Lake Louisa is beautiful. So many variety of hiking trails to explore. The trails are very dog friendly. They are a mix of sand and dirt trails. Just what you would expect in Central Florida. I was here late fall. The weather was in the 60s-70s everyday.

Absolutely Breathtaking!! This was my first time camping there and I was in complete awe when I drove in. Its hilly, theres 4 different lakes to fish, canoe/ kayak and swim (I think swimming is only allowed in Lake Louisa). Also guided horseback riding tours, I believe 1 hour for $55 and 2 hours for$99. Theres 3 camping loops with over 50 sites for RVs, 3rd party tents (w/ac), canvas tents setup on pallets they kinda look like the top of a circus tent, pole in the center of the round tent. Each site has water & power hookup, there is a dump station for registered campers. Each camp site loop has their own, Camp Hosts that volunteer with different jobs. Oh very pet friendly. Each camp site is good size with some back in and some pull through sites. Also each camping loop has their own mens & womens bathrooms with showers and a laundry room which the washer & dryer take credit cards. At the entrance to the camping loops theres the dumpsters for your garbage, you are responsible for your own. Then theres one of the lakes that has a long dock for fishing or just to take in the gorgeous view. Theres canoe & kayak rental inside the little camp store that has some of the basic things you might need, souvenirs like tee shirts, patches, pins & mugs just to name a few. You also rent the canoes, kayaks and the cute glamping tents as well as scheduling your guided horseback riding tour. RV camping sites are $24 a night 3pm check in and 1pm check out time. I cant wait to go back!

So many ecological systems in one place. Pine scrubs, oak hammocks, sand ridges, and marsh/swamp wetlands. A beautiful piece of true Florida. A glimpse of what this state was before all the concrete. We stayed 2 nights at Pine Point, a primitive campsite. Nice spot next to Big Creek. However, this site is on the trail. There is a picnic table and a fire ring. They ask you do not tie anything to the trees. The hike from parking to site is approximately 3/4 miles. There are 2 bathroom facilities in the campsite area (additional fee) that are well maintained if you want to shower. Overall a magnificent park to hike and kayak/canoe. *Be ware of pygmy rattlers*

An amazing state park that has everything. Friendly staff, kayaking, fishing, horseback riding, biking, hiking, swimming. RV access and sights, camping, and cabins. There are plenty of spaces to park. They even have a virtual 5K you can run in the park at any time and receive a medal. The bathrooms and showers in the campground area are spotless. They have washers and dryers. And a little camp store thats open from 10:00 to 4:00 p.m. I would highly recommend this place whether its for an afternoon a day or a week. Very close to all the hills in Clermont and the theme parks.

I was so amaze of a beautiful park. I had the chance to explore the bike trails. I recommend this place you are going to enjoy it alone or with your family. Near the Louisa Lake there is a playground for kids you can have your pets with leash. It has clean restrooms, tables and parking. Wonderful place to have a photo shoot. I had the chance while biking to see a deer. Remember there are gators on the lake, please caution with kids.

This hidden gem just of Rt. 27 is a beautiful retreat back to nature. Once inside you will not hear the yelling or screaming of the inner city nor the sounds of cars flying by. The only sounds youll hear is nature at its finest. After you pay the $5.00 to go in (used to maintain the grounds), youll travel along a beautiful nature trail. There are plenty of areas to go through and get lost in nature. You can bike ride and picnic too. Lake Louisa makes a great escape from the bustling sounds of city life.

Its a great place for a family hike. The major reason I dont give it a higher rating is because of the mapping and sign system of the park. Initially, I thought the map you get at the ranger station or online is pretty clear, however, while hiking there are tons of detours and new trails that are no on the map and with no signs, so have all your senses on! (I usually never get lost, but here needed to rectify several times). Finally, some trails are really neat and perfect, while others seem only good for horse trail, not for a family hike...should be better marked. Overall, I like it!

First time camping here-what a great experience. Nicely kept amenities, washer and dryer available as well. Areas for fishing and swimming. Cute little playgound area kept my kids entertained. We drove by the cabin area and the views were amazing!! I was skeptical because of the area, but it definitely doesnt feel like youre in Orlando! Close enough to stores so I could easily make a trip when we realized we forgot something! We will be back.

Great campground, sites not too close together. Bathhouses A+, beautiful and plenty of road to ride bikes, hiking trails. Close to shopping and WDW parks. *avoid tolls by staying on 27 to 192 to Disney parks. Trails are nice and scenic. You can rent horses for guided rides, there are 3 glamping tents if you do not have your own (they have window unit ac in each)..Staff on-site at park were exceptional.

This was such a cute little campground! Lake Louisa is a hidden gem with big perks. The campground has very clean restrooms with both handicapped showers and bathrooms. It came with a washer and dryer attached in the middle (which you can pay for with cash or card). It also has some pretty cool “glamping” tents for rent. My husband and I staid at site 15 with our renovated ‘87 Escaper. This spot was pretty secluded (which we loved!) and had partial hookups. At night you can see the stars super clearly! So gorgeous!! We were less than 200ft from both lake Dixie and Hammond . Our little dog loved it here as well, so they’re definitely pet friendly. It also had a small store where you could rent canoes or kayaks and other fishing gear, food etc. it also had horseback riding and a ton of assorted things to do so you won’t get bored. Sadly , we only staid for two nights but anyone staying for longer will definitely have a ton to do!

This is a very nice spot to take your family. The campsites have water and electric hook ups and there are also primitive camping if so wanted. There is also glamming or glamour camping, with available tents with furniture. There are many activities that can be conducted, such as fishing, kayaking, canoeing and more. The staff at the rental place are very nice and accommodating. The lake is a nice kayaking but it is just a round lake so not much to explore. The bathrooms are amazing! Well-stocked and cleaned. The ones by the campsites have washers/driers as well next to it.There is a little beach by the fresh water where you can BBQ on the available standard pits and picnic tables. Bring repellant for the mosquitoes and love bugs.Overall, we truly enjoyed our time here, whether it was camping, fishing, kayaking, BBQ, or swimming.

The care free camping or glamping is a nightmare. The entire tent was covered in mold. Smelled so terrible we had a hard time breathing inside. My husband and I were both sick and the second day my dog started getting sick too. The last day we stuck our heads inside the 2 other care free tents since we noticed no one was staying in them. They were much cleaner and didnt smell. In the end, my family ended up in the ER and my dog at the Vet from mold.Update 11.16.20You left 1 voice-mail in which we have emailed 3 times and called twice with no response. So if the ceiling was just stains, then the smell must have been from all the active mold around the bottom of the tent. We sent you pictures of the mold in our emails. If you would like, we can post them here since you seem to check the reviews.

This is a large, nice park but the camp sites leave a bit to be desired. The sites are small, patio areas are to the rear where most RV doors are forward or midway. There are a few sewer sites but be sure you have 30 plus of hose. Site 32 is private but we could not extend the awning. The sewer outlet is 30 from the rest of the utilities. If in a taller rig be very careful of the tress in pull through sites. If looking for privacy or concerns of a possible noisy neighbor many of the sites are a definite no. The trash receptacle doesnt over any recycling and is not in the camp loops.

Nice way to socially distance! after cancelling our out of state vacation we settled on Lake Louisa State Park. We rented a glamping tent plus a traditional tent for the kids (family of 5). The glamping tent was great, spacious and very comfortable. Love the AC! The staff was very helpful and resolved an issue we had with the traditional tent very quickly. We went kayaking/canoeing twice which is ok, but not much to see and on a smaller lake. My older two daughters and wife went on a 1 hour trail ride and enjoyed it. The kids also enjoyed the swimming beach.

I purchased the luxury glamping experience and that is not what we had. When we arrived the zippers to our tent was broken and unable to close. The canteen employee was very sweet and did all she could to accommodate us. She went and got clips to clamp it shut so the bugs wouldnt get in. Then there was holes everywhere in the tent and when it rained everything got soaked. The a/c unit took forever to start cooling and never really cooled until the evening time. There was nothing to see while kayaking. We were just kayaking for the sake of saying we did. Fishing was tough because all of the Lilly pads that made it almost impossible to bring up a fish with out the line snapping. We werent able to go horseback riding because it was booked for two weeks out. This was not at all what we were expecting when we planned a carefree camping experience. The park is beautiful but the next time we come we will just bring our own everything and camp the traditional way, at least I will know what to expect and cant complain about the luxuries I paid for but did get.

We pull Ed up to cabin #17. There is an option to park in a handicap or regular parking space. There is a wooden boardwalk that takes you to a screened in porch that overlooks Lake Louisa. The porch has a rocking bench, two rocking chairs and a big picnic table. There are two entrances. One that leads into the master bedroom and the other the leads into the open concept of living room, dining table and kitchen. You open the door and you see the checkerboard style floor and what I think is pinewood for the walls all the way up to the ceiling. Its beautiful! They have a few pictures of nature on the walls. They couldve had varying sizes of pictures to make it look a little more proportioned. There is a pull out sofa in the living area that is ONLY designed for small kids (weight limit I would recommend would be 35-50lbs). It was very squeaky and noisy. There wasnt a fitted sheet for the pull out sofa either. The beds in the other bedroom are very soft. For those of you with bad backs. There are blinds in every window that need a little work. The pulls had knots in them so they wouldnt go all the down and some of the blind was missing in some of the windows. The bathroom was a nice size! The toilet seat was surprising! It slipped every time I say down on it. If I was older I might have fallen off and hurt myself! The sink needs to be bigger! I think it might have been smaller than my Kindle tablet. The shower was a walk-in. The shower curtain and rod was extremely noisy! I had stayed here once before and made sure to bring a few essentials like; paper towels, soap, and any other things that make your stay a little more homey. Overall it is a nice place to stay for a long weekend!

BEWARE before renting a tent here that TWO out of three of the tents they have are FULL of mold. It was truly nasty. The listing on Airbnb is inaccurate. Clearly If they posted the tent full of mold they would not get it rented.I was put into one that was, that was NOT the one I saw on Airbnb, the second time I rented. My boyfriend is now recovering from being sick. I I tried to tell them my issues and they said they could not refund me or help me. They then had someone random that was not apart of the team or Airbnb call me three hours later when I was there to “call me” to help which they told me they couldn’t since all tents were occupied. I drove four hours. Clearly I’m staying. After the call in which I did not answer because I had no idea what a random number was. I throughly discussed my issues and no one cared to help or a refund was not received. On top of that we had a broken AC that leaked all over the floor. Will never support this place again, truly disappointed since I’ve been twice. Had a clean and good experience at first. But make sure to get tent 2 if you do go.

My husband and I stayed at Arden’s Place over the Christmas Holiday and I have to say it was the perfect alternative to the norm. From the luxury style safari tent to the Campers Canteen this place has everything you want and delivers everything you didn’t know you needed. Upon arrival of this very large campsite you’re hit with a wow factor as your eyes key in on the big white tent with warm Edison style garden lights strung all around it. As you walk inside the tent the wow continues as you notice this space is as stylish and spacious as a luxury hotel room. Though there appeared to be what looked like mold on the surface of the tent, the cleanliness of the actual space made us soon forget that it was even there. Well dressed queen sized bed, chandelier lamps, air conditioning, power outlets and even reading chairs...now this is glamping. This site also contained a pavilion with a grill and a campfire ring set just to the side of the tent. Let’s not forget the very clean building just across from the site containing restrooms, showers and even laundry machines. As for activities the park has pretty much everything you can imagine from horseback riding to bike riding to kayaking. We chose kayaking so we could enjoy rowing about the beautiful lake to see all that Mother Nature has to offer. I have to extend a special thank you to Adren who took the time not only to set us up, but also make sure we got safely onto the water. All that’s left to say is that this is a place we will definitely visit again.
