Plus we love to support local business by writing a review, I quite enjoy history, especially surrounding alcohol. Humans and alcohol have always had a humorous relationship and hearing that the Irish picked up a whole church and tried to move it was right up my anthropology history alley.I know every review is about Miranda the cute blonde Australian girl, but she was genuinely a delight. Her knowledge of the area as well as her passion for the stories she told definitely made the tour. Also, Troy at the Emery Theatre was very knowledgeable and engaging! We took the “Queen City is Haunted” tour and Michelle was our guide. She was wonderful — very knowledgeable and informative, great sense of humor and inclusive of the entire group! We also had a moment of distraction when a bystander became aggressive towards the group, trying to yell over her and cause trouble, but she handled the situation very well and moved the entire group down the street to a more quiet, safer spot. The additional access to the Emory Theater and independent ghost-hunt made this tour well worth it! So much fun, fascinating history, great tour guides...we will definitely be coming back again!

Went on their ghost tour while visiting Cincinnati for Halloween weekend, and had a wonderful time! This tour was a fascinating mix of paranormal tales and morbid history that I never wanted to end, no really I wish I had gotten to take the special ultimate haunted tour that was longer but unsurprisingly it was all booked up! But Miranda, our tour guide was what really made the tour great, her sense of humor and passion for local history made it all the more engaging. The people who work here are so sweet and knowledgable and I will definitely be coming back for their underground tours next time I visit.

We had an incredible experience with the two hour Ultimate Queen City Underground Tour with Laura . We learned so much about the history of the Over the Rhine neighborhood , especially the brewery history back to the 1800s. Going underground in the lager tunnels was super memorable . Definitely worth the money for the tour !

Did a ghost walk here in Friday night. We covered roughly an 8 block area in two hours. Our tour guide, Michelle, did a great job. She took the time to answer all of our questions. The tour was a nice blend of history and legend. We learned a lot about history of this area in the process.

We took the ultimate underground tour. Our guide was Melanie, who was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the places and their history. It was obvious that her knowledge is wide, not just a memorized script.Highlights of the tour include the lovely St. Francis Seraph Roman Catholic Church, which dates to the 1850s, and the underground lager tunnels for a brewery that opened in 1860 and closed about 1905.This is just one of the tours available. It’s well worth the time.

It’s a wonderful, socially distant activity, with lots of outdoor time as well as super cool underground spots!I’ve been on this tour 7 years ago and on the Haunted Covington one 4 years ago. What a great experience! Not only did the tour maintain proper social distancing practices, but it also unearthed a whole new side of Cincinnati that would have otherwise been invisible to me. We did the Ultimate Underground Tour. The premium experience granted us cold, complimentary waters as well as a look at more cool underground tunnels. I was also very happy to hear that a portion of that premium went toward restoring historic parts of the underground. The highlight of the tour was our guide, Miranda, who brought a special blend of enthusiasm, knowledge, and humor that can be quite rare in the tourism industry. Great experience!! I would have never thought to do this tour but glad I did. When arriving, we were greeted right away by Miranda, who made us feel welcomed and excited to be on the tour. She had a wealth of knowledge and yes, we loved her accent. I highly recommend this to anyone, even those who are from Porkopolis. :-)

The Ultimate Queen City is Haunted Tour was our 1st experience with American Legacy Tours. We toured with Patrick at 9:30pm on Sept, 25th, 2020 and had an excellent experience! We were engaged in his the stories throughout the tour and learned so much about the history of our city! The tour finished at the Emery Theater, where a second guide, Troy, joined us and showed us all around the abandoned theater and introduced us to the spirits of the past. Definitely recommend this tour!

We had family in from out of town and thought this would be something fun and interesting for us to do. It was a blast and our 11 year old is still talking about it today. Merranda, our guide was awesome! There wasn’t anything we asked her that she didn’t know. We plan to do the ghost tour next and we will definitely be asking for Merranda as our guide!!

Went on the Queen City is haunted tour and Miranda made it interesting with her enthusiasm about the many different historical details of the area. The theater at the end was also cool to look around and see some the the circa 1911 building basement contents and the architecture, I like old buildings and their history.

Our guide was knowledgeable and personable. The tour had a good mix of elements (outdoor & underground, general local history and brewing-specific history, etc). Will recommend to friends looking for things to do especially during social distancing.

My boyfriend and I were looking for something interesting to do in Cincinnati for the day we were in town and we were not disappointed! Our tour guide, Miranda, was friendly, funny, and a fantastic guide! She clearly loves her city and her job, and her excitement makes the tour more fun for everyone.The ultimate underground tour itself was also great, we learned so many new facts about the city and had the opportunity to see buildings and places we would not have otherwise. Most of the tour is above ground, but you do go into the crypts and cellars for a decent amount of time. If you’re looking for a fun and interesting activity in Cincinnati this tour is exactly what you’re looking for!

Really enjoyed the Haunted OTR tour with Miranda (pictured). She was very knowledgeable and if we had questions, she had answers. I learned a lot. We heard stories about Symphony Hotel, Music Hall, Washington Park and more. Once we got into the Emery we were provided with ghost hunting tools and allowed to look around ourselves, unfortunately our group didnt experience anything, not sure how legit this part was, but it was fun all the same!

My friends and I took a private Haunted Covington Tour last weekend with Laura. In a time when its difficult to find fun, yet safe, things to do, this was a home run! Laura was fun and interesting, plus we learned some history of the area. Would definitely recommend this tour for adults, teens and children. Ask for Laura!

We did the Gangster Tour in Newport today. It was very informative. We had no idea of the ties of Newport to Las Vegas!! Constant information provided thru the whole tour. Their research was definitely done! We even ran into the major of Newport, he was friendly. Look forward to visiting Cincinnati again and doing some of the other tours!

We did the Ultimate Underground Cincy Tour with Miranda yesterday and had a wonderful experience. She was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very personable which made her the perfect tour guide! This tour’s main focus is the brewing history of Cincinnati and seeing the underground tunnels that were found in 1994 was a highlight. Overall though my favorite part of the tour was going into St Francis Seraph Church and learning the origins of OTR. I plan on seeing if American Legacy offers other types of tours to learn more of Cincinnati’s rich history specifically in the Underground Railroad and the arts.

Fun fact-there were more beer-sellers per capita in OTR than anywhere at the time. Laura was passionate and enthusiastic about her subject. I can’t wait to take another tour. Also, I’m moderately claustrophobic and was worried about the underground part of the tour, but I was fine-I never got that closed-in feeling. I highly recommend-for locals and visitors alike.
