Player evaluations from coaches and 1:1 Zoom meetings during social distancing have been key to keeping our player motivated. Communication is better with Cincy SC than any other club sport we have been part of.

I have two girls that switched from another club last year. Best move we ever made. The coaches and trainers are amazing at all age levels. The interaction with parents is wonderful. Can’t give enough praise to the whole club. Also the parents are always welcoming to new players and really reach out to help and make everyone feel welcome. They are the best in my book.

We joined the club a few years ago, and love the focus on player development, the coaching style, and the small, family-like feel of the club. The directors are receptive to member suggestions (they even held a contest to help design the new jerseys!) and make soccer fun! The communication about all aspects of the club is excellent. They keep teams competitive, but understand the importance of soccer and personal life balance for the kids and parents. The core values they hold the players, parents and coaches accountable to are evident in the play on the field as well as off. Looking forward to many seasons to come!

I have two sons in the club and have been very impressed with the level of training and coaching offered to each boy (who have different coaches). The level of communication by the club is top-notch! I appreciate the flat-rate fee which includes uniforms and training gear. There are no monetary surprises families have to accommodate. I would recommend Cincy SC to any soccer player interested in a positive and player-focused club experience.

We have two children at Cincy SC,daughter age 9-second year and son age 12 first year. Both moved from another local club and we can not express how much we love this club, the directors, coaches, parents and players. The training is top notch and improvement in skills is evident. They are invested in the community of the club and greater community and host/offer additional training sessions, community events, that are just great and allow all members of the club to connect. The directors coach, train, and are hands on in all sessions/games and they create a really fun, learning environment where kids connect, develop and continue to love soccer, their club, and teammates.

Weve been with the club for 3 seasons now and have no complaints. The communication is top notch. They are very organized. We always know when and where all team activities are going to take place pretty far in advance. This is very helpful with multiple kids doing different activities during the week. Our son has learned a lot of great skills, but more importantly, he has been shown how to be a team player and good sport. Those attributes will help him off the filed too! Im all too happy to recommend Cincy SC to anyone who asks. Your child will be a better player and person for joining this club!

Cincy SC is an amazing club! Cincy SC, Brett, Russell, Coach Jason E., and many wonderful trainers played the single role in helping my daughter feel good about herself as an individual soccer player. Through positive coaching, encouragement and lots of effort my daughter has developed into a wonderful player! Many thanks to this club!

Our son is in his third year at Cincy SC. At this point, I think he bleeds orange and blue. His development as a player has been fantastic and I know that I owe a great deal of that to his coaches at Cincy SC. Additionally, I appreciate the crisp parent communications and no surprises fee structure. And, did I mention the New Balance uniforms? The kids really stand out on the pitch and each year the club enrolls the kids and parents in developing new designs. Net, our investment (time and money) was a great decision.

My grandson has been playing with Cincy SC for two years. He really enjoys playing on the team and has greatly improved his skills. The coaching is very personal in that the coach really cares about the boys and the team and takes the time to explain how they can improve both individually and as a team. We love the sense of professionalism and camaraderie that Cincy SC provides.Plus, we love the Epic Cup at the end of the Season.

Our family has been with Cincy SC since the club began. We came here after a very disappointing experience our 9 year old (and youngest) child had at our prior clubs tryouts. Feeling like she had no place to play soccer, someone said, Russell Lewis just started a new club. I emailed Russell immediately and he said, Bring her on up! We have a spot for her! Or, he said something like that. He speaks a bit of a different form of English than me ;) Our youngest is now 14. We also brought her 19 year old brother and 16 year old sister over along the way. Her brother now plays soccer in college. Her sister continues to play spring soccer with Cincy SC.My son played with an elite travel team for a year in middle school. He tried it out and it served its purpose for a bit of time. But we were done with that experience when were realized that spending entire weekends in a car wasnt the way we wanted to live. Coach Erik Larson at Cincy SC taught my daughters U12 team just as much in one season about passing and working together than my son learned in a year. And, I didnt have to drive an hour each way to practice! Coach Erik was just one of many who have shaped my daughter into who she is as a player and person today. My daughter has had Coaches Corey, Heather, Brett, and now Kasey. They have all been awesome!Cincy SC has an amazing staff. The directors and coaches know my children by name. My kids are not numbers. The club feels like family. I can call Brett or Russell at any time. They care about how my children are doing and they want to help. If there ever is a problem that cant be solved, they explain it and then offer a reasonable alternative. Having been a parent administrator for all three of my childrens teams, I know first hand how hard the directors and coaches work to make this club as great as possible for the community. I wouldnt want my children at any other soccer club.

We have found a great community with Cincy SC. This isnt just a soccer club ... its more like a family in many ways. Ive been especially impressed with two things: communication from club directors and player development. When my son joined the club three years ago, only having played rec soccer, he needed a lot development. The coaching and the program at Cincy SC got him to the point where he made his high school soccer team last year.

We both played lots of soccer growing up ourselves so when your child is growing and developing skills AND having fun playing any sport it makes for a very rewarding experience for the whole family.Cincy SC has it dialed in. Our 11-year old daughter is in her second year with Cincy SC. She played previously with another club and her love of and appreciation for the game and her teammates and coaches has grown exponentially. Her technical skills and decision making in game situations improves every season. The club staff have the best interest of the kids as a focus, they dont discourage multi-sport participation or penalize kids for school or family commitments, and have clear, consistent and fair expectations. Winning is not the top priority, executing skills learned in training is celebrated. They are patient and understand that kids develop at different rates, and endeavor to put kids in the right situation for where they are in their development process. Its also tons of fun for my daughter, which is what really matters at this age, in addition to the soccer, fitness and life lessons shes picking up along the way.

Our experience at the club has been overwhelmingly positive. My daughter, who has been with the club for several years now, continues to learn and have fun. The organization and communication seem to be better than other clubs, based on what I have learned from other parents. In all we are very happy. That isnt to say that everything is perfect. The current lack of a club training facility makes things more awkward and difficult. The club seems to be doing a reasonable job of handling a difficult situation, but it isnt ideal. While I wont go so far as to say the club is perfect, I think they score quite well by reasonable standards. I would recommend this club to any parent without hesitation.

My U11 son has been at Cincy SC since the beginning of the year. Weve seen his technical skills increase dramatically in a short period of time. Over the winter, he had indoor futsal training with the Boys director of coaching, often in 5 on 1 sessions. Outdoor training has focused on skills, fundamentals and strategy, laying a foundation for when smash and grab wont win games anymore. Whereas in other clubs, a class system would exist, at least once a week his team will share a training session with the top team of his age group, gaining exposure to more experienced coaching and better competition.Just yesterday, his team lost their game 2-1. The other team bombed the ball forward, using brute force to push the ball into the goal. Their one goal was the result of ball control, passing, moving into space, give and go. They didnt get the results, but theyre learning to play in a way that will prepare them for the future, which is what we were looking for.

It’s important to know who is managing the culture and direction of the club. Meet Brett Dickson and Russell Lewis, Co-Founders of Cincy SC. These two guys couldn’t be much different with respect to their personalities, but both are very much the same when it comes to engaging parents, players, and peers with respect and recognition. I emphasize ‘recognition’ as both will stop, shake your hand, look you in the eye, and engage you in a quick bit of conversation even though they are busy with club business. In other words, they genuinely make you feel appreciated as part of the club. The coaches that Brett and Russell bring into the club absolutely reflect the culture of respect and excellence that they are promoting. You WILL find coaches that are personable and have high expectations of their players. You will NOT find coaches that scream rhetorical questions like “Did you forget how to play soccer?!” at players during games. You will NOT find coaches that harass referees with statements like, “I think I know the rules better than you do!” In the interest of full-disclosure, I am not a coach with the club, but am a parent with an ‘E’ license; which I acquired within the last two years. During these training sessions, I met a gentleman that was so experienced and so helpful to everyone else in earning their diploma, he quickly became my favorite person over the duration of the course. While this was largely a formality for him, where he could have skated through without a serious amount of effort, he was doing everything he could to help others be successful in their own efforts. Imagine how pleased I was to see that Russell Lewis brought this individual into Cincy SC as a coach this last year. These are the types of coaches that Russell and Brett have representing Cincy SC.While top teams of other large clubs often have 2 active coaches, their ‘lower tier’ teams will only have one and that coach might have multiple teams for the season. The operative word here is ‘active’ coaching. The second coaching resource on a lower-tier team is generally nothing more than a ‘phantom’ with respect to training and development. There are no ‘phantom’ coaches at Cincy SC. Cincy SC fields two teams in each division and they generally train together; which means you always have two capable resources delivering instruction and corrections. What could very well be the secret weapon of Cincy SC is the complimentary skill-sets of Directors Russell and Brett. If you experience it, you like it, and may even take it for granted (just a little). But these two guys have effectively leveraged an over-arching training plan for the club with a penchant for over communication (if that can be done). Every week, a detailed training plan of what my daughters will be working on hits my Inbox. This isn’t just a couple of paragraphs and a loose description of training to be delivered; these are legitimate US Soccer-style training plans that detail the drills, objectives, and coaching points. These plans are always accompanied by links to YouTube videos that illustrate the skills/drills in live action. While other clubs, smaller ones included, can make you feel like a ‘mushroom’ (intended or not), Cincy SC does a superb job helping you understand what your child will be learning (and why). No other club that we have been associated with comes close to this level of organization and effort spent to integrate the parent. Our family’s experience with Cincy SC has obviously been a great one. Our daughters really like their coaches and have enjoyed competitive games in appropriately placed divisions. We are most appreciative of the Directors, Coaches, and Administrators of the club for their unique approach their program and commitment to excellence. If you are looking for a truly different and better soccer experience for your child, Cincy SC is a worthy option to investigate.

We LOVE our team and the staff at Cincy SC. These guys get it - they are passionate about the game and in growing their players. They dont yell and scream but instead give criticism as well as praise to help the kids grow as players. They dont coddle; they push for improvement. My daughter has learned so much more than just foot skills, but also about strategy and team work. And they are just fun to work with and be around. I spent two years as a player at Cincy SC. This club is far from the image that it attempts to display. The club is essentially run by its two directors and the coaches are told what they should teach their players. They have no home facility and expect people to pay $1200+ for two seasons instead of paying for one season like a regular club. The club does well with the younger teams, however, for $1200+ the experience is definitely NOT worth the price. The facility that is shown on google maps is actually not where they practice. The directors have forced out the coaches who do not see eye to eye with their philosophy and there are some serious financial questions within the club. I am a soccer player and I do not want other kids to make the mistake of joining this club and then quitting the sport because they had a bad experience at this “club.”

Beware of this club! They are crooked. My daughter played for this club on the top 04 team for the last 2 years. The 1st year seemed to be fine, but the 2nd year turned into a circus. Talk about a mess. Our coach was told that he was not allowed to condition the team because it was against club regulations. One of our teams strengths the 1st year was being able to outlast other teams at the end of games and gain the win. Also, they do not have a practice facility anymore. The Village of Newtown has forbidden them to use the plot of land they rented until they build a permanent entranceway, parking lot and working bathrooms. Based on the amount of players that left the club after this season and their tryout turnouts for the upcoming season, Im guessing theyre not going to have enough money for that. So, not sure what theyre going to do for practices this upcoming season. If it is anything like last season, you can expect too many teams practicing in a small, unsafe area being taught a very basic curriculum, regardless of the age of the player. What this club is, in my opinion, is a high recreational league club, not a competitive select club that will better your child and have them competing in quality tournaments. Brett, the director who seems to be the decison-maker, did not like our coach and did everything he could to bring our team down, which he successfully did in the end. The coach still has not been paid for his services yet and he is not the only one not paid or paid less than what was contracted for. 2 girls from the team quit playing soccer completely because they had such a bad experience. To my knowledge, only one girl from the team chose to return to the club and all others went on to better clubs. Beware! Run away! Do not believe the rhetoric that comes out of either of the directors mouths. It has proven to be lies many times in our experience. Please check around before committing to this club.Response to the owner: That is the response I expected. Same rhetoric I heard from this club all year. Please, parents and players, know what you are getting into and do your research. Ask around.
