I really like Michaels the only bad thing about my last visit was they were out of a lot of paint and that was why I went I cant give a bad review because its not their fault everyone has been cooped up because of covid and people started painting more to pass the time. If youre going for paint Id call ahead first

So glad this Michaels moved their location to the old Office Max. Its bigger and they have more inventory, at least it feels like it. I like shopping here because they have lots of discounts and coupons. I have an art business and Michaels is a great place to go if I need something last minute. Also the associates are pretty nice

I seriously love this Michael’s! I placed an online same day delivery order this morning and I truly received the Best customer service ever. I wish I got her name so I could brag about her but she fulfilled my order and some since they were out of stock on certain things. She picked out the closest thing to what I wanted and it was perfect! Prompt delivery as well. Thank you again!

They have a lot of decor for the holidays. But the prices of the Ashland pre-made wreaths, including the items to create your own is VERY expensive, even with the constant 40% off sale signs over them. In this economy. $129.99 for a 10 decorated wreath, that doesnt even light up, is way too expensive.Perhaps the wreaths will go on a 75% off clearance before Halloween. Then most of us can afford one. I should also mention that most of the decor items is for inside of the home (excluding the scarecrows, grave stones, etc).Ive stopped receiving their text notifications because they are always about decor on sale. Even on sale they are too expensive.Too much store space is spent on decor while the shelves that should carry the supplies of the most popular crafts trending now are empty. At the moment, Resin Art, Acrylic Pours and Card Making are very popular and I am doing them myself.Bottles of acrylic paints larger than 2oz are not available. Bottles of resin & hardeners, any type of resin colorants and the moulds for them are non-existent. In card making, they have a few very expensive Tim Holtz die sets and a few by an unknown company. They have lots of lovely cardstock, but unless you want to shell out a few hundred dollars for an electronic die cutting machine, you wont find any of the popular manual machines here.Its a shame. I used to depend on Michaels for supplies, but now I either drive further away to another craft store or join the Amazon Army.I hope Michaels will remember that most of their customer base are all about crafting and not decorating, before they join the line of stores that are going out of business.

Michaels customer service is wonderful!! I bought a tree a few weeks ago that was 60% off. Well we were going to put it up tonight.. opened the box and noticed it was NOT the tree it was suppose to be... someone had returned it, and stuck their OLD tree in it, you know the ones you had to put together by color coding. Needless to say... I couldnt find my receipt and called and spoke to the manager at the greenbriar location in chesapeake... she didnt have anymore of the tree in stock but called all the other stores in the area, Virginia beach nimmo location had it ! They held it for us we just swapped it out. I could say I am surprised someone would do that... Sadly I am not. Thank you michaels!

Locally the best place to get what you need for arts and crafts. I didnt find what I was looking for even though they had it a couple weeks ago but most of the time they have what you need. Usually typical wait in the lines.

Not a huge selection of floral however I did find enough to put together a bouquet to make up and it was all on sale. Lines were long but there was plenty of cashiers working and I was checked out rather quickly.

The check-out line became pretty backed up, but the staff were on point with opening more registers in a very timely fashion. As well as friendly cashiers. All around a pleasant experience. People working in framing department are worthless. Do not both to take pictures that you want framed. There solutions is to cut the picture up to fit the mat.

Always difficult to find someone to help you but check out was fast and friendly.

I was looking for glow in the dark stars to us in the preschool department at my church and they had them. I was trying to find them and a young lady who worked there not only helped me find them but she even showed me where they were!

Good selection, decent prices when you have a coupon or things are on sale. I believe this location is a bit bigger than some others.

Was helped by a very knowledgeable associate named Shannon, who lead me through the differences in paper types for different media styles. She helped us choose the right gift for my little brothers love interest, and gave us solid advice backed by her own experience.We were rung up by Morgan, who also was very cordial. Morgan helped 3 people in a row before getting to me, while the other two cashiers were still on the same customer. She was kind, caring, and quick!These nice young ladies have made Michaels my go-to arts and crafts store!

Went there looking for one item and I found two that were along the same lines of what I was looking for and I had a hard time deciding. What made it easy was they were 50% off so I bought both of them for the price of one. Now Im very happy with the with the two items on my entryway table.

I can always find something to fit the bill at Michaels! Love the assortment and availability on hand.

I have a problem pls help me .. Michaels is an amazing cornucopia of art supplies and I cannot deal..lol clean easy to navigate plenty of help and masked up and very sanitary...if you have a problem like me then run dont walk this is addictive fair warning they make it too easy!!!!

Michaels is a great place to go for most of your creative needs. Everytime I walk into one I wish I could buy half their inventory and not have to work so I could spend all day creating. Anyway, this location is pretty good. The store I always clean and the isles are organized well. Make sure to utilize their coupons and go during sales for good deals!

I wish it were a TAD more organized, but I found most things I was looking for. I was looking for things for Bullet Journaling this trip, and finding washi tape, stickers, and journal supplies were in 3 different weird aisles.Everything is also a tad pricier than online, but getting to tangibly look at things is sometimes worth the few extra bucks. My haul below (journal and content in red bag are NOT from Michaels trip!)

It can be a bit of a wait w/COVID going on, but they taking wonderful precautions! So, come when you have the time!

The store is always clean (although a little cluttered right now because of their annual clearance blowout). The staff is extremely helpful, whether answering where is it or how do I questions. If they dont know the answer, theyll find someone who does. I primarily shop in the cake decorating and painting sections.

Has everything you can think of to create!!! One thing I would like to see changed is their inventory. I wanted to purchase 4 poster frames online as they offered an additional 20% for online, in-store pick up orders. I selected the Chesapeake location but the inventory online said that they had none in stock; which was weird since I was in the store looking at about 10 of them in front of me. Now Ill have to travel into Virginia Beach as their inventory was updated.

Great variety of products for a whole bunch of crafts. When you catch a sale, or get a coupon emailed, prices are reasonable, bit not always. Store was clean.

A mess. Items you cant reach without a pole. Wrong prices. Shorthand on staff. Bathrooms with no paper prducts. A few registers opened. Never thought I would dislike Michaels. This location is not comfortable place to shop. Go anywhere else.

This is my regular store for crafts. Like many Michaels locations, this one can seem a little disorganized, but its a smaller one and thats why. It has a good selection and the most common items in good quantity. Yarn selection isnt the best. Plenty of art and art related hobby materials. Workers are nice and pretty knowledgeable. Remember to use coupons!

One stop shop for all of your crafting needs. The store is a lot better much cleaner and less jumbled. Everyone is friendly and helpful. If they do not have the item you are looking for you can always check the website. Checkout can be a wait due to the number of cashiers that were on hand when I went.

I enjoy shopping this location, alot of selections for anyone into arts and crafts, like it when you can use more than one coupon, only thing I would recommend is more staff assistance on the floor
