I would really recommend Ashorina for an event. She got everyone involved in her performances. She also customized her performance to blend in Arabic and Bollywood tunes! Everyone loved her and she was even patient enough to pose for pictures. Thank you Ashorina for making our party a super hit

We hired Safire for our Wedding in late 2019, and it was a lot of fun! I am Egyptian (married to an American) so the whole crowd wasnt familiar with belly dancers, but my family was. The girls did a great performance and I definitely recommend for weddings or parties.Pros:- Great show and performance, had a blast- Got me (the groom) involved and were welcoming when others danced- They do 2 dancers for a show (at least we did that) and alternate one at a time, and change clothes / props, so plenty of fun things to see and keep the crowd pleased- The routine is solid and very true to Arab culture and belly dancing was spot on- Price was fair and a really good dealCons:- I want this to be an honest reviewer so there is only one con, and it is highly dependent on your event. The routine is long and can be up to 30 min, but we asked for it to be a little shorter. My family was very anxious to dance so I knew I wouldnt want to keep them off the floor for long. My suggestion would be to encourage friends to join the dance floor and be involved in the show where they can (if you have my type of crowd that just want to hit the dance floor) and time it properly with your event. Even with this, it worked out great - all of our guests (Egyptians and the ones who have never seen this) loved the show and it was a great Arab touch to our wedding which was culturally American.HOWEVER, if you want a solid show for a wedding, birthday party, social event, this will work out perfectly. They can perform by themselves or have you join in on the dance floor.

We hired Ashorina for my husbands 50th birthday, which was a surprise for him. She did a great job surprising him and all the guests. Ashorina was a great dancer, she started dancing by herself and then she engaged every one in the room. This beautiful girl is such a great entartainer with the variety of moves. We loved her.

Went for a bachelorette party and it was an amazing experience! Very interactive, while adhering to safety procedures. Highly recommend for a night out with the girls!

I am an Egyptian-American who has spent much of my childhood and adulthood living in the Middle East, so I have seen my fair share of belly dancing performances (Sherihan even wanted a picture with me when I was a cute little kid in Cairo ;) ) Finding quality belly dancers for my wedding in the U.S. seemed like a very overwhelming and borderline impossible task.I stumbled upon Safire Belly Dancers of Chicago during online research and was instantly blown away by their skill, beauty of costumes, and professionality. Also, it was refreshing to finally find performers that were trained and educated in the culture and history behind belly dancing, not just some blonde girls practicing culture appropriation (most of the other options I had found. :/)From the very start of my communication with Vanessa and Ashorina, I knew I had made a perfect choice. They were so sweet and responsive, assuring me that they would create a fully Egyptian focused routine for my wedding. They even offered to start up dabke before they left, which was a huge hit with my guests! The cost of the performance is very affordable, especially for the quality of performance you receive in return. They communicated and coordinated flawlessly with my DJ, and were prompt and ready to go right on time!I can honestly say that Vanessa and Ashorinas amazing performance was the highlight of my wedding. The half-hour went by too fast, and we could have watched them all night. Our guests will still not stop talking about how entertaining and energetic the show was, how beautiful the costumes and props were, and how much fun they had! V. and A. even incorporated my husband, bridesmaids, and I into the show, and we have photos and videos to sustain a lifetime of fantastic memories! Our Arab and Egyptian guests commented on how authentic and impressive the performances were, a true testament to the talent of Safire Belly Dancers!Do yourself a favor and hire Safire Belly Dancers for any and every occasion you can think of...I am certainly looking for the next excuse to throw a big party so that I can! As an Lebanese Egyptian I come from both worlds where belly dancing is big. Growing up at this part of the world i have seen hundreds if not thousands of performing artists. After my move to the US I was saddened by what ppl call belly dancers, then I saw Ashorina perform at one venue, and my jaw dropped, I could have bet that this performer is from the Middle East, not only she has the technique, but the soul, her feeling for the music, and the culture. Then I got to know that she’s a pro and has her own school. I would recommend everyone who would want to learn and most importantly feel belly dancing, to learn one thing or two from Ashorina. I am a new student of Ashorina, and really enjoy her class. She is super fun, friendly and approachable. She has strong technique and emphasizes the importance, as she is very attentive to each student, calling out correction or praise, in a friendly, non-judgemental manner. She explains movements or choreography clearly and shares insight into more elusive moves. I also am learning about different dancers, who she has studied with, which is cool. I have seen videos of Ashorina and Safire dancers, and hope to see them perform in the future!
