This place is amazing. The camping area is opposite of the day use facilities and has the lake separating both. Kid and dog friendly with enough space between sites to enjoy your stay without disturbing others.

I used to love this place but it’s so full of gopher holes, you can’t walk anywhere. We camped here in a 37’ motorhome. They first put us in site #34 and the 50 amp didn’t work. After a few days we moved to site #21 and the sewer hook up didn’t work and they didn’t have anyway to fix it. I think they should offer me money back. Definitely didn’t get what we payed for

This is a deceptively nice little spot in an area that I would not have normally looked for a campground. Most all of the spots have plenty of shade and even on hot days the breeze picks up in the afternoon making it feel much cooler than the thermometer shows. There is tons of space to walk, bike or let the kids run and play. There is not much real hiking, but plenty of grass, paths and open areas. The campground and day use areas were clean when we were here. However, the lake was pretty gross. There was a good amount of trash and beer cans discarded along the waters edge. There is also a major algae and bacteria bloom in the lake. Not that I blame the park for this, but the water is green and slimy. The lake looked nice viewed sitting at our campsite, not so much close up.If youre looking for camping thats a quick getaway, then this is an awesome spot. If your highlight is sitting at the edge of the lake, I might look elsewhere.

Nice place. A bit hot this time of year. It took about two hours to walk around that the lake at a chill pace taking pictures and in no hurry. Not all cramped up between RVs. did not get to fish as it was not allowed due to bacteria. Bum deal lots of fish jumping out of water. Bring some ant spray and bug spray. I would go back. Feresbe golf or whatever you call it was popular there.

Wish they were open later in the summer. I’m a photographer and love bringing my clients for photos to this park, but it’s pretty impossible to visit the park during the time the sun sets since the park closes so early at 5pm which is way too early to catch the sunset in the summer. We’ve also RV camped here before and was very pleasant overall. Would be a 5 star if they extended their hours for the summer months.

Can’t say enough good things about this park, dog friendly, many walking trails, disc golfing, off roading track for toys, little lake (no swimming right now due to algae) but still nice to look at. Equestrian trails and barn, full hook up with dump in sites, tent camping areas, lots of picnic tables, and the staff is friendly and change trash cans every single day. Park staff is always driving around, police drive through the park regularly and they have gated coded entrance. Really nice family park with beautiful playground and well maintained. My husband, dogs and I really enjoyed ourselves & I could see us definitely visiting again maybe even soon that’s how much we loved it.

When we first started full timing in our new to us RV this was one of our main places to stay while we figured out rv living. Every space we stayed was easy access for our 37 foot class A motorhome. The few times that we had any issues, all it took was one call to the front gate and it was resolved immediately. Staff was great. Very helpful. Beautiful fire pits, the park was well maintained. Clean showers. Enough trees for shade but open enough to learn how to set up our satellite system with no problems. Yes there is a barn area but if you dislike that, plenty of rv spaces all through the park that its your choice if you are near the barn area. Yes the wonens prison is nearby, but we never had an issue in any way shape or form. When we booked ahead even when the enteance clised for the day, we had a gate code and easy access to pull in at our convenience.

We play disc golf at this park on a regular basis and love it. We have also camped on the other side of the lake and its a nice clean park with clean bathrooms and outhouses that are very clean in the middle of the disc golf course. Plus, its a regional park so you can drink beer while you play. We get the annual pass for $60 so we dont have to pay $10 everytime we visit. Great deal and nice atmosphere, views, etc.

Big park with pretty lake. We tent-camped over the weekend and had a nice huge site with adequate trees for shade in the hot weather. Nice views to the mountains and not many cars on roads visible from our site helps you feel like you are getting away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. Clean park with well maintained roads. Toilets get a 3.5 out of 5... Clean, flushing toilets, not too smelly, but sinks have no soap and faucets that only put out water while you are pressing the button. Things to do here include frisbee-golf, but the splash pad, boating and huge kids playground were shut down due to COVID-19.

Is a quite and calm place good for getting out of the new normal RONA daily lifes. However some of the hook ups for electricity and water need repair. Our campaign site was nothing but a puddle of mosquitos infested water. The spigot leaked so much water that the cement and road next to it was so damp underneath it was sinking in. Bathrooms had no soap and toilet paper.

One point for being close, one point for having showers, one point for having water and electric hook ups. Other than that nothing too great, the water is filthy and you cant go in it or shouldnt let your pets near it nor should you try to fish, theres a lot of dirt around and tons of gofer holes so watch your step, uneven spots, crazy bugs anywhere near the water. Not much shade, no grass, and kind of expensive for what you get.

I have been going to Prado for both just fishing with my Father over 45 yes to camping with my husband over 10 years. Nice park to fish and camp. Fishing is good and for camping its clean, quiet and the spots are nice. The close up spots you can view the lake. They have a few larger areas to camp with larger cement areas. The grass spots are fine also. Up towards the front of lake they have a small boat dock. No store anymore sadly. They now have a nice water park section now as well. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Call early to get a great spot because those spots are book fast. The camp area is near the Womens prison and you can here their speakers if you camp in the first section. Its not that bad. E joy your next trip n let me know how your experience was.

We stay here with our fifth wheel and it is one of our favorite spots. Water, sewer, trash, and electricity are included in the nightly fee, and a laundry area (albeit small) is available for use at a reasonable rate. There are 75 sites available, in at times it fills up very quickly, so plan ahead. Stays are limited to 15 days per one month period. Very dog-friendly and family-friendly with numerous areas to walk, hike, ride bikes or scooters, etc, as well as horses. The playground is a great one, though a few minor areas could use some upgrades or repairs; a splash pad is available during the summer.Sunrises and sunsets can be gorgeous if you catch a good one. Rangers are always friendly and helpful, as is the office staff when. Fishing, boating, and disc golf are also available. Firewood and bait are often available at the main gate, and they sell out quickly, especially on weekends.RV sites are well-spaced, with lots of green space, frequent bathrooms and trash cans. We have never used the showers, but if I remember correctly they are a dollar for five minutes and use quarters. Bathrooms arent the best and could use some updating, but are plentiful throughout the park.A few things you may want to know ahead: this park is located in prime dairy farm areas; if the wind is right, you will absolutely smell that. There are a lot of mosquitos and ants at times, so bring bug spray for you AND the outside of your rig! It is also right next to a womens prison; if you camp in lower numbered sites you seem to be able to hear announcements more than in higher numbered sites.Group camp areas and day use sites seem to have a lot of use, with some really cool events held at the park on occasion. Sometimes that means traffic in and out of the gate is pretty crazy, but the RV sites are at the farthest end of the park from the gate and day use, so they are a bit more of a buffer from that. There is no camp store onsite, but there are tons of stores and lots of shopping within a 10 mile range. Despite signs to the contrary, there is no snack bar. Laundry area consists of two washers and two dryers, so be prepared to wait your turn if it is in use, or take a bit longer if you have a lot of laundry; bring quarters as there is no change machine. All things considered, this is a great place to stay and we have yet to deal with drunken, loud, obnoxious campers like many other RV sites seem to be plagued with. While the weekends can get busy, week days and nights are pretty quiet and peaceful. Great place to add to your RV camping list!
