We went for the Christmas open house. It was just beautiful and had trees decorated from different years, musicians, and so much more. Extra tour guides to help you. There is a doll room, model train room, Victorian room, and wagon room, more. The kids were fascinated with the horse drawn hearse. There are log cabins outside.

I and a group of like minded people are interested in starting a museum in Portsmouth. We toured this facility and were greatly impressed. Tom Kuhn gave us the gold-plated treatment. Had a wonderful time with my kids the curator was well-informed and the tour that he gave us lasted for about 2 hours it was well worth the time stopping in and looking into all the stuff that happened in the past from the Indians all the way up to now I suggest going there on a Saturday. The curator answered all my kids questions about everything they asked about. I will be going there again before the end of the year

Our tour guide was so sweet and knew what she was talking about. she also knew how to keep her audience paying attention. its such a cool place and one off the most underrated museums in the county.

It was so wonderfulSo much history ofMy home county. The docents were very informative and answered all my questions. I enjoyed the tour so much that I joined it. Everyone should visit it no matter your age.

Lots to see and they talk about lots of different things

This was my first time to visit the historical museum. It was very nice. Ill have to take my magnifying glass so I can read the information under the displays, I guess I getting old.

They have good historical exhibits. Then in the Spring and Fall they have the historical society series.

Pleasure to visit and get a better understanding of our community history.

The staff is amazing! We attend the events for children. We always have a great time!
