This Cal fit was ok, I prefer Folsom, but when in a pinch its great to get it done.

As a former employee i know all the cancel policies yet have still been unable to cancel due to having emails ignored and having to wait over 15 minutes in club to speak to a manager.I tried to ask about cancel and freezing before COVID closure and 2 emails were ignored and 1 in person drop by was not handled. Now I have been charged for a gym I cant effectively use just because they put a few pieces of equipment outside.I tried calling my club today and received no answer, this is 4 attempts of ignored communication, 2 prior to COVID closure an email after reopening was announced and now a phone call after being charged again.

I’ve been at this gym for a little over a year and a half. When i first started coming here, i was not impressed. However, when Marcus took over as the Ops manager, the gym improved drastically. The equipment is much more taken care of, weights and attachments are usually in their respective areas. Marcus and Larry are constantly on the move to make sure the gym is in order and that their members are happy.Most cal fit personal trainers tend to stick to themselves, but Brandon and his team are much more interactive with members and don’t snub their nose if youre not actually their client Brandon is always willing to lend a helping hand to help you maximize your gains.-Brandon is easy on the eyes too ;)Child care is awesome at this gym. Better than any of the other cal fits. (Except it closes from 12:30-3:30 on the weekdays)Emily is the bees knees.She and her staff keep order while making sure the kids are comfortable and able to have a good time while their parents are working out. This child care exceeds expectations and you know your children are cared for properly while you focus on your gains.Great job guys!

I love CalFIT, perfect place for a disabled person to workout or just strengthen the leg muscles and upper body if you are in a wheelchair like me. The hydrotherapy bed is unbelievable and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I love the Sunrise and antelope location in Citrus Heights. My teen athlete loves to workout and play basketball there (even though thats not his sport LOL)

This CA Family Fitness is big enough that it feels like a gym, but small enough that it feels like family. The staff are super nice and very ready to help. Any question or concern I had/have they have the answers. What I love most is that their fitness instructors actually care and are willing to work with me to navigate me through the gyms equipment and help me achieve my goals. Great friendly family place.

This gym has given me my life back. Signed up 1 1/2 years ago and I am so glad that I did. They got me on track right out of the door, evaluating my abilities and pairing me with William Caves as my personal trainer. He totally understands my needs and limitations. Love feeling younger than I have in years!

I’ve been a member of this gym for quite some time, but have not been consistent with workouts. Because I needed help with motivation, I decided to enlist the help of a personal trainer. For the past few months I’ve been working with Josh Price. He has helped me immensely- with self confidence, fitness education, nutrition and goal setting. He listened to me, as his client, then created a workout plan to meet my individual fitness goals. He is professional, personable and dedicated to helping his clients reach their potential. I strongly recommend him.

1st thing 1st, Alex is super cool employee.They gotten better on keeping gym clean, day care is not good compared to other CFF places. So my wife is forced to drive to Roseville.I like the gym though, not big not small and got everything I need. I wish they would offerProtein smoothies as some other branches.

I worked with Stephanie W after my kids were born to try and get myself back into shape. Im in the Army and she understood what my physical needs were in relation to the Army as well as a recovering mommy. I was dreading the workouts a little bit until I got there and she really made them fun, and sent me all the notes afterwards so I can continue after our sessions are over. I highly recommend her!

If I could give them zero stars I easily would. They’re a bunch of scam artists. DO NOT SIGN UP HERE!!!! There are many other gyms that are way worth your money then Cal Fit.

I love this gym, over the years I have tried about 4 other gyms and nothing compared to calfit. One thing I love the best is the employees take the time to remember my name and will always make an appoint to talk to me when they see me throughout the gym. I have been going here consistent for almost 5 years and will not change anytime soon.

The gym is going downhill fast.Lately there have been homeless people sleeping in the lobby and management is not doing anything to stop it. They appear to live in the parking lot.It’s creating a very tense environment.I’ve been coming here for years now. I love the people who show up early with me.But this is getting out of hand.

Been at this gym for a few months now. This location is by far the best in my opinion. It’s not the biggest, which I’m so okay with. The sign up was quick and easy, the entire gym is very clean and the equipment is always working. The staff are friendly and helpful. Most important the kidz club is great with my daughter. The entire staff in there is great, Emily is my daughters favorite person in there. She’s amazing.

I have been working with Taylor Brossard, one of the personal fitness trainer at Calfit. I LOVE her. She is the perfect mix of professionalism and friendliness. She really listens to me! She is seriously hard core, but gentle. She never lets me give up on myself! Training with her has been the best self care in a really crazy season of life!

Taylor Bs Body Fit sessions are awesome! At first I felt green, but after just a few classes I feel great. Highly recommended & worth every penny! Already seeing results too.

Requested to cancel my account over a week ago and today they charged my card (in spite of my cancellation request) taking money I do not have to spend. Haven’t even been to the place in months.

Brian is a rock solid awesome leader and you can expect his team to be. This is a team that wants you to have a great life and feel good. You can feel it. The vibes in the air. They are rockstars. I’ve been a member of at least 12 gyms (I’ve moved around the country a bit) this is my favorite team I’ve seen running a gym so far. You can’t go wrong here.Thanks guys

The club is clean. Staff is friendly. And they have great classes even for seniors!

I had an issue this morning, my first one at this club with the front desk. Even tough it was not in thier dept the Sales Manager and Fitness Manager we both very responsive and very helpful these two know what customer service is!!!

Stopped by here because l had never been to this one yet. Everything was easy to see from the front as soon as you come in and easy to get to. Ladies locker room was clean also showers were clean with of plenty of hot water, shampoo, and conditioner. Would come to this one again.

What a horrible experience! I was thinking about switching gym’s and called for pricing. I spoke to Brian who was very unprofessional when I said the prices were so much more than what I’m paying now! His response was “it’s nothing to us if you don’t sign up, we don’t seek people to join you called us for pricing” He also claimed to be the Club Manager when I asked to speak to the manager! (Lies)! Not sure how he has a job in customer service! Thanks but I’ll stay where I’m at This post shouldn’t have any stars but I can’t get rid of it!!!!

Robert in management was very rude to me over the phone today. So much so that I am cancelling my membership and switching to planet fitness. Bye! Its been a less than pleasant 3 years with this gym.

Child care at this gym gets 5 stars. The ladies in the child care are so awesome. They are very attentive to the children, my daughter loves them. I honestly couldnt ask for better care for my daughter.The gym however gets zero stars. It is seriously a disaster every day. Nothing is ever cleaned up on the gym floor. The people here have no gym etiquitte, they workout off the racks (cause thats how you do it in the movies). They leave their dumbbells in the walkway. Re-racking is un-heard of at Cal fit. Cable attachments are all over the floor like its confetti. The personal trainers walk right past all of this time after time. I have currently seen a workout ball and platform stacks in the walkway for over an hour now (Thats actually what has inspired this post.)If it wasnt for the child care I would honestly never workout here. (Brians cool though.)

I believe this may be my first ever negative review on Google. This place deserves it.I was looking for a gym to join for one month, one with a pool as I have chronic pain and swimming is the best exercise for me. I informed the sales rep that I would be leaving the country after a month, so I didnt want to be a member for any longer than that. I was led to believe that was no problem.Then, after being in the Netherlands for two months, I looked at my bank account to see membership charges from the gym. Suddenly the money I was going to use for food was gone.After hours spent phone calling and emailing, I was finally able to get the yearly fee and one month refunded.But they refused to refund all of my money. They still charged me a monthly membership fee for a month when I wasnt even in the country! Despite leading me to believe I wouldnt be paying it in the first place.And when I contacted corporate and told them I was overseas, and this was my food money for the rest of my time there, they didnt even have the decency to respond.What a terrible company! Im back in California now, and will make sure to never use CFF again.

I was never thrilled with the facility itself but I joined Cal Fit in Sept 2016 to work with Max a personal trainer my sister loved. In May 2017 I received disappointing notice that Max would no longer be working for the company...so I went in and spoke with Sales Manager Vince to let him know that I had no interest in working with any other trainers and NOT to continue to charge me for personal training sessions. Vince informed me he would take care of things and promised to follow up. HOWEVER not only did he not follow up or return my phone calls but allowed a CHARGE for another month to process when I was already owed a refund for unused training sessions. Needless to say I will no longer be a member and will be notifying my bank that California Fitness STEALS money from customers!

This the worst location , dont try to go there , the manger and the assistant Manager they are ready , they dont know the rules every only told you different think , the manger told me the child care is start from 4 month and the assistant Manager said start from 3 month , the manger said he is very sure about what he said , when i check the web said they expect from 3 month , and also they called the cops because i have my babe with me and they are charge me and her name in the account with me but they told me its not allowed to be here and they charge me every month on her , dont try this location

My experience has been good up to yesterday where the sales manager dropped the ball on notifying me about a recent addition to my membership, and my wife was dropped from my account. Corporate bears no culpability and makes the sales manager at fault for not notifying me of certain requirements not being satisfied before dropping my wife from my membership. Mind you she has been going everyday since 3/18 when she was added, given a card and checking in with no issues. So I contacted the assistant sales manager since the sales manager was out and she said she needed to call corporate. A tennis match is not cool when youre the ball. It says a lot about whats important versus who is important, especially when the club and corporate are local.

They only pick up the phone to just to put you on hold and never come back.Id rather go elsewhere more worthy of my money.Management needs to tell the idiots at front desk to practice their customer service skills.

I LOVE the gym itself and it is exactly what my family needs. But, I really dislike how the person who signed us up, Bryan, the sales manager, he felt he needed to be sneaky in order to get us to sign up. He did give us a deal but mislead us with further promises and its a bit frustrating that I am feeling like we should drop since we have only so long to break the contract. If we had never been given specific information to make it more exciting to join, we likely would have joined anyhow at the rate we are getting-once it kicks in. You shouldnt need to beat around the bush and be 100% upfront about EVERYTHING to where there is no confusion.I appreciate you helping get us started but its not 100% what you told us in person.

I signed up @ Cal Fit with my family at 13, just as they were opening their Orangevale Gym…Sixteen years later (excluding a brief 24hr affair in 03) and I remain a loyal, satisfied member at 29. Thank you California Family Fitness, for upholding admirable standards. As well as providing its members with a fully equipped, well staffed, clean & welcoming environment allowing EVERYONE to enjoy the Fitness lifestyle!

Went to go shoot some hoops with my dad and friend but got kicked off the court because some kids can just start a 4v4 game and have to play full court. Also management just let them!

I used to be a member. I enjoyed my classes and worked out a lot. I only stopped due to my chronic illness. I want to join again but spoke to a Bryan on the the telephone and he was pushy and rude.I remember the place had a high staff turnover....maybe Ill join another gym until I hear hes no longer in management?
