Loved this little theater and being able to be right there by the stage felt like you were truly a part of what was going on! I saw death tax by Lucas Hnath .... I loved every minute of it pretty intense at times! Definitely recommend this theater top quality all the way!

The acting was good but the venue itself was very disorganized. I arrived about 30 minutes prior to the start of the play and the door was locked! This is when most plays start seating people and there was someone actually sitting inside and wouldnt let me in! They finally opened the door without a comment. I came in, saw the play and then left. Not angry but it was a little unusual.

I saw King Lear at Redtwist this evening. The performance was strong- I could actually understand most of those Shakespearean speeches ( not easy when actors mumble). Although the house is small, it is not cramped and the seating comfortable. I came away edified and entertained. And the price of tickets is a value.

The plays here are some of the best in Chicago. The acting is phenomenal.

Welcoming box office staff and usher from The Saints. Affordable beverages in vending machine in tiny lobby. Street parking in neighborhood or easy access to public transportation. Close to restaurants that offer discounts for theater-goers. Most importantly, innovative plays are artfully staged and exquisitely performed by a stellar ensemble.

Was unable to make it to a show due to a large snowstorm that had came through. Roads were not plowed and made it unable to attend. Told the box office the situation and they were insistent on no refunds. Big scam. Unfortunate, because we are from Wisconsin and were looking forward to seeing what this place was about. Very disappointed.

Great, small venue. Comfortable seating. Highly professional acting, I can highly recommend the venue and the company based on the performance I attended on 9/23/2018 of Six Degrees of Separation..

Its a small, storefront theater, with a cozy lobby and a vending machine for snacks and drinks. Weve seen 2 shows in their 2018 season and theyve had excellent acting, creative set design, and engaging stories to tell.

I have been to several Redtwist productions. They are always more than I expected: brilliant when I was merely expecting good. This is a theater group in the best traditions of Chicago Storefront Theater. It IS in a storefront: cramped, intimate, yet always amazingly transformed into a living boundless space for the theater presented by the engaging enthusiasm and skills of the company of non-equity actors.

Consistently great theater in an intimate venue. Their shows range from standards (Incident at Vichy, Death of a Salesman) to original, and each of them is powerful and well performed.

A very nice, friendly and very well run little theater. The production of Our Town in Oct 2017 was a highlight of my visit to Chicago. What also impressed was the entire operation. The web site, online booking and front of house all worked very well. The play started close to on-time without the unpardonable delays on other shows. All that might seem like a given but other small Chicago theaters could learn a lot from Redtwist. After battling with some sloppy and disorganised CHI theater companies, Redtwist was a welcome relief.Highly recommended -- keep an eye on Redtwist productions and see their shows.
