Going to a small theater in my local theater and supporting small business feels great, snack prices are expensive but thats the price you gotta pay when your a small business with limited inventory

This is my favorite movie theater. Independent films, sometimes serious and dark, sometimes humorous and quirky, but always human. Im so glad that the Laemmle family decided to stay in the business!(#protip Get their card and you get a discount on admission AND free popcorn on Thursdays.)

Over the years I have enjoyed going to the movie theater. They have reasonable prices. Different occasions I have come to the movie theater to purchased a advance movie ticket and I received rude behavior on getting a advance movie ticket. I have reported the incident and it hasn’t happened since then. Until recently I was purchasing a movie ticket and received rude behavior. I would of reported the incident, although it was the manager who was being rude. It was a difficult moment situation on who to report to you. Depending on their mood they can give great service or bad service. I don’t recommend going to the movie theater to see films. I recommend going to different movie theaters to see films.

Cool theatre in the heart of Claremont!

This BBQ restaurant is really good! The waiter was terrific! The theater here is an old theater but very clean. The price not bad either. I plan to go back to this place soon. Really like the area!

This is one of the theaters in the great family-owned chain of Laemmle Theaters. We are fortunate to have it here in Claremont. There are five screens with one-#5- being very large. A couple of the other theaters are quite small but picture and sound quality are always excellent. The staff is very friendly and their prices are better than giant corporation owned theaters. They do a good job here of offering a variety of movies- some big-budget blockbusters are usually shown along with smaller, independent films. They also hold many special events (and screenings) and display art.

I had a wonderful time at Laemmle. The box office staffer was polite and he even wished me a good day as I exited the theater. Parking was nearby and plenty of eateries in the immediate vicinity. Look forward to returning. Plus, no traffic congestion!.

Has that old town flare movie theater. Saw Downtown Abbey with one of my best friends. Liked the coziness of it.

Love having a Leammle theater in Claremont. Senior Tuesday prices are very reasonable. Also, enjoy independent films shown there. Only con: seats are uncomfortable and theater screens are small.But I still go often because they offer films I enjoy and Claremont Village is convenient and enjoyable.

Great location for biking to the movies. Find independent and foreign films here, and enjoy in comfortable seats, on a not sticky floor, with clean restrooms. Linger to take in rotating art exhibits on hall walls outside restrooms.

Always love coming here. Its about $12-13 for a movie ticket but the showtimes are never overcrowded or crazy. Food here is good for what the price is. Always love coming back

Really great independent theater. Very good prices and showings of independent films.

Cute theatre, very small with a more classic vibe. The screen is higher than eye level for most seats (nosebleeds) and the aisles are through the middle of the rooms. Not the greatest experience for audiophiles

This was my first time here at this theater. It was so intimate. The venue over all was great! This was a family friendly place. Employees were polite and served you with a smile. Relax for awhile and enjoy a movie.

This is a throwback to when going to a movie was an event...plus they are NOT subscribed to the TMZ, Entertainment Tonight pimped movies! They showForeign films with subtitles, obscure art and noir films...re-release of classics! Not 18 different theaters showing the same 6 movies! There IS a difference between movies and film!!! Plus they still stick Goobers!

The theater is old, and there are only a handful of screens, but its clean and comfortable, and in a great part of Claremont. Lots of other things to do in the area.

Its a terrific theater! Its clean, the Acoustics are great, and the picture is sharp and clear. Its the best deal in town for seeing movies, from the popular first runs to the off the beaten path foreign films.

This was my first time at this theater and I left with a great impression. I didnt order anything from the concession but it looked to have the basic candy/popcorn/hot dog to choose from. I was surprised that the theaters were pretty big and had a lot of seating. The seats themselves were comfortable and the floor was clean.

This theater is really quiet usually during the weekdays and thats what I really love about it. Its a small independent theater chain and it supports local artists in the area. You can always find their artwork decorating the walls of theaters hallways and if you ask the concessions for a price quote from the artist they usually have that information if you are wanting to take one home with you. The prices for tickets are really cheap compared to the bigger theater and while the screen arent as big its always clean and the seats are comfortable and the sounds is more than adequate so Im a happy camper. The prices for snacks and popcorn are fair too. Overall I very much enjoy this theater and am a regular patron.

Quiet little theater in the center of New Village, Claremont. Tickets arent the cheapest, but its easy to get dinner and see a show. They Also have good discount times. Good senior prices.

Always loved the novelty and quirkiness of Laemmle theaters. I’ve been going to this particular one for a number of years now even though I live about 20 min away. I always love supporting and watching independent film, many of which are shown at Laemmle. The seats aren’t the most comfortable but you almost never get an obnoxious audience - mostly because someone being in there under 30 is uncommon, excluding the few college students I see sometimes.Overall highly recommend for indie movie lovers and for those just trying to get away from the big theater crowds.

This is a great small theatre. They show most major films as well as lesser known indie films so theres lots of variety and options. The theatres are always clean with comfortable seats. Its never too crowded. The bathrooms are kept very clean as well.The staff is always friendly when I go here and very helpful if I need questions answered or anything. There is a small art gallery inside as well that features different local artists and its always a treat to see whats on display. This is definitely my favorite theatre to go to.

The Laemmle is one of my favorite theaters because of the crowd. There usually isnt many people here, which makes my movie experience better. If youre not a fan of teenage filled theaters, this might be your spot to enjoy a film youve been looking forward to see.

Great theater! Warm, inviting, intimate. It doesnt show EVERY movie that comes out, but that is also one of the things that makes it soo great. You can find films here that may not play at the bigger theaters.... For film-lovers, you have to check it out if youve never been.

Picture clarity and color wonderful. A little bleed over of sound from a very loud film next door. Friendly staff; helped me find something I dropped.

I love this place. It’s quiet, the theatre’s play quality movies at reasonable prices. Free popcorn refill on a large. And lots of little coffee shops and restaurants and bars within walking distance. If you’ve had enough of the big box movie experience, please check out the Laemmle!

Less selection of movies but has older and more obscure movies, which is nice

I have nothing but great things to say about this movie theater!!I go every Sunday!!1. Sunday’s are student nights tickets are $9 popcorn $2!!2. Staff amazing. 5 stars, keep it up!3. Friendly neighborhood indie and art films theater. As they recently devote more screens to wide-releases from action and animation franchises, I am worried about their viability in the long run. Support your local art theater!

No frills and reminds me of the theatres I went to when I was a kid. The manger, Carlos, runs a smooth place. Still wishing for cartoons and newsreals.

We love this theater. Its small and a little bit hidden so there usually arent crowds. The snacks and drinks are cheaper. The employees are nice and always seem happy. I think ticket prices might be about the same as those corporate movie places or a little cheaper. Either way Laemmles is a much better experience.

Nice clean independent theater.The seats seem a bit too low for me at 5ft 10.? Inches tall i got uncomfortable with my knees up too high. Guess I need a booster seat

Great prices. They offer student discounts. You can purchase tickets online to save yourself some time. While you wait for your movie, enjoy the area !! Also if you are taking a toddler ask for the booster chair. :)

My first time there. I liked the theater, and especially liked that there is free parking (unlike the Pasadena Laemmle.) Lots of other places to explore in the area. Ill be back.

Great place senior discount days very nice theater

Always have loved coming here. Nice little theater that still has the old school going-to-the-movies vibe. My only complaint is they don’t show more of the indie movies that come out; wish they would, & not be too consumed in offering only blockbusters. Have more of a variety like you used to.

Get the rewards card. It is definitely worth it. $30 paid for 3 of us including all the snacks and drinks. Love this place.

This place reminds me of the classic movie theatres of the past each theatre showing a different movie on their screens not like those multiple theatres showing the same movie on every screen

Excellent location & mobie choices

I love this place it is one of my favorite theaters locally owned and operated. The ticket prices are a little lower than Edwards or AMC but I believe in supporting local businesses. The popcorn is very good and fair priced.

This a my local independent movie theatre, usually has good foreign/art house/documentaries but sometimes it feels like its just screening the same mainstream films as the regular multiplex.

Great place for a date night. Old school theater with smaller seating area. Doesnt get crowded very often. Shows movies from the top of the list and lots that dont make the list so expect some good independent films and documentaries.Popcorn here is not all that great. Dont use the bio-straws unless you enjoy not drinking your drink because your straw disintegrated.Interesting local art pieces in the lobby and the hallways. Many good places to eat and drink nearby. I suggest Walters on Bonita and Yale

Nice selection of movies, super location in downtown claremont, not fancy but comfortable. Resturants very close.Parking can be challenging for this little area of Claremont.

I attend a movie here almost every time I visit Claremont. Great independent theater outlet. can be expensive but they have great specials on certain days.

The laemmle theater is great it is my local movie theater and the staff is always very nice.

Good movies,some that you dont see in other theaters.

Absolutely love this theatre. It will remind you of what it was like in the 70s and 80s before the mega sized theatres. We enjoy the downtown Claremont area to walk b around after the show. The only criticism is the parking.

Charming theater with comfortable seats and intimate theaters. They also show local artists in the hallways which can be quite interesting as it is this week.

A wonderful experience that will stick with me for a bit. Friendly staff, excellent service and very clean all around! If you’re in Claremont and haven’t gone to the Laemmles’s, then you are cheating yourself out of a classy experience of a bygone time when theaters were the portals to other worlds and they were incredible!

Great little local theater. Saw star wars force awakens here with my then 8 year old. Had light saber battles with her and others in line. Fun environment and easy going staff.

Great discounts for early shows! Theaters are small, so get there early if you want a good seat.

It was well worth it

Im very surprised by the negative reviews. This is my favorite movie theatre. I like that its small and cozy. They have REAL butter on the popcorn. I can see a movie on opening weekend without waiting in looong lines like at the big multiplexes. Their matinees are well priced, and I have always gotten good service. The best way to enjoy this theatre is to get a Premiere card. Youll get $2 off tickets every day and 20% off concessions. This makes it especially economical when attending a matinee.

Its updated and easy to get to in a village atmosphere. Great restaurants and shops nearby.

Such a nice theater, kind of a bummer that they dont have as arthouse/indie heavy lineup as they used to, but a good fix of the aforementioned with blockbuster fare. Theater is clean, unpretentious, good selection of movies, cute location.Large popcorn is $5.50, and they have like 5 popcorn flavoring powders to add. Enough said.

This movie theater is great. We were surprised that the theater was turned a different way other than when you walk in. Staff is very friendly.

Old time feel to the theater

I prefer this theatre over larger theatres because it isnt ever packed, the snack prices are super reasonable and the staff is very friendly. Were lucky to have such a nice theatre in Claremont. The manager, Cassie, is always nice to see as she is extremely friendly and takes care of the theatre quite well.
