Historical societies are absolutely NOT a waste of any citys funds. Just because you have little interest in history doesnt mean that this endeavor doesnt deserve funding. Additionally, most people that are involved with this type of work are volunteers. Preserving our local history is important. I appreciate what the Brooklyn Historical Society does.
