Very happy with our decision to join! The marketing videos are completely accurate. Weve had the opportunity to use many different types of boats out of several locations. No boat depreciation, maintenance, insurance, slip fees, and NO CLEANING! Dont forget to tip the workers after your trip... Jacob & Logan make us feel taken care of and safe. They teach us places to go and are always patient helping us dock and answer lots of basic questions. CLEARWATER is our favorite marina by far. Wish for more off shore boats and ones in good shape. Reel Luck Off Shore Cobia is beaten up and needs to be replaced. The other COBIA is not much better. Please instead of more pontoons and smaller deck boats -- more off shore cobias

Had a couple experiences with Steve and Joe (including today). Great boat hands - so knowledge and patient if youre not 100% knowledgeable yourself. Great customer service. (When you can get a boat) the Freedom Boat Club is great - and especially good experiences here at the Clearwater Dock.

I love being a member of Freedom Boat Club of Tampa Bay! This location is amazing. We had an amazing time on the intercoastal and in the gulf in a awesome Kodiak boat and we ended the day by a state park beach with other boaters and had a awesome beach walk. This Freedom Boat Club is amazing and changed my life. This is the most fun I have had in a long time. If your looking for full service and creme de le creme experience to enjoy something you love without any hassle whatsoever look no further you found it. Unreal experience!! Highly recommend.

Captain Rob took me on my new member orientation this week and I loved it! He had be relaxed while also paying attention to the details I needed to know to safely operation the boat while also having a great time!I totally recommend the club!!

FBC at Clearwater is hands down the best dock we’ve been to and has become our go to home base. The guys have made our experience with FBC top notch. We already thought the club was such a great program to get us out boating but we couldn’t have asked for a better team y’all have here. HUGE shoutouts to Jacob, Logan, Drew, Steve and Brandon! They are always on point, friendly, courteous, and impress everyone I bring out on the boat with their knowledge and professionalism. They treat everyone like family and have actually become good friends. Thank you guys for always making our boat days memorable!

This was our first time picking up a boat from Clearwater and I was alone with our kids. I called the marina when I arrived and by the time I got to the dock the boat was ready for us. At the other marinas we usually have to wait a bit but not this time- which was fantastic since I was with 3 excited kids. The location of the marina is great. We cruised along the IC to Indian Shores and passed by the marina through Clearwater Harbor to Caladesi and Honeymoon Island. It was a fantastic family day. When we returned the staff was friendly and efficient. The boat was clean and everything worked as expected. Would recommend Clearwater FBC :-)

These five stars are ONLY for the dock crew in clearwater location. Other than that, boats are always broken. Now I mean the accessories like radios, seats, canopy, pieces always missing and they look like they are 10 years old. Now I know its not the company or deck crew its the ungrateful members that break the boats and dont take care of them. Also their online reservation system is useless. You cant use it to reserve a boat the day of. You have to call the marina and see if you can reserve eve though the online app says its available. Its more than likely all boats are reserved on weekend. They have like 30 members to one boat (could be more, could be less). Been a member for almost a year and had to BEG to get a boat on a weekend. For the amount we spend a month of membership fees, better off buying a boat and use whenever and wherever I want.

Capt Trevor greeted us on-time for our new member orientation at the Clearwater location. I appreciated his professional and candid approach as well as his highly enthusiastic instruction.Thanks again for getting us a NMO time block on short notice. Lastly, thanks to Capt Will Mason for answering our questions as we made the decision to join FBC.We look forward to a long-term membership with FBC!

This was the second time that we’ve gone out of this location. We live a bit further north so we usually go out of Tarpon. All I can say, is that these guys seemed genuinely interested in making sure that we had a good day on the water. In a world where we often feel like cattle running through a shoot, the staff at this marina definitely saw us as individuals and made sure that we had a fantastic day on the water. Would definitely recommend this marina!

Since the change over my experience with Freedom Boat Club has been outstanding.The professionalism and treatment I have received has been outstanding .Bay Pines- Darryl and Roger have been such a huge help to me getting started and helping me with future reservations.St. Petersburg - Brittany’s knowledge of the area, guided me to have a great experience using a boat at that location.Clearwater - Jared, Joe, and Steven were a big help as well in helping me navigate the area. Patience while I waited on friends who were late. Helping with my personal gear and fishing equipment upon my return.My overall experience has been fantastic , I can’t wait to make another reservation hopefully out of a different location so I can learn the different areas as well as meet new friends from Freedom Boat Club.

We have been members of Freedom Boat Club of Tampa Bay for close to two years and they have been nothing but excellent. The staff is very friendly, accommodating and helpful. This is THE best way to get on the water. It truly is the best of boat ownership without the hassles of boat ownership. We have a monthly fee that is lower than a boat payment and no surprise costs for unexpected maintenance. We get to use many different types of boats depending on our needs and best of all we can go to all the different locations, places we never would have gone in our own boat. A boat club may not work for everyone but Freedom Boat club is wonderful and worth every penny for us!

Some of the boats need to be swapped out as they have had a lot of wear and tear, but all in all it has been a good experience and a lot of fun. Dock hands have been good. My only request would be to give a split buddy membership an extra reservation as opposed to splitting the 4 allotted reservations. Or letting the buddies split the cost of the normal 4 reservation plan as opposed to the hefty up-charge. I’d still recommend, it’s fun having so many different locations to use. I just used the reciprocal rental last weekend out of state and it couldn’t have been easier.

2 days ago, I took the boat out for my first time. I had the best experience ever. I took 5 of my friends, and we went to Three Rooker Island, put down the anchor, walked up to the sandy beach, watched the dolphins swim around the boat and just had an awesome time. What a great experience. Im so glad I joined. I moved down here to boat, and its been 3 years, and Im just finally getting around to doing it. I wish I would have done it sooner. Thanks for allowing my dreams to come true. A+++++++ 5 Stars What a great club to be a part of.

Our friend is a club member and we enjoy all the benefits of the boat club. The best part is reserve your boat via the app, show up and the staff helps load your gear and assists you on departing. After your fun boat day the staff is waiting to help assist in docking and unloading. They figure up the fuel charge, you swipe your card, and then you are on your way home. The service is TOP NOTCH! Dont forget to tip the staff! They clean the boats and prepare for the next use. This club is awesome!

We are very impressed with how professional the training is at Freedom Boat Club . Your Captains not only have the licenses but also real life experiences that really add to hands on part of the training but it is still fun and holds your interest !Some Mom and Pop Boat Clubs only pay lip service to safety and are never consistent in the way they approach procedures like float plays and safety equipment , they try very hard to imatate Freedom Boat Club but in the end they always fall short . FREEDOM BOAT CLUB is a tremendous value and money well spent if you enjoy operating less than two year old water craft . Always changing out the fleet with equipment the members want . No extra charges for staying out till sundown every day and overnight can be arranged too !

This is a reciprocal location for us because our home location is Lake Lanier. We contacted our home location and they promptly put us in touch with Lori who handles scheduling for the Tampa Bay locations (many of them). She was/is WONDERFUL! She made great suggestions and made the reservations that day. We had no problem with getting a boat on Easter Sunday and a day during the week during Spring Break vacation. We went to 2 different locations and have now visited 3 of their locations in the St. Pete and Clearwater area. I have loved all 3! The staff at all 3 were friendly and helpful. Clearwater had me especially impressed with how wonderful the staff was. The best part of having this membership and one of the selling features for me was the reciprocal feature and it lived up to my hopes/anticipation. If you are considering a membership I strongly advise doing it! We have had our membership for 2 years now and have LOVED it! We werent sure of where to go and Lori put us in touch with someone who gave us great suggestions of which club to book at, what spots are great for families (especially small kids), and it was all great! Thank you Freedom for the awesome experience and I know this is company wide as we experienced it at 3 different locations :)

We have already used the reciprocal program, reserving a boat at Montrose Harbor in Chicago. This was seamless and extremely easy.At the Clearwater dock both Cody and Mike were terrific as was Nick in Chicago. So happy we joined the club!!!!!

The boat club employees are great, the boats however are really beat up, smashed in metal sides, torn cushions excessive marine growth on the pontoons just to point out a few issues. I was embarrassed bringing guests to join us.

Great club, we have been enjoying boating almost every weekendLove to be able to arrive and to leave the marina in less than 10 minutes. No cleaning or worrying about boat maintenance.

This is a spectacular boating program. There are about a dozen locations within this franchise, and its very efficient to make reservations. The boats are new, clean, and in good shape. The dock masters are helpful and friendly. A CPA friend that I took out said it would be worth it financially to join even if a member only went out a couple of times a year - relative to the very high cost of private boat ownership.

Club tour was awesome as I was able to tour one location, ask questions, and get out on the water. One on one boat training with a boat captain, any apprehensive feelings were put to rest. FBC is awesome with so many locations to use and variety of boats for any occasion. Boats are two years old or newer.As a homeowner with a strict HOA, I was forced to find storage if I were to purchase a boat and that alone was steep in addition to insurance and loan payments. FBC is the way to go. Never have any issues with a reservation even last minute on a holiday weekend.

If you love carefree boating, having a variety of boats and locations to go out from, then Freedom Boat Club is for you! We have been able to go out anytime we wanted on weekends and holidays (even using a reciprocal exchange over a holiday at another location on East Coast). Great family fun without the hassle, stress and money pit of owning your own boat! Love Freedom Boat Club and Highly Recommend it!!!! :-)

My wife and I joined Freedom Boat Club two weeks ago and we figured it would be at least a month before there would be a boat available for us. Well to our surprise, two weeks after joining we have been out once already and have been able to secure a boat for the next 3 weekends. When we arrived at the dock the boat was there waiting for us and in less than 10 minutes we were on our way out of the slip.When we returned later that day, the dock hand met us dockside to grab our ropes and quickly had us tied to the dock. As I was placing our belongings on the dock, he retrieved a cart and started loading it. Before I knew it, he and my fishing rods were gone. I looked across to another area of the dock and there he was giving the rods a fresh water rinse. We paid for gas and were on the road heading for home, again, in less than 10 minutes. It doesnt get any easier or better than this.Life is good!

My husband and I joined Freedom Boat Club six months ago after selling our tenth boat. We have known the joys and pains of boating over the years. Freedom is just that Freedom from the pains of boating. The dock service has been fantastic, we happily arrive to a cleaned and fueled boat for a day of fun on the water. We love the flexibility of boating out of different locations locally and around the country!

I am a member of the Freedom Boat Club at the Ruskin, Florida location. One of the 20 plus boats are usually available during the week. A reservation is a good idea on the weekend. I have had great service from the dock personnel and the boats have always been clean and ready to go when I arrived. Boats are replaced every 2-3 years, so the fleet is always failry new. Hours during the week are from 8:00 to 5:00.

I just cant get enough time on the water. Always great staff and easy going to get the boats in and out of the marina.

We go out of Tarpon and find it great. The only way to go if you want care free boating with a good variety of boats.The staff is always friendly and Lori in booking is a real help if you have a problem. We are happy with them so far and i would recommend it especially to new boaters who are not sure if they want to buy a boat , give it a try...The only thing that I dislike is they have changed the bookings to half days now so you book a boat for a day it counts as 2 bookings This is making me reconsider staying on

FBC is awesome. Going on 1-year of membership and I have no regrets. We are able to get a boat almost every single time we want to go out. The guys at the dock are great, especially Captain Dean. They go above and beyond to give us a hassle free hosting experience. Id recommend it to anyone who likes to be on the water and enjoys boating.

Our family boats out of Ruskin and absolutely love it! The dock staff are so friendly, the boats are great quality, theres good availability and each time we go we make another happy family memory. And on top of that, when we arrive back, the dock staff has a cart waiting for us, they clean our fishing gear, we swipe our card for gas and in 10 minutes we are heading for the car. Talk about hassle-free boating! This is it!

We joined the Freedom Boat Club in May of 2015. We find it is a better alternative to owning a boat when you use it for recreational purposes. This marina is one of the best kept marinas in Florida and I hope it stays that way. Capt. Dean keeps this chapter of freedom boat club in tip top shape no complaints from us. There are many restaurants walking distance from the marina as well in the downtown area of Clearwater.
