Worth every penny, thats what I felt after visiting this place. At first, I was thinking paying 20 bucks to visit was a bit too much. But after seeing how well they have maintained it inside, I felt satisfied. Be ready to spend an hour or two if you enjoy aquatic life. So beautiful.

Amazing place. Lets begin with me saying that I gave this a five star rating. Now, it may seem pricey and it is for what there is but when you look at how much fun your child has, its so worth it. I do think a season pass is worth it just for the kids. The staff is so friendly and amazing. There was a very friendly young man that was showing a turtle off for the guests who had the happiest and friendliest attitude. I love that kid. He was so nice and respectful to everyone. I hope he gets some recognition from this. He made our day. And with this whole covid-19 thing happening the staff is doing an amazing job cleaning everything constantly and they are doing an amazing job keeping their happy vibes going for the guests. Its super hard especially now to stay happy 100% of the time but they do an amazing job at keeping the happiness going for the kids and adults. I highly recommend going here. I love everyone here for the wonderful day I had with my son

The aquarium is in a refurbished power plant. It is very clean and has wonderful exhibits. This is a must for the kids. The aquarium is a little on the smaller side you can view it in about an hour. Its a good idea to pair this outing with another activity. Definitely recommend visiting you wont be sorry.

I love going here with my daughter. Shes about to turn 3 but loved it since she was 2. Fun selection of fish, smooth layout and very calming experience. Before Covid we would take a break at the Cafe and experience it all again. Its a smaller location, which means you can go through it quickly. But with the pass you can focus on one section each visit. For those with kids its a great place with fun activities and a good teaching environment.

This review pertains to an event...We initially worked with Kristen for the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour for our wedding. Kristen was beyond amazing! She responded to my emails within an hour of sending them! She let not only the bride and groom tour the space multiple times, but also the families. She was always available and she always helped with an issues that arose. I could not have imagined getting through this without her, however, once the pandemic hit and people were furlough, I was assigned to work with Stephanie. She was nice and was quite responsive, but didn’t really lead like an event planner should. When it got time for the rehearsal, I had to run the show and was completely blind sighted. This is my first time getting married and I had to tell people where and when to be. I was under the impression that the “event” planner would’ve ran the show. The aquarium was extremely accommodating and was open to all o my ideas. I would recommend using the aquarium for an event for sure, my guests loved it and really added to our wedding day. Also, the pictures turned out awesome!

A decent tourist spot in Cleveland! Good to bring your kids. Lunch options available. The exhibits arent amazing, but it is worth going once or twice a year with the family. Nice gift shop at the end. It also has many environmental impact lessons sprinkled throughout the exhibits, which I think is great for teaching kids about protecting the planet, and a good reminder for adults as well.

Really cool that the put an aquarium in a historic building like that. Its a great experience as long as you know what to expect. I had 2 little girls with me, we took our time at exhibits, and got through it in about an hour. Dont expect your visit to be the only thing you do that day, but they make a great use of space. I thought it was cool, and the girls loved it. There is plenty to do around it as well. A great addition if your planning a day in the city.

This is a beautiful aquarium inside an old, renovated downtown Cleveland factory. The aquarium flows nicely and the lines were short. We were able to feed the stingrays and watch the sharks feed. Like wait what? No offense but if staff is gonna be like that I’m not sure I’m going to be returning he even told a bunch of kids in a family other than me and a friend no. I would recommend this aquarium to anyone who is thinking of even remotely visiting the Cleveland, Ohio area. You may spend on average an hour or so going through here. There is a sting ray area as well where you can touch the sting rays. I had one baby sting ray who really took a liking to me and kept coming back to see me. lol...... I think she knew I love animals. The huge aquarium where divers go in to work is a 230,000 gallon tank from what I was told. This place deserves more recognition. I think they are a ton better than Pittsburgh Aquarium and the National Aquarium in Baltimore put together. Folks, it is not size that matters; its quality that counts. I see so many places boast about how great they are because they are huge. Then you get to those places saying youll never return many times. It is like having a 70 acre farm with 10 trees and nothing else and 10,000 people hovering around those few trees than very few can enjoy what little there is to see. I think you get what Im saying now as it paints a better picture. I think the best time for you to go is during the week. Not only will your kids enjoy this place, but older folks, yes you (because I am one), will enjoy this place as well. The staff is respectful, helpful, friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have. There is a gift shop on site as well as a souvenir coin machine. Parking is only $3.00. I forget the entry price on the place, but you can look online or call for it. This place, at least to me, beats out the Maryland National Aquarium and it also beats out the Pittsburgh Aquarium part of the zoo. I plan on returning when I am able. I had a nice time while there.

Displaying an aquarium in a historic building over a century old is an interestingly innovative idea executed with grace and integrity. Incorporating exhibits in the elderly, dimensional tunnels with dimmed, blue lighting and binaural music created a highly unique experience. The tunnels encasing you in water was overwhelming creative watching the sharks and stingrays swimming above you and around you was one of the best exhibits of the aquarium. I will definitely go again and will highly recommend.

Staff was friendly. Venue was clean and from personal observation, sanitized frequently. The original architecture was cleverly preserved and even incorporated into many of the exhibits. You can see everything and linger at your favorite exhibits within less than 2 hours. A great place for those short on time who really want the full experience! My personal favorites were the Tegu exhibit and of course the stingray touch tank. The tegu was very interactive and seems to like attention. The touch tank had various species of stingrays. If you give yourself about 5 minutes, you will get to pet a stingray. The best part of the touch tank was that tank was deep enough for the shy rays to avoid humans if they were uncomfortable. Still some stingrays were very friendly and almost jumped out to greet me and the other guests. The walk through shark tank was awesome too. I would definitely recommend visiting Greater Cleveland Aquarium. I do believe the price is a little steep, but I think its worth it, especially for those who like an interactive experience.

Weve heard really good things about the aquarium and my husband and I (99% me) wanted to visit while we were still in Cleveland.Because of COVID-19, like every other business, they have implemented many new rules that visitors need to abide by. Wear a mask, social distance, limited number of tickets sold daily and decreased hours of operation. For me, the deal breaker was.... Tickets sold online only. You are purchasing a nonrefundable time slot and is only good for that time. Arrive 30 minutes prior to you appointment. Sign waivers. Follow the arrows in one direction and youre timed.I understand safety is top priority, but if Im going to pay $20 a ticket, I dont want to be timed. I like to browse. And maybe Id like to mosey back and see the puffer fish again

The nursing sharks are my favorite of all time. If you get there early enough, you can watch the scobadivers interact with the sharks. I love the sea tube, feels like you are under water. They also have a huge octopus you can watch move from one side of the tube to the next. You can touch the stingrays without paying for it. They have a photobooth to capture your lovely memories. Lots of things to touch and learn. There are several restaurants located in the building aswell. They also provide examples of what harms humans are doing to the aquatic species when they carelessly discard trash Into the water. It wasnt packed either, it was cozy and comfortable. They even have a place for kids to play, they can be vets and take care of sea animals with full costumes available, or they can run through seaweed. The place is very clean and the gift shop has reasonable prices. But, when you visit, DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLE ITEMS IN YOUR CAR, some of the surrounding areas are not very safe, although everytime Ive visited, nothing has happened. But you should be aware of your surroundings. You do have to pay to park, I paid $3 to park all day on the property. I will continue to go back time and time again.

This is a very nice aquarium. The shark tank and tunnel were very well done. I was a bit disappointed that there wasnt more to see for the price (it cost $52 for my family of 3 to get in and only an hour to see.) but I understand the expense of keeping up an old building as well as an aquarium, so I gladly paid that much to see it. I was just a little underwhelmed. The new poison dart frog exhibit was cute and there were lots of little froggies in there. We also liked the touch tanks. Very neat to touch a stingray. Overall it was very clean, very nicely put together, just small. Ive never been to another aquarium though so I have no comparison.
