I had previously had a negative opinions of your establishment based on my past experiences. I never would have thought that you guys cared enough to want to make things right kind of like the too big to fail type of thing which clearly isnt what you guys are about. I had a wonderful phone conversation with the owner and was the best talk Ive ever had this week and he opened my eyes. I thank you for that and in doing so restored my faith in Absolutely fish. I apologize to you for my harsh criticism in the face of such good people.

We went there today to get Glofish for my daughters. first of all, I was stunned by how many staff members there were walking around helping customers they were SO educated and knowledgable about each fish species. I was in awe at each of the hundreds of mind blowing beautiful tanks- we didnt know where to look first. the place is impeccably clean. You can instantly tell how much they care for their animals and how much effort they put in to care for them correctly. customer service is wonderful! our fish are soooo happy and healthy and active! I HIGHLY recommend everyone to go here- you will not be disappointed!

Went to this place because it was highly recommended. I’m new to owning an aquarium. We already had several neon tetras, platys and serape tetras in our tank that we bought at Petco. We bought 2 endlers and 6 more neon tetras from this establishment. We acclimated them into our tank and realize the next morning that the fish we bought from absolutely fish had ick so now our whole tank was infected. I called the store told them that they sold us fish that had ick and was told by the manager to come in and he would make it right. Well if making it right is giving me a $12 store credit for the fish they sold me that had ick and then charging me for the medicine that we had already gone to Petsmart and bought because absolutely fish didn’t open till noon because it was a Sunday and Petsmart opens at 9 and I live 40 minutes away from the store we just wanted to get the medicine in the tank so our fish would survive. Needless to say the medicine at Petsmart was $40 for eight boxes and it’s not just the money that I didn’t get reimbursed it’s the water changes every day it’s a lot of work because I was sold sick fish from Absolutely fish. After I spoke to the manager at the store they told me they realized that the neon tetra tank had ick and quarantined the whole tank. Well I will not be revisiting this establishment maybe if they had made it right by reimbursing me all the money I spent on the medicine and apologizing for selling me sick fish it was almost like they do this all the time.

Great selection of fish. Wide selection of plants. The staff was helpful without being pushy. Stock looked well taken care of and healthy. There were a good number of rehab tanks set up clearly mark stating the fish inside were not up to par for the shop and would go on sale when they were. Ive been to many shops who wouldnt hesitate to sell unhealthy fish, its nice to see that quality counts and not just bottom line here. Fish I bought during my visit are doing well a week later and I look forward to watching them grow as a part of my tanks community.

I came here to buy some fish and was initially excited since the store is so beautiful with a great selection but the employee who helped me was not well educated about different fish behavior and I ended up bringing home tiger barbs that not only tore apart my angel fishs fins but introduced a disease into the tank that is in the process of wiping out fish community. I also found out that tiger bards should be kept in schools of 6 or more and was told 3 would be fine. very disappointed. Ill be driving the extra 15 minutes to Elys Tropical Fish instead in the future.

I have been there before covid19 not friendly at all, however I was looking for a fish that I couldnt find on other places ,I called to see If they have any, didnt answer an a good manner when I asked if I can pass by or if I need appointment do to covid19 his answer was we prefer you dont.... really rude nice fishes and everything but without customers to buy them what you going to do with them ? Keep them? ..good luck ....Defenely wont recommend this place at all.

I understand that we’re in the middle of a pandemic. I waited outside (i’m OK with that safety first ) and in the store for the next available person to help me, no one came up to me and asked, “ Sir, are you being helped?”. But yet they were multiple people up at the cash register. Sitting there talking amongst themselves with “absolutely Fish T-shirts on. Meanwhile people are outside waiting on me to leave so that they can go inside and get what they needed.I have no beef with this company, I go there all the time generally it’s a great experience, somewhat hectic. Because it’s a very busy store. But today, May 29th Saturday at 1:40 PM the store is slow, there was no one (outside) in line when I got there. When I left there was about six people waiting outside in the hot heat.I finally get help, my final purchases would’ve been around $220. I got an Electrical pH checker some live animals, and some food and re-mineralize are for my RO DI water.Finally payment, I’ll preference this by stating I’m a millennial. I had recently lost my bank card, it’s gonna take 7 to 10 business days to get a new one. But I had Apple Pay, I asked the gentleman do you accept Apple Pay, another gentleman interjected and stated we’re not allowed to use Apple Pay. We can except the physical Apple Pay card.I looked at him, thinking poor guy he doesn’t know the difference between a credit card issued by Goldman Sachs and Apple Inc. Versus a Apple Pay wallet on someone’s iPhone, looked past that.I proceeded to ask what can you except enter my card information manually, because I have a digital debit card issued by my bank that is in my banking application on my phone.I’m thinking that they’re going to ask me for some ID to match the name that’s on the card to my drivers license ID. They skipped that security question altogether and immediately just said no.So now, absolutely fish has just wasted an employees time because he’s gathered livestock and helped me answer some questions around remineralize. And lost about $220 worth of revenue.But yet when I go to their website, and I use that same digital card I don’t get the ninth° on absolutelyfishnaturals.comI guess I’ll just stick to Amazon.com, bulk reef supply, aquarium co-op, flip aquatics#ITriedSupportingMyLocalLFS

Love to come here and watch the fish with my babies. They have a large assortment of great fish to choose from. I did spend about $110 in fish and they all died within 3 days; they said my water may have been too hard since I live on well water. So that sucked. But the fish were beautiful and my son loves coming to watch the fish. They have lots of good advice for you and great resources for fish and pond care.

Im a bit mixed. Love the shop and varities of driftwood and fish. My only gripe is that even though i run around 10 huge tanks and maintain perfect water parameters i always have fish from here die but nowhere else. Lost a black aro, motoro ray and geophagus (all purchased seperately over time as i visit) They seem to do well and eat after acclimating but suddenly die. I wont lie Absolutely fish is a nice store and i wont doubt thier system but i never lose fish from anywhere else.
