Awesome people that put on Awesome shows! If you love theater and art I would definitely recommend this place! They are even pet friendly!

I love any opportunity to look at art, whether in a museum or an old building like this one! The building itself was cool as hell and the set up was nice. 3rd Fridays is when they open up to the public so thats why I was there. The art was beautiful and of course every piece told a story. Most of the artists were there explaining meaning behind some of the works, I loved that. To be respectful, I didnt take any pics of the art work but one artist had a beautiful Aloe plant so Ill include a picture of that!

Went to pick up masks from YellowCake & was so pleased to see COVID-19 mandates being strictly followed. Lovely. Great shop & owner & staff, their shop is a delight. Go shop!

I love the 78th Street space, especially Hedge Gallery, smARTspace and the ramp level lower area. Ive attended countless events there and the staff is always amazing, the spaces unique, super fun and attract great people. Big shoutout to Hilary, Dan and the team!

Fun place for shopping and enjoying the arts.

Amazing Time!!Once I found where the people, fun and food were..... I was in amazement. I started in the front gallery where there was no one and the art displayed was currency bills which had been colored on . It was nice but that was all that was there . When I left that areas I basically blindly walked around until I found the thousands of exhibits and galleries. This location is amazing and the vendors made the night that much better as they showed off their personal creations. I will be visiting again. I recommend this event.

Was there on a day that a comedy class was taking place for children. Great to see the process of them learning how to write and present. Before that, took a look at some of the local artists work on display.

Fantastic place to see some great local artists. The mediums and styles range as far as the artists want, showing off their favorites on the 3rd Friday of each month. The event is embellished with some beers and wine for sale as you walk through the galleries. The building also hosts special events on occasion so try to keep up with what is going on.

We LOVED having our wedding in SmARTspace. Its certainly a DIY space, and they made that clear from the start. That also meant bringing in our own caterers, decor, etc. It was almost certainly more coordination on our end, but we were really happy to be able to bring our own vendor team together. The space itself looked fantastic. We had about 225 guests and used long 8 rectangular tables. There was still plenty of room for a high table, dance floor, food tables, cake table, DJ booth, and Kids drawing area. We particularly worked on lighting and did simple table decor which looked beautiful as the evening skies darkened.

First time there, great atmosphere

The third Friday of every month is a wonderful open house that allows you to experience all the corners of this collective that are normally behind closed doors. Stop by for music, shopping, and art! Make sure to check out the holiday bazaar as well!

Cool place I never knew existed

Such an amazing place! The galleries all have their own unique style and do offer affordable gift items along with high end pieces. The Christmas market is fun when they bring in extra vendors with more affordable craft items. A great date night every 3rd Fridays to enjoy art and scheduled events.

Came here for the first time on a 3rd Friday. Kids and I really enjoyed it - especially the pinball arcade in the basement. Lots of great local artists and vendors.

Interesting artists with a wide variety of art. Stained glass by Bruce Buchanan was my favorite.

We come here often, especially to attend theater at Blank Canvas productions (which are as good as any off Broadway). The artists studios are varied and accessible. Every third Friday is an open house and especially in warmer weather its like a festival - music, food, events. People have weddings in this facility, a converted, historic greeting card factory. The old brick walls and wooden floors spark the imagination as one climbs the steps to visit different studios. Im not aware of a public elevator, but am sure theres a freight elevator. Some of Clevelands premier artists have studios here. When you leave you feel youve been entertained, inspired, and become a bit more cool than when you walked in.

Went to their Friday evening event (3rd Fridays) - very friendly and fun- a lot of people - so much to see it was almost overwhelming - would like to see it stay open until 10 or 11 .

As a photographer I get pretty amped up to capture my couples in unique spaces. 78th Street Studios truly outdoes themselves time and time again with creating a completely unique experience for each couple. I find myself stunned by the personal touches that are perfectly placed together in this space. From the staff to the vendors it has always been a seamless experience to work with you all! I still recommend my clients to check it out!

Wonderful time. Many Diverse artists. And much wine! Food served in the studios and by the Touch Supper Club food truck. Live bands, and then an adult comedy show and dance after hours.

Definately has things that you will never see anywhere else. The art shows they host are one of the best. Will definately keep coming back! Everyone is very nice and be prepared to spend atleast 2 hours there viewing everything.

Attended a show at the studio on a Sat in December. Lots of cool items for sale and made purchases for gifting. Loved the space! Many people showed up. Cant wait to go back!

Awesome space! Its really industrial inside, which created a cool space. Only downside is how hot the building got.

All I can say is wow! This is the place to go every 3rd friday if your into art. Friendly artist selling their original artwork.

This place is really cool. Been twice now, attending during the Friday night open houses and I have discovered really creative and interesting things on both visits. I love that there are places to buy beer inside so I can drink and walk. Got lots of good ideas for decor around the house, there is something in here for just about every style but there is definitely a trend toward modern industrial styles. Great place to plan your date night!

A wonderful place to go experience the local art scene. The place is full of talented artists from all over CLE. A definite must see. You can spend hours roaming 3 floors of groovy art galleries. Also there are food trucks close by which have wonderful local eats. A good time for the family or a great place for a first date.

This place breathes arts from all kinds. Every third friday of the month, they have an open art gallery expo, with tons of artists, plastic arts, live music, free wine and just love all over the place. Photography studios, music, glass and many more workshops!

I really enjoyed myself. It has a very rustic but artistic atmosphere. I was invited by a long time acquaintance. I was a very moving event. The showcases were brilliant and thought provoking talent. I felt like i was on the set of the movie Love Jones. From being an attendee i would recommend this venue for leisure and relaxation.

Great venue for a wedding. Very spacious yet, very Intimate and simplistic. Loved all of the cool displays as well as the arcade they had on the lower level. Felt very classy and elegant. Nice quiet location not far from the freeway.

78th street studios is truly one of Clevelands hidden gems, I went for the first time on Aug.16, the place was much, much more than I expected, the place was alot bigger than I expected, with so many artists and craftsmen and women, it reminds me in a way of The Cleveland Museum of Art, room after room of arts and crafts,every time you turn a corner there is another area to check out, absolutely fascinating artwork,so much that I wasnt prepared for the huge amount of things to see and buy, I thought it would a few stands of artists selling things,no, it is like a mall full of artists, and the day I came there were hundreds of people in there and it wasnt even crowded,they have beer and wine available along with food,and all the artists and vendors are very friendly and knowledgeable, I had many conversations with them and all extremely nice and helpful, not to repeat myself, but this is a must see place, I will most certainly be back, Third Fridays is excellent ,you can even bring your dog with you, and there is a game room with free games on Third Fridays, if you want to see a truly unique venue please check out 78th Street Studios, especially on Third Fridays, I wish it was every Friday. This place is a Cleveland treasure

Love coming here for the craft fairs. Props to all who reside her permanently and share all you make. Only wish things were different a bit more affordable for the average Clevelander. Still wont stop me from returning.

Wonderful venue for food, art & music

I attended a wedding here, what a great venue for any event. Wide open space looks exactly like what it is, an Art Studio. It provides a nice little touch of class but at the same time it is also a very down-to-earth location that you would not need to put a bunch of money into decorating can the ambience is already there

The westsides premiere art gallery collection. Be sure to see the Art Neo galleries in the basement. They are a non-profit which collects the art from artists in Northeast Ohio.

I went to one of thier weekend events and met my daughters Art teacher there. I really love all they do.

This is another tucked away Cleveland Treasure! The building contains unique multiple artistic spaces and is a treat to tour on Fridays when it is open to the public.

My wife and I chose the smART space at 78th for our wedding after we visited the space for a fundraiser and one of their “third Fridays” event. When checking the out, we were introduced to Hilary Gent, who runs the HEDGE gallery on the floor above. Hilary informed us that she was also an event planner for the space, and after only a few minutes with her we knew we needed to enlist her services. We did, and it was easily the best money we spent for our wedding. Hilary and her team of Adam and Kelli were so great to work with through our two-year engagement – they responded to emails promptly, didn’t get frustrated with us when we bombarded them with questions, and really delivered an amazing wedding for us. Booking an art gallery for our wedding, we really wanted a creative touch, and Hilary and her team totally knocked it out of the park. Our flowers (another service Hilary provides) were incredible, easily the most beautiful flowers we have ever seen at a wedding. The table setups and arrangements were exquisitely done, and our ceremony (in Hilary’s HEDGE gallery), was something that only existed in our dreams. Hilary contacted all of our vendors for us, made sure all deliveries were on time, and really just took all the hassle out of planning such a significant event. We do not think our wedding could have been any better, we were beyond thrilled with how everything turned out and have Hilary, Adam, and Kelli to thank for all of it.

I was actually working a catering event here. It is an older style warehouse and is definitely an awesome place to have a wedding. The wedding planner Adam is one I would recommend. He did a beautiful job and works in the building. Not to mention the artwork in the venue is gorgeous!

Great art, friendly people, slot to see at so many artist galleries here! Well worth a visit...go on the weekend, always hoppin!

Love the Third Fridays, one of my favorite Cleveland places

A fabulous place. Both studios and galleries. Third Fridays are the best time as its open till 9 or later. Open daytime. Light food and a catering venue also. Update 2018 Google liked my review so much they want to use it in an ad campaign and I gave them my perpetual (thats a long time) release to do so. !! You go 78th St you go!! Joe

Went here for a wedding reception this summer. It was a very beautiful space when decorated and the windows let it lots of natural light. The property is near some small industries and I think a little landscaping would spruce it up from the outside. Also the AC was not nearly strong enough for 150+ people at a wedding reception so it was very hot inside.

Best kept secret, Third Fridays cool vibe, have a drink and see and purchase from some of Clevelands best artists and decorators

Nothing else like it east or west of cle. Vibrant, diverse. Great place to show to your out of town company...and locals!

This is hidden hot spot. Galleries, theatre, media, food & drinks, and even pinball! At Christmas they have a HUGE bazaar. If you loved the CLE FLEA ... step it up a notch ... this place is the tomorrow. Check the website for events and hours - you will thank me.

Every 3rd Friday (i believe), all the studios stay open late and its a great scene. Take your baby out to dinner and then wander the building. Excellent date night.

Very cool venue. Lots to see and there is not just one genre of art, there is a very good variety and some unique mediums. Personally went on the third Friday and had a great time.

An artist friend had a show here recently, so we made our way here to show our support. My husband and I had no idea this wonderful space for artists existed so close to home. There are four floors of studios, galleries and retail space, all housed in this old warehouse in the Old Brooklyn neighborhood of Cleveland. Also included are food vendors as well as, food trucks outside. Parking is free and plentiful. If you are a lover and supporter of the arts, you must visit Studios at 78th!

There are good productions to be seen here, from dramatic to musicals. The only negative aspect is the HVAC; during the late spring to early fall shows, its warm inside the theater unless youre dressed for daytime summer temperature! There are fans to help circulate the air.
