Five stars simply arent enough. Hosting my daughters 65-guests breakfast wedding reception at the Greenwich House Gallery was the best decision we could possibly have made. Not only is this a lovely venue, but Anna is so kind, accommodating, resourceful, and cooperative that I felt like she was part of the family. From the moment we first met to discuss the possibility to the day we came back to clean up, she was with us all the way! This was my first time hosting a wedding and, like every mother-of-the-bride, I wanted it to be perfect. Anna did too. She went above and beyond to assist us in every way—she even recommended the caterer and rental company we ended up using. Having hosted numerous events in the gallery, she was experienced in how best to set up the space and offered us suggestions and assistance. Yet she never expected us to take her advice. And she was more than willing to do whatever we asked—even to the point of switching out artwork that may not have worked with our color scheme. As it turned out, the art on display at the time of our reception, worked wonderfully so we kept everything as it was.Since this was a breakfast reception, we utilized the space in the salon for a coffee bar. (Anna converted the framing table for us and freed up space on the bookshelves for the coffee mugs we rented.) In the entrance foyer, we set up the mimosa and bellini bar which led into the front gallery where we used Anna’s high top tables for cocktail hour. We put sheer drapery panels in all the windows to soften the look and the wedding cake was placed on a display pedestal. This center gallery leads into another gallery where we set up all the tables. Each of these rooms has a small raised platform in front of the windows which worked perfectly for the bride and groom’s half-round table in the dining room and the wedding cake in the other. What is also nice is the facility has a large gallery in the back, which could accommodate more tables, but we used this space for the buffet and, again it worked beautifully. There’s a small kitchen, a lovely restroom, a storage area, and even a beauty salon available for use which was icing on the cake! My daughter was able to have her make-up artist and hair stylist meet there early that morning so she could get ready on site. (The ceremony itself was performed in Ault Park, but with the weather so tenuous, we could easily have moved into the front gallery for the service if necessary.)It’s only been two days since the wedding and we have been inundated with phone calls and text about how incredible everything was. This quaint little gallery is now on the must visit again list of so many of our guests. It would be a lovely setting for any occasion. A rehearsal dinner was held there the previous Friday complete with music and dancing. They even have a SONOS system in place so we brought our own playlist! I could go on and on, but I think you get the picture. This place is a hidden gem! We absolutely loved it!!!
