We were extraordinarily impressed with the work these fine gentlemen did for our custom artwork.They are very precise, detailed and extremely cautious. I am not familiar with getting framing done and was taken aback by the price initially but it is on par with other frame shops.This painting is very special to us and we would not have chosen any other shop to complete this task. These guys are awesome! They walk you through all your options with no BS, so you can get the best framing/backing/glass for your price range. Also, it turned out they didnt have enough stock of the frame I chose, but much to my relief they told me theyd be eating the cost of the order so that the price I paid wasnt changed from the initial estimate. Definitely come here if you need art/posters/anything else framed!

I brought in three small pictures from Italy to be framed with no particular plan in mind. The person with whom I dealt was very helpful and offered many ideas about the frames, the mats, the glass, etc. No hard sell. Turned out find. They’re on my wall and always draw comments.

Great to work with, very collaborative. We go to a lot of concerts and collect some cool posters. The accompanying photo is a poster with a metallic-finish frame and double-matte that coordinates perfectly with the imagery colors in the poster. The team at Blackbird worked with me and took the time to get the matte and frame just right. Many that we collect are numbered limited-edition posters so theres a level of trust required and Blackbird delivers. Plus, theyre competitively priced so Id recommend them for whatever the level of framing you require, theyll take good care of you and your art.

An Architect friend of mine gave me two pieces of his artwork to have framed. He also provided meticulous details and how he wanted them to be framed. Ive had a few things custom framed here and bought several ready-made frames, and everything has been great! The team has always been very helpful with advice on moulding selection, and the craftsmanship is outstanding. They even framed a wine bottle as an anniversary gift to my husband, which is an unusual item and takes a good deal of ingenuity and knowledge to do well!Im a big believer in the quality and effort that goes into custom framing, so I love that I can get ready-made frames that are made in the Blackbird shop. These are a terrific deal, as the materials they use are the same as what they use for custom jobs, and you can get frames made with some really cool moulding for an incredible price. The durability and finish on these ready-made frames is so much better than what you can get at a retail shop.

Everyone who works here is passionate about art and the quality of their work. I had two paintings from Provence matted and framed here and their suggestions were so thoughtful.... not at all about making more money but all about how to best display the painting. My husband also had a tricky job involving an older photograph that had warped, and they did such a fantastic job in the most cost-effective way. So glad I discovered them!!!

I had a small watercolor to frame and found Blackbird Gallery close to home. No appointment was needed so I went in around 5 p.m. Even though they close at 6 p.m. I wasnt hurried through my options (and there were many). I cant wait to see the finished product. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for framing and there are wonderful displays of shadow boxes, which gave me plenty of ideas for the future.

The picture had faded, and they were very upfront and honest with the information they gave us.They told us that it wouldnt be worth it to reframe it and actually showed us how we could get a better copy of the picture from an online site. We got a deal, and came here to frame a print that was a gift for my husband. The prices were a little higher than I expected, but we dont do much in the way of custom framing, and the end product is really beautiful. The whole consultation was quick, and the job was done within a week.
