Clubhouse staff very courteous. Course in great shape. Had a 9:12 T time. Was pressed on the putting green by a guy who later claimed to work there and had to be at work by noon... His group hit into us on the 2nd green. On the 3rd he came forward and wanted to play through. We let his 3 some go. Then we were PUSHED by the rest of the groups that were playing behind his group. Our 4 some finished. At 12:50. Less than 4 hrs. When the group behind us drove past the club house the GUY WHO WORKED THERE shouted from the porch what took you all so long . we will never be back! Not the first time we have been pushed on be REGULARS like this, but it is the last!

Challenging course, good greens, a few tee boxes were bare but overall had a good round of golf.

Eastland used to be a nice public course. Very little improvements have been made over the years. Employees often seem irritated and get very defensive when approached. Facilities are dirty and dated. Driving range turf is mostly sand and rock chips leaving clubs cosmetically damaged after use. Walking is not allowed depending on which employee is working. Greens are in constant state of repair as are tee boxes. Course restrooms are either out of order or filthy. The two signature holes are now overgrown with vegetation. Eastland used to have a separate nine hole course that was kept in better shape than the main 18 that has since closed. Overall Eastland provides the golfer a lack luster experience at the highest cost per round in the city.

I love this course. Been there twice now, and the back nine is like a whole different course. Its a lot harder then the front nine, but also a lot more fun. The hills are steep and challenging. I would recommend this course to anyone. The prices are very reasonable as well.Update: my husband and I have become members in 2020. The owners gave us a price we couldnt refuse. Everyone that works there is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We golf several times a week and cant imagine what life was like before our membership.

Golfed here for the first time. Price was $40 for 18 holes which I don’t mind paying for a round of golf but afterwards, it’s too high for this course as there are better courses and values around the area. Greens were in very good condition which is why I gave this course a 3 star rating, which is sad because I liked putting here. Fairways were in decent condition as was the other cuts and bunkers. A few of the Tee boxes were like teeing up in a bunker, little to no grass on several holes. We had the first tee time of the day (4 players). At the 8th hole a Marshall made contact with us, was a bit rude and told us to speed up our play because we were holding up the whole course of players behind us. We never felt rushed up til that point. He then proceeded to monitor our play for a majority of the back 9 which I thought was ridiculous, he should have monitored the group behind us. The group of golfers behind us, on several holes on the back 9 were hitting into us and almost hit one of us on a few occasions. They teed off on a par 3 while we were still on the green and almost hit me. We had 2 altercations with the group behind us involving them hitting into our play, they were extremely rude, used foul language and accused us of stealing their balls and tossing their balls aside. We were by no means playing slow and if we were then we would have let others play ahead as we’ve done so many times before. We played 18 holes in under 4hrs as a 4some, which I feel is reasonable. I won’t return here because of the staff and high green fees. This course was a bit challenging but the experience and high cost to play isn’t worth another round here in my opinion.

Stopped in on a Sunday. Granted, we didnt book a tee time but the parking lot was almost empty. (Maybe 6 or 7 cars) they started off giving us a hard time because we didnt have a tee time. Nobody was visible on any of the first holes but they still insisted we would have to wait at least 2 hours to play. Nobody else was on putting green or driving range. We discussed it and decided to go ahead and wait. THEN, the gold shop attendant said, oh, we cant just let you 2 go, you will need 2 more players. Obvious this guy is on some power Trip and enjoyed refusing business more than making money. Wont ever be back, EVER! Too many other choices that are eager and happy to take the money. He should write a book, How to fail in business in one easy lesson. Guess what? We still played golf today and someplace else was happy to take our money!

The golf course is in okay shape after a long wet winter. Played 18 today. The greens were aerated this week and are a little bumpy. Hole 7 is cart path only due to all the recent rain and flooding, which is to be expected. Hole 12 is playing as a par 3 with a temporary green in the fairway as they get the green back for this year. Everyone was very friendly and helpful as is standard for this course. I am looking forward to some good warm sunny weather to bring nice green grass all over the fairways. The greens are usually in good shape over the spring and summer. I will post another review when I get back to play Eastland Green again this spring.

The front nine will rival any course, very nice. The back had some serious problems last time I played it. There were a few greens that were destroyed. I hope the greens come back as it is one of my favorite courses, and the South Nine course is pretty decent. The staff has mellowed out, but they could be more accommodating for sure. The best hamburgers and sausage biscuits ever. I like the owner, and he also owns Pebble Brook as well. I played the course again and the back nine is back. The owner everyone complained about has since passed away. He was always nice to me. I give the course a 4 and a half, very nice.

I was surprised to read some of the older reviews. I will tell you...those reviews no longer accurately describe this course. New management = new attitudes and business practices. Friendly staff, beautiful course, and they are doing their best to repair the neglected greens of the past. I come here with friends and to golf solo, I enjoy every round. I would highly recommend this course to anyone. Good price, good carts, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful scenery. If they continue their business practices, I will continue to give them my business!

Course is not youth friendly.. My husband, son and his 9 year old daughter, who has been going along with him for 4 years, were told children are not allowed unless they pay, have their own clubs, and are playing. They asked the worker how do they expect the game of golf to be introduced to youth but were told sorry, thats the rules. Thats fine, they can make the rules, but theyve lost two families business.

Updated review. Although the course stays relatively playable, the grounds crew continues to disappoint. Ive never seen a crew so oblivious to golfers. Had a tractor-mower follow me down the fairway like he was a spectator, circle the green as I made my 2-putt, return to the fairway to do the same for the group behind me. He probably cut the same grass 2-dozen times in his back-and-forth travels on that one hole. He was still on that hole an hour later as I was ending my round for the day. Never seen anything like it, and head greens keeper was on-site. 3-strikes and your out, theres too many decent places to play to put up with this nonsense.
