I almost want to give this 4 stars, because apparently the Sox dont keep this hallowed spot uncovered in the winter. Thanks to Google Maps satellite view, we were able to pinpoint the plate location and mainly uncover it under a couple of inches of snow and ice. It was really cool standing at the location (well, at least near same location, as the plate was moved a couple of times) as people like Shoeless Joe, Babe Ruth, and rookie Frank Thomas. I would definitely recommend checking it out, whether you are going to a Sox game or not.

So glad they left this here - would be cool if they had more information about history and whatnot near the plate.

Growing up , my family was all sox fans. We used to go to sox games all the time, during the mid 80s I became a cubs fan. But, I still can appreciate the baseball history. Really, only downside is I thought they would have more artifacts or information

Great place to visit for all die hard White Sox fans. You take a step back in time and feel the history of old Comiskey Park.

Hallowed ground for South Siders, this was home plate for the original Sox Park on the north side of 35th Street.
