The experience of being present in a CCC show is something ineffable. This is not a simple choir: it is a group of young people dancing like ballet and singing with energy and joy. The choreography is great, the singing makes the listeners vibrate. The performance in Milan was an hour of contained emotions. The director is a very attractive woman who moves and sings with her boys and girls. She is able to create an environment of health, happiness and energy. I was a part of the CCC in the mid 80s. They came to my school and did auditions. I believe I was in 5th grade when I became part of the choir. It was an amazing time in my life. I wasnt that good in school and got bullied a lot but going to reversals and being part of such an awesome group of kids from all ethnicities and backgrounds was amazing. Having my family there when we would perform was the icing on the cake. Seeing my Grandma smile when I sung solo for 1 of our Christmas shows was something I will never forget. Mr Moore was great and helped me learn how to use my voice. Because of the CCC i made an album with Ella Jenkins. Hopping around from Place To Place 1&2 was the name of the album. What an amazing experience. Definitely one of the highlights of my childhood. I was a part of the choir until unfortunately my voice started to change and not in a good way. Lol but I am proud and honored to say that I was a part of something so special and I made an album with ELLA JENKINS. I had a small solo speaking part in that to. If you are a Kid and live in Chicago please audition for CCC. It will be an amazing experience. The Holiday concerts are AWESOME. Also please support them in any way you can. Going to a CCC concert is amazing. Have some fun and check them out. Wow this brings back such beautiful memories. RIP MR. MOORE. You made me believe in myself when I couldnt myself.
