If I could give this course .5 stars I would..absolutely awful course one of the worst course I’ve ever played and it’s across the street from my house and I finally got the play. The course has decent prices for what you get. The course is confusing fairways are full of tall grass tee boxes full long grass and greens that are hard as concrete and don’t even look like greens.I had to give the golf pro shop my ID for a 1975 Wilson putter and when I came back at 5:30 I was told that the pro shop closed so it took me another half hour to get my ID back also the sprinklers were on at 4:30 in the afternoon for two holes.

I played this course over a hundred times its amazing how nice the green tire on the back they were a little rough on the front side all in all its in pretty good shape

Nice course!. Not particularly long or tight. Yet surprisingly challenging. The greens need some help though.

Its not the fanciest place its not the best greens in the world but its always fun I like the track and its pretty easy to score well which is always fun.

Normally? The course is fantastic! But if Im gonna pay $48.00 for a round in August, Id better have a pristine course! Temporary green on 13 and some of the other greens were in pretty bad shape. At this time of year? And the condition of the course? $48.00 is WAY too high. Im a local n I love this course but youve lost me for a while. Its unfortunate.

Good prices and nice course. The greens are sometimes a little iffy but over all nice place.

This course looks relatively easy at first look. However, it is more challenging than it appears. Fun to play. Enjoyed the round and will definitely return.

Had some amazing golf lessons from Jeff. Signed up for five more. I highly recommend Jeffs expertise.

Very nice and clean facility. However, was questioned heavily by a gentleman who worked here as to why my brother in law and I wanted separate carts. Would hate to say race was the issue but didnt see anyone else questioned to the same degree. Very sad.

Great course overall but the first 9 had some pretty rough looking greens.

Typical muni course. A little short, but straight forward golf.

The grounds are well maintained, but there isnt enough separation between course and streets/residential.

Fairways were in good conditions.

Decent course and decent pricing. Enjoyable layout with some challenging holes. Greens reasonably well kept, but have some problems in spots. Tee boxes and fairways in good shape. Not a bad golf course.

If you like 5-hour and 6-hour rounds this is the place for you. Its a hsame because the course has a pretty good layout. However, weekends are full and there is no ranger to keep people on pace of play. Waiting 20 minutes between swings is no bueno.

Nice golf course! Pricing was very good. The course quality was decent. Fairways and tee-boxes are good, greens are not great. I would come back here again.

Played early morning, The course was not crowded. Very fair and enjoyable course, Considering the heat and the fact that it is a public course, I thought the condition was very good. If I visit the area again, I will go back.

Wide open, and very short. Greens were in good shape.

Nice little layout, but I walked 18 and never saw the concession cart even though the gent behind the counter said there would be one out there (my mistake for trusting him I guess). Also, sure would be nice to have someone nudging the groups of 5 and 6 golfers along. Groups larger than 4 ahead were holding up everything and they never offered to step aside for anyone to play through. Very frustrating

Charm all its own simple yet challenging

This is a good place to meet friends and have a bite to eat, even if you dont golf.

It’s an old course that is well kept. It’s not super fancy or super difficult. But it’s a nice walk (or ride) right in the middle of the city. It was quite affordable and well worth it. The availability was great too! I liked that the edge of the course was open and not fenced in as places like this typically are. I was very glad I chose here and would be glad to go back

Annie was extremely helpful and was able to visit us on the course multiple times. Would have been nice to have water coolers available especially in summer.

Great place to hold a luncheon. We had 40 guests & all were served promptly. Very good food & wonderful wait staff.

Not sure why I didnt play here before but Ill definitely be back. Price was great, course was in good condition, it rained while playing and drained well.

It was a good round. The speed of play was great! A 3 some and played in 3 and a half hours. The course is in pretty good shape. I played it a month ago and is in better shape now. I will definitely be playing it again.

Nice course, cheap rates, easy to get to, easy to play, but mostly par 4s for a good challenge. Place is well kept for the most part, greens mostly in good condition

I have not golfed at Clearwater Country Club. But I must say they have the nicest people there. Specifically the girl in the Managers office. She was so accommodating, nice, respectful, friendly, trustworthy, loyal, friendly, helpful, curteous, kind, cheerful. Above all she was incredibly attractive!!! OMG just like Helen of Troy. Loved the course, it was very well maintained and condition of the course was very nice. The only knock I have on the place was that the greens are close to the tee boxes to the next hole.

Ended up getting a rain check after 3 holes. After the hole it was backed up for 20 minutes due to 3 groups of 5 ahead of us. Said it was routine at that point due to layout and those groups typically finish in 4 41/2 hrs. WhateverMaybe it only on a Friday but at least they can do is warn you!!

Great to play golf, casual atmosphere. Good to drill your swing, 75 balls for $9 I think.

Always good course is always in good shape I golf on Friday afternoon just got in back of a group that have tournament but they sped along pretty quickly. Office staff is always courteous and kind keep up the good work.

Slow play on the front nine especially if you are behind a twosome with pull carts! Staff was friendly and accommodating. The kitchen closes at 3:00

Really good course. Ive played there twice in the last 6 weeks, and I have to say that helps with understanding the layout and making a more enjoyable experience. Hidden water hazards from the tee box view made my first round a few shots higher than my second. Interesting layout with back to back par 5s and well placed sand traps. Give it a try and I think youll like it.

I went to a talk about stem cell research held at a conference room catered by the country club there. Outside was a golf course.....where people were playing golf. The food was excellent and surroundings were high end.

My friend took my to this Golf Course and we choose to go to the Driving Range. The two of us split a small bucket of golf balls which was actually allot even for the two of us and was around five dollars. Im not much of a Golfer, but the Driving Range was decent and I really enjoyed it. There was a little bit of a walk to get to, but non the less it felt good and I was able to smoke without bothering anyone. Five Stars all the Way!

The club house is old. Needs an update. We couldnt find coffee. Fairway was also in rough shape. Planes, trains and automobiles on this course.

A nice local course usally in pretty good condition. The staff is always nice and friendly. The course drains well one of the best places to play when we have had a lot of rain. The only real knock I have is that some of the members are rude they make it very clear that the public is not welcome.

Good track but rates are a little pricey

Not the best but I enjoy it even though its quite a drive to get to. My favorite isLakewood National near Sarasota

Very nice place with nice employees. Quaint Pro Shop and restaurant. Only played the back nine and I loved the back nine.

Golf course in good shape. Green could be better. Good driving, chipping and putting area. Short course, but challenging.

Great place for meetings: Edit -- Not sure if they still have meeting rooms available. Our group had to find a new location over the summer as they changed the hours.

Food is just ok and service today was very slow.

Great club open to the public. Was very busy when I went. 19tg hole was fun and they have drink specials too.

Really good value for the area. Its a small course, somewhat tight. Pace of play can be a bit slow at times, but its a short enough course that it doesnt make the round terribly long in the end. Greens are really decent for the price you pay.

NO better place to play golf in the Tampa Bay area. Best carts around with two USB ports in each. Staff is 10 star and professional. They all make you feel great and wanted there. The course is challenging and John Daly can be seen there on occasion. Will we return, you bet we will. Don Smith party of four.

Seriously the worst golf experience that I have had ever. The course is so poorly maintained that I had to call it quits after holes. I spent over $100 to end up wishing I never came. I am on my way to try another one around here.

Great place to hit range balls off grass and chip and putting...yet to play a round here but course looks nice...they have resod some areas on fairway so that grass isnt dry and died out .

Course was nice. Needed a little work. My problem was we had a 10:22 tee time all went well till we stopped for lunch. 1:15 later we tried to go to the 10th and we were in middle of a league. They didnt like it and didnt blame them. But I was playing 18. Pro shop made no mention of outgoing league play. When we discussed the matter we were tourists they were money. Course a 4 pro shop a 1. Might want to ask at desk before teeing it up

A great little course, with a very friendly and courteous staff.Played the 4th of July scramble tournament this year with some good friends and ended up placing 1st. In thw scramble points, 2nd, in the total points, and 1st in the longest drive contest.

Course isnt in good shape but good enough to play a round. Greens arent easy to putt on because of all the damage. Great golf carts though.

Has an old time feel, in fact there a long history connected with Clearwater c c. The course is nice, well maintained, not too tough.

This was one of the worst golf experiences of my life. The course was alright but the group ahead of my wife and I were allowed to be out of control. They appeared to be drunk beyond belief and continued to buy more beer. There were three men old enough to drink and one boy around 13 which made it even worse. There were about 6 groups waiting behind them and everyone who watched them shook their heads in amazement. When they dropped of their carts full of empty beer cans they got in their cars and drove away. (Scarey) When I told the pro shop employee about them all he could say is that aint good . So if you want to golf and have a drunk pee on the 18th tee right in front of your wife, golf at Clearwater CC. These guys teed off around noon on Sunday January 6, 2019. It amazes me that after posting this I have not been contacted by Clearwater CC.

This is an old style tree lined golf course small greens that require all your short game skills and you definitely need to hit the ball straight off of the Teebox greens are a little bumpy but true with all the problems with weather in the last year the course is still worth the money it was fun to Play.

Staff was friendly and the course is In pretty good condition. There are a couple greens contaminated with crabgrass like growth but the ball rolled just fine.

A bit on the short side (even from the back tees)... staff however were super friendly and one or two holes to make you think a bit, shame the greens were so slow,... really slow....VERY SLOW. Pace was pretty good, and had the two four balls in front of let me through would have been great

Place sucked. On vacation I wanted to get a round in. This course was the closest to my hotel so just went with it. Rented clubs that were older then me, no driver just a 50 year old 1 iron. Course was worse then my clubs. Greens were trash. My cab driver warned me the course was garbage an I should have listened. Do yourself a favor, if youre in Clearwater on vacation and want to experience a good Florida course, go anywhere but Clearwater country club
