Course conditions were reasonable, fairways a little patchy for October but greens were nice and running 9/10. Carts are nice and new, driving range is off of mats but ok. Pro shop is pretty well stocked. Staff was decent, not super attentive but did an ok job

DO NOT GOLF THERE!!!! Had 1245 tee time on a Sunday, Didnt get off till 1:05 and had to walk because they were out of carts. Front 9 took THREE HOURS. Yes, 3 hours. Then quit after that because my feet were killing me and we werent going to finish before sunset. I wouldve been happier just burning my $77. Horrible experience

Fun course but it was saturated with water. Actually plugged drives in the fairways. Probably much better when not playing in mud all day.

Nice lunch special! We enjoyed a senior rate. A few greens not in great shape. Cart gal not wearing a mask. The mowers never seemed to stop within earshot of golfers--kinda distracting.... New, comfortable carts, complete with GPS.

Played back in June and it was the best shape it’s been in since the 90’s. Played yesterday, 3 months later, and now a complete dog track! Unbelievable! SD open here in October and course is not in playable shape! Seriously same shape as Chula Vista muni! And $100 green fees to boot! Management NEEDS to postpone the San Diego open! Course is an embarrassing joke!

Played here 8/9/20. Not sure whats going on with this place. Love the layout. This has always been a fun track. The fairways were in bad shape. seems like theyre drowning the place. Lots of mud everywhere. The tee boxes were pretty beat up. The greens were nice though. Ill probably wait a few months before I golf here again to see if they improve the fairways. Definitely not worth the money at this time.

It was fun. Could of said the course was punched. The greens are tiny. Do not book online. Youll find that that is just a convenient fee so called. Youll pay around $150. For that price you can do better.

9/27/2020 This is the worst I have ever seen this course. Crab grass in the tee boxes so you cant find a decent spot to place your ball. No fringe on the greens and bad rollout on the greens. Fairways were overgrown and patchy with park like grass. Not what I expected for 75 bucks. It is playing like a 20 municipal course. The best thing about the round was the suite seats and Bluetooth speakers built into the carts. Other than that cart speeds were regulated so they were super slow and took forever to get to your ball. Also the food is expensive almost 5 bucks for a hotdog? Ridiculous. I would say look elsewhere for a round if you are going to pay this price. I wouldnt pay more that 35 with a cart to play here again. Also, green fees are the same regardless if you walk or ride. Another negative.

This course is in pristine condition for summer golf. Under new management the treatment of the fairways, greens, and hazards has been great for the course. Better than ever. A few notes for golfers during Covid-19: masks must be worn at all times, walking or carts are both options (each individual person must get a cart, but that will make the round go by faster), takes have been removed in bunker. No touching pin flags, just putt into the cup pin in.

Course was in great shape. High end golf carts...would love to play again whenever I am in San Diego..

Great course. Havent played here in years but the course is well kept and my daughter loved the carts. Not a huge fan of the collar rule even on the driving range but it is what it is.

Played about a dozen rounds here over the last several years. Understanding the ownership changed a few years back, I’ve been very happy with the changes. The course seems to be growing nicely from fairways to greens.I enjoy playing golf and if the greens aren’t good, I won’t generally bother to play the course. I’m very happy that the new owner has put such emphasis on greens.Fairways are getting better, adding new bunkers, tee boxes. Hoping the course continues to get better.Only wishlist items for me would be turning on the range lights in the evening, and updating the restrooms/locker rooms. Of course these aren’t major changes, but they would be nice.

The Staff is friendly, the food is good, and the greens are usually in good condition. Beautiful Course with gorgeous views

Played there today 8/27/20. Had not played there for a while. Well now they charge 100.00 to play. Not what we paid. Heard the course was remodeled. Well it was the same course. Only difference they charge 100.00 now. My friends voweled never to play there again.

This place is terrible. They banned us because we weren’t wearing a polo shirt. We only came for the driving range and we still got banned. They are trying be a nice country club but they will never become close to that.

Pleasantly surprised! Course has plenty of variety, and some beautiful holes. Fairways were in good shape, and the greens were okay. The cart was excellent and provided some useful guidance. Paid $32 on golfnow. Teed off at 6:45 and I was done by 10:30. Lots of interesting holes requiring many different shots. Fun time!

Course is under construction, greens are good, but fairways need a lot of work. If course work is ever done, it would be worth returning. Amenities are decent. Clean pro shop and restaurant. Staff are friendly and helpful. Practice facilities are good, definitely worth visiting and returning. Not easily accessible from nearby streets, make a plan to Google directions if you are not familiar with the area.

We love this course, a place my sons and I always looked forward to playing. We particularly liked the early morning back-9 special and would do this a couple of times a month—gets you out into the brisk air and leaves open the rest of the day. To our dismay this special has been eliminated (price was raised $13 additional and tee time pushed 40 minutes earlier clearly, it seems, to discourage play). It was explained to us that large groups were abusing the special to the annoyance of full members. Our hope is that management re-visit this offering and try to bring it back. The joy and bonding of play at your course we hope will not become a distant memory. Thank you for any consideration.

The facility has improved tremendously. I enjoyed thier new fast greens about (11 on the meter). The fairways were well maintained and the bunkers have the proper amount of sand in them. I also want to include that this hidden gem had good customer service they were friendly and teetimes were timely. I will be back, thanks for the experience.

I use to play this course frequently, Green fees are now $100, good luck.

I went to play the back nine this morning only to have a rude and somewhat angry desk guy tell me they changed their rules and back nine play is reserved for members only. It’s not posted any where you have to go and have a rude individual tell you this new rule.

Best condition Ive ever seen this course. Clearly the new owner is making improvements. However, rack-rate green fees are out of line.

First time Ive played Eastlake in a couple of years and it has improved greatly. Greens and fairways are in great shape and the bunkers have sand in them! A far cry from what it was before, the new owners and staff are doing a great job. Will be adding Eastlake back in the roration.Played Enagic again recently and it has gotten better. Greens are in great shape and the fairways and rough lush. You can tell the amount of effort this place is giving to make the course bettet for a couple of high profile tournaments to be played here. The cost has gone up but its worth it. Improved quality of play and its reputation in the area should follow.

Course was in good shape. Fairways are being refurbished and there are some bare spots. Other than that it was great.

I played this course for years and years, slowly watching it be run into the ground. Came back out for the first time in quite awhile and was pleased with the improvements. The new ownership seems to be placing an emphasis on course maintenance, as they were actively working this afternoon. The new greens still have a ways to go but you can see the potential. There are quite a few bare, hardpan spots tee to green. Golf shop wasn’t particularly friendly this afternoon and range balls should really be included considering their poor condition. 5 star reviews for this track is a bit much at this point but is headed in the right direction!

Be good if yall make discounts for Eastlake Residents

The greens are about 6 to 8 weeks before maturity. The fairways are not open to motorized carts. Cart path only. The roughs are really tall, uncut for weeks. The bunkers have been replenished with new white sands. The course will be ready and beautiful again in late Jan or early Feb 2019. This is only my estimate.

This place is amazing. Nestled in the east part of Chula Vista. We came to play golf and ended up having a blast. Our friends are members so we will be back soon.

After 3 months of being closed I played the course today severely disappointed and even more upset that they charged us full price when more than half of the greens are nearly unacceptable to putt on. I am severely disappointed and I will not bring my golf club out here to play this course probably for the rest of 2019 save your money play someplace else. The South bay needs its crown Jewel golf course restored.

A very fun-to-play golf course. The fairways were in excellent condition. The greens were very slow but that is probably because it rained a ton two days earlier and they were able to get any equipment on the greens. The pro shop staff and maintenance crew are super polite and friendly. A fairly easy course from the white tees. Lots of interesting and visually beautiful holes. Highly recommended.

The course is in bad shape. I cant explain it. They will be closing for 3 weeks to begin repairs/upgrades. I dont think that will produce enough results. Very sad situation. 5th fairway (pictured) may have been the most playable.

Many of the greens are being regrown and are unplayable. The fairways are nice and green. The roughs are VERY rough. No price break and no warning from the desk.

They are currently switching from Eastlake Country Club to Enagic Golf Club. The course is being upgraded but the grass itself is in good condition. I will keep coming back!

Worst experience golfing EVER. Horrible place to get your round in. Clubhouse completely inhospitable.To owner: I’d be happy to add here what happened... We had a special deal coupon that we presented on arrival. The deal included a round, cart, and lunch. I paid for everyone’s round in our group. At the turn (and with the course in pretty bad shape), we mentioned to the front desk staff a discrepancy in the charge, two dollars more per person, and no meal voucher. He then preceded to tell us we don’t honor that coupon, nor will we honor your lunch... With little to no real justification. In my book, the customer is always right. It would have been nothing to honor at least the meal, if not the discount. NOTHING was done. And EVERYONE there was complicit... That is poor service, and poor policy in my book.

Coming back to being a great course fun track

Brought my family from Wisconsin here on Sunday for a round of golf thinking it was a pristine course but they were very disappointed when the greens were patchy and bumpy and the fairways were brown and bare. We all played on better courses for half the price. This is the second time I came here and was disappointed with course conditions. We paid $240 total and in my opinion it was definitely not worth it. I won’t be recommending this place to any of my golf friends or family.

Very nice layout, course in good shape except for the traps. Very nice specials for green fees and lunch.

This course deserves no stars as there is nothing good to say about it. The greens are dying and have been painted green so you dont see how bad they are. I left after 12 holes as it was horrible. Stay away from this place and the management should be ashamed to even send people out.

Not a great course in any way. Poor practice facilities that are almost always overrun by a lot of Korean groups making it difficult for anyone else to use the facilities. No bunker for practice either. The course is okay but they do cart path only on several holes which slows down play. Not worth the money.

Currently rebuilding. Its come a long way and had some more to go. But cudos to the new management

First time playing the course, I was impressed with the course and the greens, very well groom and maintained. Its not a easy course but sure had some beautiful views, I would play again, it was worth it.

Very unsatisfied with the treatment we reveived by the new owners of the club. We were told to only use the cart path because of maintenance, but the new owners of the club were playing behind us and able to go anywhere on the course. They complained we were slow, but we were playing best ball and going at the proper pace.We will never golf Eastlake golf course again!

Good corrse design. Most hooks seem to roll back to the fairway.at times the course is dry. But a cart with GPS is always included. So that is nice.

Fairways were overseeded. It was like hitting off the rough! Greens are always in terrible condition. Plenty of better courses in San Diego. Unless you can get a great deal. Id go some where else.

Challenging course. not too busy either, could take care of there greens a bit better but seems to be the norm in San Diegos hot dry weather and the drought
