Waited in concession line 25 minutes for tickets... didnt want snacks. They need to put someone out front to just sell tickets. Staff said it was still playing previews. Not true. It was pitch black and missed opening credits. Still dont know why a boy is hanging from a net, or why a sweet girl is in Dolittles house. Might need to pay again to see the beginning of movie.

It’s a great place.But food and drinks are too expensive.If they don’t want us to sneak snacks in Lower the prices.But other than that great place.

A decent Theater. Usually has the movie youre looking for. Unfortunately the only Chillicothe option. Often some type of issue experienced; sound quality, cleanliness, friendliness. Prices decent could be better.

Any idea as to when youll be reopening? Ive never had a bad experience at this theatre and its very convenient.

My first two seats I chose were broken.. and the volume to the movie wasnt even loud enough. All you could hear were people eating their popcorn

Prices are normal for a movie theater, snacks are going to be overpriced because thats where theaters make their money. The problem is the quality of the theater itself. The speakers go in and out throughout the movie, the chairs are so outdated Ive considered bringing my own lawn chair, and you can always hear the other movies playing in the theaters around you. With this being the only theater in a city with a decent size population, along with all of the people that travel from other smaller cities, you would think they could afford some updates. I wouldnt mind even paying a little more to make it worth going to my local movie theater rather than drive to Lancaster or Columbus to feel like Ive seen and heard the movie.

I have gone here multiple times growing up, and have never had any problems or concerns. I would recommend this cinema to anyone who likes high quality movies.

Nice, comfortable seats. Movie played with no problems. Concessions were lacking Icees and anything with cheese. That area was also dirty. Patrons may have contributed to the mess on our side of the counter, but the employee area had visible dirt and spills. Womens bathroom was absolutely disgusting, including no soap in more than half the dispensers. A great place to see a movie, but nothing else.

Would be a great experience if they upgraded their seats to high back recliners. Their seats are not comfortable at all. Prices were reasonable, staff friendly and snacks not too high for a movie theater.

Half of the speakers in the auditorium didnt work (surround sound is less immersive when sound only comes from the front and right), and the colors on the screen were washed out. Seats are so worn out that the padding might as well not be there. Ive seen bargain theaters better maintained; I expected better for a first-run theater with full price tickets.

Unfortunately the theater is very old. Some seats broken, stained & uncomfortable. Sound will be distorted or unclear at times. Screen isnt a sharp image. Always a dirty, unkept theater. Could definitely use a lot of updating. However, I suppose its better than no theater at all that is local

Price was reasonable. Its the only the game in town as far as movie theaters go. There is a Groupon deal for two tickets plus refreshments. The sound pollution between theaters for anything that isnt their top run movie is substantial.

The place is absolutely filthy! Rolls of paper towels in the womens restroom just thrown on the counters instead of put in dispensers, broken stall doors and locks, trash everywhere. Games and other surfaces coated in dust and grime and food crumbs. Gum on the floors. Very disappointed.

Are you in Chillicothe and unwilling to drive to a newer state of the art theater. Fear not. This theater will have some movies, popcorn and soda. Beyond that just shut up and be happy there is still a theater in chillicothe.

Been to two movies here, first experience was pretty standard, second was awful. Both theaters on either side of us could be heard loud and clear the entire time. Will probably make the trip up to Columbus for another movie while I am in Ohio

Today was the first time I have visited in a while, and the place has really gone down hill. It was very run down looking- the carpet and seats had obvious signs of wear. They could only accept cash at the time of our visit and we were told the atm “might work,” thankfully I had cash. The bathrooms were filthy and multiple stalls were out of order. The staff wasn’t very friendly and couldn’t be bothered to wait on us until after they had finished their conversation. We could also hear the movie in the theater next to our during our movie. Overall, I wasn’t thrilled with our visit to Danbarry.

I have always enjoyed the movies here. Sad to see the carpet, stair lights worn out. Stair edges with duct tab and my wifes chair was broken and yet still open for use. I must also say that the amount of old snacks remaining on the floor looks like they did not clean up after Saturday nights shows. We went on a Sunday afternoon matinee. Glad to see the arcade games still there. Overall a good place, just time for some money go back into the facility.

Half the speakers didnt work in the theater. We stated to staff they said they would take care of it but never fixed it. After the movie we reported it again and management/ staff said its not their department and rolled their eyes. Paid full price.. Will and never return!!

I recently moved to the area and realized there are a whole lot of theaters, so we decided on this one. I will definitely be going somewhere else next time. We were the only 2 people in the theater, but the floors were sticky and absolutely disgusting. The task of finding halfway clean chairs was a chore too. The AC was on for a few minutes, but it was hot throughout almost all of the movie. Any recommendations on a good theater nearby? Or should we just stick with Springdale?

This is the worst theater I’ve ever been too. You can always hear the movie next to you and it’s so distracting. I live in Chillicothe and I only go here if it’s last minute because something is almost always gonna go wrong. Either it’s waaaaaay too loud, no audio, lights left on, movie doesn’t start, Etc. etc. I just tried to call at 9 to see if the new Star Wars movie is sold out and no one Answer the phone. Just gonna drive up to Columbus or Lancaster which is almost an hour away like I almost always do.

This is a good theater. Always nice to go early to enjoy a movie

The problem with this theater is the sound quality . No heart felt sound that you normally would have at other theaters. Only high pitch sound with no bass or surround. UPGRADE YOUR SPEAKERS and your seating. And screen room #7 has a white dot in center top of screen during movie.

To start its in a horrible location away from everything else, after you walk in and notice how empty and dirty it is then you notice how the slushy machines are down (Not that big of a deal though). After you order your ticket and start walking to the theater room you continueto see how filthy everything is and as soon as you walk into the room you will start to smell the nasty and old everything, you then take a bite of popcorn and suprise suprise, its stale. This movie theater should just close and let a real movie theater take over, or just go to Lancaster.

Went there tonight with my nephew to see a movie, the woman at the counter asked for ID’s which was fine, then refused to let us in with him because he was 15 although we’ve been to this theatre multiple times with him. She started being rude so we walked outside, decided to see another movie since that was the purpose of going since we live out of town. Went in to get our seats and the man who checked our tickets was also rude after I asked him when they changed the policy on minors not being allowed to go in with adults. His response was “I don’t make the rules.” Got popcorn and a drink, popcorn tasted soggy and stale, coke was watered down. Overall poor experience. One star is way to courteous for tonight.

Used the groupon deal ... 25.00 for 2 tickets, 2 medium popcorn and 2 large drinks....now hopefully my kids dont bring home bedbugs since thats the rumor going around.The property itself needs some MAJOR updating. Grass overgrown and dying, no advertisements outside, inside very old and outdated.

Still waiting on times for movies playing 2/21/2020 on 2/20/2020. Looked on line and called, all automated with no answers. How do you expect people to make plans to see a movie with no information out there ???

Good movies but to expense

WOW thats all I can say! Im so upset with my experience. the theater room was dirty and breaking down. There was seats without arm rests Which is extremely careless on your end. Thirdly you guys just let who ever do whatever in there dont you. There kids sitting in front of us smoking marijuana. We let staff know and nothing was done about it. If that was my staff yall would need to start looking for new jobs. I hope someone in management sees this and does something about it. If it wasn’t for the fact that I had really wanted to see this movie I would have walked out next time I’ll be takingMy business elsewhere.

There is not much options when it comes to theaters around here but its a pretty decent movie theater for there being limited options but if you want the best quality I would say its worth it to drive to somewhere in Columbus but if your just wanting to see something with the family I would recommend this place

Nice movie theater if you have to go in town. Seating is old fashioned, and it is quite frankly overpriced in comparison to movie theaters a short drive away. They have a nice assortment of snacks, but those as well are overpriced. Picture quality is good, movie selection is also good.

We enjoy going here, aside from there being a long period of time where they couldnt accept debit cards due to their machine being down. The staff are friendly, the popcorn is fresh, and the prices are typical of any theater. The last time we visited, we had the entire theater to ourselves around 2 in the afternoon on a weekday. They apparently fixed the card machines, so we were happy about that! Overall great visit.

For being a Small Town Movie Theater they did a great job, great service, drinks, candy well priced, and had good popcorn. Theaters were very clean and staff was friendly. Very helpful getting my friends there tickets when they were meeting me there

Little pricey for matinee & senior tickets. There was only 5 people in the theater I was in. If theyd lower the prices, they would probably have more people coming to the movies. Concession prices are ridiculous.

Great atmosphere. Food a bit pricey but if you live in the area I guess your used to it.

The seats are uncomfortable, everything needs updated, there are several theaters with blown speakers so I completely missed out on entire chunks of my movie, and you can always hear the movie in the showing next to you during yours. The last ten times I’ve been there I swore it would be the last time I go there but I get roped back in because it’s the only close theater.

Not crowded and has everything you want to enjoy a night out at the movies

I came into the movie expecting to see The Grinch, but they told me all they had left were tickets for the Possession of Hannah Grace. I didnt know what that meant as I have lived in a Buddhist household my entire life. I went and saw the movie and discovered that some basic white girl got possessed by some demon, but she didnt really act any differently than the two blonde snobs in the front: basic and plain. 1/5.

My daughter enjoys going to movies here with myself and my mother my mother mostly. They should consider a sensory-friendly day for people who are sound-sensitive because they play their movies way too loud.

Its great because its the only theater in town or anywhere within 30 minutes.

Noise from other screens bled in to our show. We are paying the same as movies in Columbus (Easton) where real estate costs more as well as real estate taxes. We should have the same comfortable reclining seats, better sound systems, and no carry over from adjacent screens.

Good experience today. They had a full staff at the snack bar which was needed when you have the heavy weights and their kids ordering a picnic which takes ten minutes. Place was clean, and friendly staff. Awesome day.

Pricing for movies were fair and about the same as other theaters. Concessions were in line with other theaters, I was disappointed that the popcorn was not kept warm as at other establishments.

Popcorn off the floor tasted kinda old, but the popcorn that I bought was great.

The bathroom always has clogged toilets and sinks. There is a high turnover of staff. You can count on the ice machine to be out of service more than it is working and the popcorn is not warm for day time showings. I have been there for an early matinee and been served the previous nights leftover popcorn but was I given a discounts for my discount popcorn, NO!!!There was a time when our movie was skipping and at one point it just stopped and someone from the theater had to get assistance because the is no theater monitors. The manager wouldnt start it over or back it up to the point of the incident because they were on a time schedule. We lost about 20 minutes of the movie. Then he got irritated because we asked for our money back. He ended up giving us rainchecks for another movie and put so many restrictions on it that it was impossible to use.Danbury of Chillicothe is a horrible establishment that takes advantage of its customers.

How can a movie be on website at 3:45 and when arrive told new time is 5:00!?! HOW WOULD ANYBODY KNOW THIS....

Great customer service at the counter. We went to an early afternoon Secret Life of Pets 2 matinee and were the only ones in the theater for that movie.

Good Choice Of Movies Selection.

Been to this particular theater 2 times in the past month. The first time it was great. Only 2 others in the theater. Warm and clean. This last time, a whole other story. The heat wasnt working. The concession was not very friendly or accommodating.

First time being there and it was a nice place.. Like the way the seating was, not to many seats but enough..It was pretty clean too.

The movie was great! But the employees werent very friendly. It had a fun little arcade inside too.

Casey and the whole management staff rocks! Concessions and other staff will assist you to the best of their ability. Place keeps getting better and better. Great place for a first job.

Went to go see a movie Saturday night Oct. 27..my mom bought popcorn that was from the night before and when I went to buy popcorn there wasnt any there fryer was broken. Went to order a hot dog and the buns were still frozen also went to order pretzels and they had to put them in the microwave, overall service was bad that night. Took forever to get my items

Good theater with plenty of screens. Needs to get snack lines under control. A great place for a kids birthday party. We had one there a couple of years ago and they took care of everything and made it a great experience.

This was my first time going to this movie theater and from my experience that I had was a little sad to say the least one of the games dropped our prize and got stuck causing a sensor malfunction. Witch I could almost deal with but what really got bad was we could hear the movie playing next to us we couldnt hear ours at all then after 2 people complained about it they finally fixed it after it had went off as if a speaker blew. The only reason Im giving it 3 stars was for the staff that directed us and the cop who was friendly and made sure everything was going smoothly.

The picture quality and seats were great but there surround sound is very dated. I went to see the new Jurassic World in 3D so i expected the dinosaurs foot steps and roaring to be extremely better than my tv at home but was disappointed. 32.00 for my granddaughter and i was was not worth the price.

The theater might be dated, but the service and movie experience is not. Plush stadium seating and Sony 4k HD screens make for an awesome viewing environment. Way to go Danbarry!
