For anyone in the DFW area and looking for a great outing with your family, check out Mainstay Farm. They have all the traditional fall festival activities with a county fair feel. The staff was super friendly, welcoming and helped make our first visit there an amazing one.The music selection was perfect for the theme and filled every corner of the park without being loud. The food choices were the standard offerings at decent prices. We ended the evening visiting the gift shop and pumpkin patch where a helpful associate loaded our choice pumpkins and wheeled them to our car.Rating:

Always a fun place to visit! The owners work their tales off and are such down to earth, genuine people! You can usually find them working around the farm along with the staff. There are some improvements and additions this year that were a pleasant surprise. Bottom line - yes, its a bit pricey, but it is a super fun and relaxing holiday outing that is worth all the memories you will make!

My family has been coming here for many years and have always loved it. It’s been great watching them grow over the years into something amazing! We were pretty bummed this year when tree prices were way higher than last year, and they are no longer doing the $20 off coupon. Every time I’ve been before this year, they give you a coupon when you enter for $20 off your tree, but not this year. I would understand the no coupons, but no coupons on top of way higher prices was enough for us to purchase from Lowe’s. We still enjoyed all the other attractions, but our main reason for venturing out there is for the tree cutting experience. We are hopeful this is a change made only for this Covid impacted year, as we really love our tradition of choosing and chopping down a tree, but we couldn’t bring ourselves to pay $90 for a tree that costs $50 at Lowe’s.

Such a fun place! It takes quit a drive to get there from DFW but it definitely worth it! Fresh farm air, yummy burgers, wine, homemade ice-cream, and of course the favorite part for all kids are the rides! The only thing I wish they had is a map for the place, we had no idea there are more stuff in the back until one of employees told us. But we got a season pass when it was on sale, so we’ll be back to explore it again.

We loved this place tricycle races for kids and Adult. They have a nice and relaxing area near the “shell” gas station. They have the trampoline for kids and adult. If you go up the hill where the tube slide is, they have bigger like sort of 4wheeler bikes for tall people. This place was super fun for the whole family and our favorite part was the apple blaster. We will definitely come back this year.

Great for young to possibly preteen kids. Lots of slides, pedal go karts, cool maze, big bouncy thing. This year the food service was kinda slow, they definitely werent prepared for the crowd today, food wise, but still gave it 5 stars because that hasnt been our experience 2 other times. Good selection of pumpkins at reasonable prices. Some areas got a little crowded and most were not wearing masks but it was easy to distance from others except at the food lines. Wear comfy shoes for walking on rocky dirt paths.

Surprisingly Expensive! However the farm was great lots of room to move around and easy access to photo ops. The animals were super friendly. The funnel cake and the pecan praline ice iceream was the best ive had. Come early to beat the crowd. They have a mini roller coaster and zip line. They serve wine no beer. Face painting is extra money. Everyone was friendly. Our kids had a blast.

3 hours plus of fun and I had to drag my 2 yr old away. The sandpit area was his highlight. But everyone will find something to enjoy. Only negative is we should have gotten food earlier as it does get long round 1230 when we came back down the hill. Luckily we did dessert early so didnt need to do the long lunch lines ha.

This year it was okay. Weve had much more fun in years past. We started going to Mainstay about 15-16 years ago when all you had to pay for was the tree and goodies you purchased. For the price you pay ow for admission alone youd expect their activities to not be broken such as the water pumps in the littles area or so many of the pedal cars in the up hill area or janky swings out of service or missing all together. These should have been addressed before opening the holiday season admission fees.Overall it was okay. The kids sort of enjoyed themselves for the most part and they had multiple food options which was nice. Im not 100% sure if we will be back again next year though.

A great Saturday afternoon out in Cleburne. The Fall festive occasion brought us out 40 minutes south of Dallas along Highway 67 and 35W. Mainstay transformed their farmland to give us city folk a taste of the real outdoors and plus some. As you can tell by the pictures there were activities for everyone. Our family planned on two hours but left just before five hours, it was that big and fun. Bring some money - food and drink will cost you a bit (just like eating out) but worth the expense. Kids had the most fun. Pumpkins, face painting, food, Apple Blaster and souvenirs were extra, all other activities were included in the entrance fee. Good place for an afternoon out.

My family went on a spur of the moment trip and it was worth the drive. We had so much fun, but I didn’t prepare for a full day of activities so we didn’t get to see all of the attractions. There’s enough to do for all ages. Lots of photo opportunities for moms and lots of dirt for the kids, ha. We didn’t try any food but we did get a scoop of cinnamon ice cream that was really good. They have spray sanitizer stations set up all around which was great. An actual hand washing station too. Will definitely have to go again for Christmas time!

Will definitely return in the following seasons.

I have been coming here for the last four years and my family usually enjoys it. This time around the low rating is because of how this business is being ran in the middle of a pandemic. I was very disappointed to see they are not requiring people to follow the recommendations of wearing masks and are not enforcing social distancing at all. I only saw one employee (out of the three standing there) spraying the hands of people getting on the roller coaster. The other two grown men/employees were too busy making kids wait in line so they could ride the roller coaster and film it. They did this three times that I saw. They made kids switch seats because they wanted a certain seat. The kids said they didnt want to move so the guys promised theyd put them in the video. I had to ask people several times to back up and give us space since there was nothing indicating such. I did ask about the masks when I walked in because I noticed all the folks coming out without one. I was told coming in that its however you feel. No paper towels to turn off the faucets by the bathroom so I left mine running and told the kids with us to do the same. Defeats the purpose of washing your hands then touching the same dirty faucet. I also saw no wiping down of the inner tubes or any other attractions. They only had spray bottles with I dont know what at various places. I used the entire bottle of sanitizer while we were there. Plus- The live band was good as well as the music on the speakers.

We had a great time today at Mainstay Farm!! They have so much to do, and we were so pleased with everything that was included with admission price. Very reasonable, which we were so happy about! They do have a few things that cost extra in the park, but so much is included, its probably worth the extra charge for the few things they have! Food is a little expensive, but nothing too extravagant, especially for a park like this. Everything is pretty reasonable. They have tons of activities for kids and adults of all ages! They have plenty to do for really little kids (I brought my 19 month old), including baby zip line, slides, rubber duck races, animals, the sand dig sight, the Yeehaw express, and more! Then SO much for bigger kids as well, like the big tubin slide, the roller coaster, the bouncing pillows (though my little had fun on that as well), petal karts, hay jumping, big tree fort and play area, and more! Overall, a great experience. We had a ton of fun, it was well worth the price of admission (which I dont say often) and great photo opportunities with kids and family! If I had one critique, it would be that its difficult for strollers or people in wheelchairs, with walkers, etc. to navigate the park, as there is very little true pavement. Its mostly grassy fields, graveled roads, etc, which can be hard on the stroller wheels or anyone with any kind of handicap necessities. It might be beneficial to have some more paved or rubber areas or walkways for that reason.

If you dont have kids, I dont think its worth it. It also feels very touristy when I was expecting it to feel more hometown farmy. I also feel like they should be growing more varieties of trees. Some things are set up super well, so Im not knocking the whole farm. It just wasnt what I was hoping for.

I came out to this place to be with my kid and his class today for their field trip. I’d say there’s a decent assortment of different activity stations to keep the kids interested and having fun.I thought the staff hosted pretty well. They know kids and really focused on getting some instructions through those collective “listening ears”. I think with basic campfire safety and help from the other parents, we were successful in getting the kids to roast marshmallows without setting anything on fire .From the hayrides, to feeding the goats, and just plain running around and tackling the huge uphill playground areas, I think it did the job. These kids had a blast and it’s all that matters to me.

Our 8 year old had a decent time with the many free attractions, but I dont see us going back again next year. The main issue is that it just didnt seem worth the admission price. Even buying our tickets online at a very modest discount it still cost nearly $60 for the three of us. Mainstay has lots of food and drink options, but again expect to pay prices on par with the state fair, for example a 32oz lemonade is $6.50. On the plus side all of the staff were very friendly and the large slides and activities at the top of the hill were fun.

They also have a tubing hill, play ground, hay ride, hay climb, sand pit, animals, giant potato launcher, a swing ride, places to eat and get snacks and drinks. Can be a little pricey but includes a decent amount. Your kids will fall asleep on the way home from being so worn out lol! On busy days it can take over an hour to stand in line and get your food. We purchased tickets online (you have to pay to get in) and saved just a few dollars instead of paying there. We each received a voucher for a discount on a tree. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and very helpful in picking out a tree, wrapping it and helping put it on our truck. My nephew and family had fun with all of the things Mainstay has to offer.
